We recommend Laurie to anyone that ever asks about a pet sitter. Our boy loves his “vacations” at Laurie’s. We have never been able to leave him and feel 100% sure he’s in good hands enjoying his time other than with her. She also sends pictures and videos often!!

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. I would feed them, take them on walks, play with them, exercise them, make sure they had fresh water, and give them plenty of attention until their owners returned. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. I am CPR certified, physically fit, dependable, and treat every animal like family. I have a spacious home where pets have room to relax and feel comfortable, and I will always make sure they receive the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you are away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. As a 1099 contractor, my hours vary, which gives me the ability to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, midday check-in, evening care, or overnight attention, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is, and I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I am CPR certified and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. My wife and I have rescued stray cats and cared for numerous animals over the years, so we understand the patience and attention every pet deserves. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests you have. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving excellent care.

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for a very long time you can even say my whole life. I’ve raised cats, dogs, birds, chinchillas, even a chameleon from babies to adults. I’ve potty trained many puppies, taught them tricks, and even cared for pregnant mommas with puppies. Cats are more of my specialty though i’ve litter box trained them, taught them to walk on a leash, tamed feral cats/kittens. I also volunteer from time to time at the Acadiana Animal Aid shelter helping care for cats/dogs in need of homes. I’m currently working full-time. I work an 8 hour day normally from 8 am - 5 pm, my hours are flexible though. I also have a 1 hour lunch I can take. I’m completely free most weekends. I have a mostly fenced yard where my dog Huck loves to play, it is a little small but we make do with the space we have. My dog and cats gets fed twice a day morning/evening. If I’m caring for an animal in a clients home I can visit in the mornings/lunch/evenings depending on the care needed.

