“Jana & Colten were awesome! They rolled with our situation of first day in the mountains with a new puppy!”

About: I have been a dog whisperer for most of my life, so let's say 30 years experience as an adult. We live in a resort town & as walk/check-on/care for primarily visiting dogs (We LOVE locals too.) I'm a 55 yr old outdoor-loving female professional & 18 years full-time Vail local. I work from a home office and have the ability to step away when needed. Please let me know if your pup is off-leash recall trained and interested in outdoor adventures. We live near many trails nearby. I do not take dogs to dog parks due to risk of other unhealthy pup & human behaviors which may place your dog at risk. It can also be COLD for our pups in the winter. Please keep him warm with a jacket and booties if needed. Or ask, and you may borrow them from me at no extra charge. If you'd like me to bring my 5 year old submissive dog - a labrador rescue, Silas, along as a playmate, just ask. He's no extra charge! I work from home which allows me to be with the dogs all day and evening. I take breaks every 90-minutes to play with my outdoor buddy - skinning, hiking, riding, dog park, you name it. With a flexible schedule, this means I can care for your furbaby also! We'll often take breaks to hike or walk. If you'd like, s/he can even go for a swim in the river! Your dog will always be leashed unless you give permission for otherwise at a park or trail. Every dog under my watch will wear an airtag with my phone number for safety. I will keep a wide berth when walking near other dogs. I prefer to go on trail rather than visit a dog park.

“Allison is great with my timid cats!”

“I appreciate Jade for taking the time too check on my lil DIVA....she was happy and perky when i got home....i will definitely be using her again....”

“Very dependable and communicative!”

About: Life is better with dogs and I often say we don’t deserve them! I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have 4 adorable miniature dachshunds. I wanted 2 more but my partner threw down the hammer on me saying no. I’ve used Rover in the past and had some really amazing experiences and one, not so great experience, so I understand the value in finding the right person to stay, play and take care of your loved ones. I’ve always valued my caretaker sending plenty of photos and videos while I’m away, so I always said if I did this for others, I would do the same! Trust and reliability are the most important things I’ve always looked for in having someone stay in my home with my pets while I’m away, and that’s what you get from me! I am currently retired and am fully available day and night! My partner and our 4 dogs stay at our house in Denver full time, and I stay at my house here in the Vail Valley, so there are no conflicts with my schedule. I would be the only person taking care of your pets! Pets are children. Always have been and always will be in my book. I love to play with, walk and snuggle them. I like to give them the same unconditional love they give us.

“Alina did such a great job checking in with our cat Luka while we were out of town! She communicated well, was punctual, and most of all - treated our cat like he was her own! We really enjoyed the thoughtful check-in notes and pictures she left every day. I would highly recommend Alina, and plan on using her in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and absolutely love animals of all kinds. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and sizes - from playful puppies to senior cats - and I bring a calm caring energy to every pet I meet. I am an environmental educator and work a consistent 8:30am-5pm schedule Monday through Friday. That means I’m available for early morning, evening and weekend pet care - and I’m great at keeping routines consistent. I love starting and ending my day with time spent outside or with animals so pet care fits naturally around my work. In a client’s home I follow all care instructions closely to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar space. I stick to their usual routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddles. I also make sure your home is left just as you found it.

About: I work from home and love who spends time outside. I have 2 cats and have had animals in my home my whole life. Friends and neighbors have relied on me to help care for their companions when needed. I ONLY specialize in cat sitting. Contact me anytime for any inquiries ! I currently work full time but I am available just most evenings and full availability Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays anytime. Contact me for requested times. When watching someone’s fur baby I always make sure all doors are secure. I have experienced losing a pet when it was being taken care of and it is the worst feeling. I do everything I can to make sure this does not happen under my watch, especially when entering someone’s home.

About: I have had various dog breeds over the last 30 years. Our last pets have gone to doggy heaven. I have chosen to not have a full time pet but would love the company of dogs and take care of yours when you need it I work full time from my home and can keep an eye on your dog and take them for walks daily when I take my walks I walk in trails every day and will take your pet, lwith me. I am not on a busy street and can play outside with your pet as well

About: Always had dogs and helped train them. Trained my own 11 y/o lab mix rescue. Work on Vail mtn in the winter doing medical and helping train avalanche dogs as a ski patroller. Been in the avalanche dog department for the past few years and have helped train a few of the newer pups on the hill. I feel like I'm uniquely prepared to handle any situation that comes up during walks as well as have some fun entertaining training games from work! I work four days a week building mtb trails and responding to medical emergencies in the summer but am available for walks all night after that and pet sitting in my days off. We own our home but don't have much of a yard. We live right next to a dog park if that is something your dog likes otherwise leashed walks and hikes.

About: I am self employed and work from home so have plenty of time to give attention to your pup. I have a 13 year old dog named Bruce. He enjoys slower walks and hikes but I’m happy to do longer walks or runs with your younger dog. Bruce gets along with all dogs and I would prefer yours does too! I have plenty of time throughout the day to walk, play, etc with your dog. Just let me know what their activity level is, off leash guidelines, and any other quirks. My yard is on the Gore creek, not fenced in. My dog and other visiting dogs always play down by the creek. If your dog is not good off leash or you don’t want them near the creek, I will keep them on leash at all times.

About: Hi, My name is Kalina and I am a professional dog sitter with 3 years of experience. I currently walk my boyfriend's dog every day and we have so much fun! Previously I have worked in hotels in Vail where I was often asked to take care of our guests' pets. I am a responsible, punctual and enthusiastic person, who follows clear instructions regarding feeding times and food type, the duration of walks and any additional requirements that you might have. Besides safety, my number one responsibility is that your dog will have a good daily exercise and will enjoy mental and physical stimulation unless instructed otherwise. I will keep your pet entertained and always try to build a good relationship in case you want this to turn into a long-term engagement. Looking forward to meeting your pet!

She has loved all of my kids, dogs, cats, and miscellaneous small animals over the years (and we've been friends for over 40, so there's been a lot of them!) like they are her own. Her beautiful dog Beacon has been a guest in my home so many times one of my kids learned to walk holding on to his fur! She truly loves animals, she's punctual and calm, and beyond trustworthy. She is my first choice whenever she is available because I know that my dog will be treated like a member of the family. She regularly sends photos and updates while she is watching my dog, which I love because I can be confident that Luka is well cared for. She is an animal lover in the truest sense of the word- I love knowing that when I leave Luka with her, he will come home happy and content.”

Kalina G.