About: 💗 30+ Years Experience | Pet Lover & Rescue Mom 💗 About Me: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of hands-on pet care experience. From seniors to puppies, shy cats to sassy small breeds—I’ve cared for them all with patience, love, and genuine joy. I live with a small crew of rescues who remind me every day why I do this. Meet my furry family: 🐾 Sadie – my 17-year-old gentle senior pup who’s full of wisdom and love 🐾 Harley – a 9-year-old tuxedo cat with a flair for the dramatic and a heart of gold (even if he pretends otherwise) 🐾 Nemo – my 7-year-old Pomchi with a signature pout and a heart that melts for cuddles 🐾 Marley – a 5 lb Chi and the definition of a momma’s boy, always by my side Each of them came to me as a rescue, and their individual personalities have taught me how to tune into an animal’s needs—whether it’s a slow introduction, a cozy nap buddy, or just the right way to scratch behind the ears. I specialize in senior care, shy or anxious pets, and multi-pet households. I’m comfortable with all sizes and temperaments, and I treat every pet as if they were my own—because I know how important they are to you. What you can expect when your pet is with me: ✅ Calm, loving environment ✅ Personalized care based on your pet’s needs ✅ Medication administration (oral/injectable if needed) ✅ Regular updates and photos ✅ Deep understanding of pet body language & behavior Whether you’re headed out for a weekend or need a daily drop-in, you can feel confident your pet is in capable and compassionate hands. Let’s talk about how I can help give your pet a safe, loving experience while you’re away! I have a flexible job that allows me to schedule check-in visits throughout the week, so I’m available for midday potty breaks, feedings, or quick play sessions. I’m also free most weekends and happy to help with your pet care needs when you’re away! Safety & Trust Come First—In Your Home or Mine Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, their comfort, routine, and safety are always my top priority. 🏠 In My Home: 🐾 Calm, pet-friendly space with constant supervision 🐾 Safe, secure, and clean environment—no hazards or crowded areas 🐾 Slow, thoughtful introductions to my own friendly rescue pets 🐾 Comfortable areas for seniors, small breeds, and nervous pets 🐾 Personalized care for puppies, kittens, and special needs pets 🐾 Experience with oral meds, eye drops, topical treatments, and some injectables (with instructions) 🚪 In Your Home: 🏡 Respectful, responsible care in your pet’s familiar environment 🔒 I follow your safety protocols: gates, crates, feeding routines, meds 🐕 I never rush—each visit includes time for cuddles, play, and proper care 📸 You’ll receive regular photo updates and check-ins for peace of mind 🩺 Experienced with senior and special needs pets—mobility issues, incontinence care, anxiety, or routine-based behavior needs 🍼 Confident with young puppies and kittens, including feeding schedules, socialization, and extra clean-up care With 30+ years of experience, I’ve learned how to tune into each pet’s unique needs and provide care that’s not just safe—but truly loving. Whether you’re heading out for a few hours or a full vacation, you can trust your pets are in good hands.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my entire life, and my love for animals is at the heart of everything I do. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every dog and cat in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I have experience caring for puppies, adult pets, senior pets, and elderly or disabled dogs that require extra patience, compassion, and specialized care. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking companion, medication reminders, gentle assistance, or simply lots of affection and reassurance, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. At home, I’m a proud pet parent to two wonderful dogs, Sweetnezz and Sugar, and my cat, Meow. Caring for them every day has taught me the importance of consistency, trust, and creating a calm, happy environment. When you entrust your furry family member to me, you can have peace of mind knowing they’ll receive dependable, loving care and plenty of attention. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable, confident, and cared for every step of the way. Whether your pet needs a walk, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, medication, or just some extra love and companionship, I have the time to give them the attention they deserve. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life. As a proud pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to know your furry family members are safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m passionate about helping both pets and their owners by providing loving, reliable care and treating every dog and cat as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is receiving the same compassion, patience, and attention I’d want for my own Sweetnezz, Sugar, and Meow. I provide loving, dependable care in the comfort of your pet’s own home, where they feel the safest and most relaxed. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help reduce stress and keep them happy while you’re away. About: Hi! I’m a passionate and experienced dog lover with over 4 years of hands on experience working at a busy doggy daycare. In that role, I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Handling everything from playtime supervision and feeding to administering basic care and ensuring a safe, happy environment for every pup. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve grown up around them, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every dog like they’re my own with patience, attention, and lots of love. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a reliable sitter, or just some extra attention while you’re away, you can count on me to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care. I’m comfortable with high energy dogs, shy pups, and everything in between! I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I’m a teacher during the week, so my pet care schedule fits perfectly around that! I’m available in the afternoons/evenings on weekdays, and I have full availability on weekends, holidays, and throughout the summer. This allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency when their owners need it most. I have a dog of my own, but I live in an apartment, so boarding in my home isn’t ideal. My dog is friendly so play dates are definitely an option if you’re okay with it! I prefer caring for pets in their own environment where they’re most comfortable. In a client’s home, I always follow all provided instructions closely and do my best to keep your pet’s routine as normal and consistent as possible whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or any specific care needs. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and stress free while you’re away.

Our 70lb puppy can be a handful! We know. Lol. He is such a sweet dog, but might have a bit of an unhealthy attachment to his family. He definitely developed some big anxiety along the way and we have had difficulty kenneling him anymore. He needs some special attention to help calm him and he needs to know he's loved. We almost had to cancel our trip, but Tabitha agreed at the last minute for a meet and greet since he had never been around cats. She agreed to board him after we saw he was unfazed by the cats. She definitely cared for him very well! He didn't come home traumatized from being separated from us. He is active and moving as if nothing ever happened! He has a mean bark, but if you can get past it, you'll see he is just very protective and can be just so sweet. Tabitha went out of her way to make him feel at home!!! She is definitely a very loving animal person and I wouldn't hesitate to use her again and again!! Thank you Tabitha!

About: I've been blessed to foster more than 20 dogs over the past couple of years. I know training basics, have a big backyard, and currently have two of my own dogs who love to play. I am currently not working so I am free the majority of the time. This allows there to be little to no crating required during the day. I have a large fenced in backyard for free play and zoomies. Inside I have dog beds and toys and a lap for cuddling. My two dogs are friendly and have had plenty of exposure to other dogs through my fostering.

About: I have always loved dogs. I’ve always had a dog growing up and I love caring for them. I am very responsible and I have done this a couple of times before, but I would like to do it more often than I do. You can trust me with your pups! I am a college student and I babysit for two families who are very flexible! I can always make room in my schedule for your animals! I do not offer services at my home, however, I would care for your pets by feeding, letting them outside, or walking them, or if they would just like a little bit of company, I would go play with them. Any task you would ask, I can probably tackle!

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
