Dog Walkers in Durant, IA

About: I am open to most pets. Cats, Dogs, Horses, Calves, Lambs, Guinea Pigs, Turtles, etc..... If extra special care or out of state, I do charge travel fees. I do have experience with older pets and young ones. I have been known to raise Opossums from the size of mice to adults. If that gives you an idea! I am open to new proposals and willing to negotiate new situations! (Unencountered situations when it comes to pets) I also House-sit, plants, pets etc... I do travel out of state to Illinois (Mostly the North suburbs of Chicago) and Wisconsin. This is where I have done house-sitting. Pets and Plants can be included in this care. I do add travel expenses, mainly for gas, when traveling for house sitting. I get up in the morning and get my coffee going and then tend to pets that are around. They get fed first thing, inside and outside. Feral cats seem to be present in the morning. Litter boxes are checked. Water Bowls. Mostly I go to people's homes and care for the pets at their houses, but I have had people bring them to me. I have an extra room set up in my barn if there are anxieties or stress with animals and they need a quiet place. I am in the process of updating that room a little more. It is heated for the winter months. I do have hand brushes and combs for extra attention and I do go talk to whoever is around. If dogs come, they can be walked. Although I live in a small town, I am close to nice places to walk on the edge of town.

About: I have dog sat all types of dogs biggest being a Great Dane and the smallest a Chihuahua. I am very open to dog sitting any dog! I am currently working full time at the college of dentistry but I get off work at 5 everyday and have weekends and holidays off. I live in an apartment so I wouldn’t be able to board your dogs but I am very respectful of someone’s home and will take great care of your dogs.

About: I have taken care of my brothers dog who is 8 years old (Rottweiler/Lab 70lbs) for almost three years now. And once in a while I watch over my sisters dog who is a 2 year old American bulldog. I’ve taught my my brothers Rottweiler how to stay, sit. He is a very needy dog but I’ve learned to be patient. I taught my sister puppy to sit, give me his paw and leave it. Doggies can be so energetic but that’s the fun part. I’m currently working overnights (10pm/6am). And my mornings/ evenings are pretty flexible. The only days I wouldn’t be able to be free is on Tuesdays evening. At my apartment building we have a fenced yard made for pets if needed. Otherwise my apartment is pet free and your pet is safe. I can also watch them at your place if needed.

About: For years my daughter and I volunteered at a no-kill shelter fostering and adopting out dogs and cats. This gave me experience with several breeds. I work Tuesday through Friday from 8-5. My office is very close to the house and I am able to come home everyday for lunch. I have lots of time to spoil your pets! I live in a condo with a very large yard. Your pets will have the run of the house. I have one cat that rules the roost!

About: I have 30 years of dog experience and will love your dog like my own. There is no dog or task too big or too small. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and grew up with 100+ pound dogs in our home and on our furniture. I work well with all temperaments. Please let me know how I can help! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time for your pups! My schedule is flexible, and I’m open to any hours: days, nights, weekends. I have a quarter acre fenced in yard for your pups to feel the wind in their fur! My puggle Oscar loves to play with other dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs since I was in high school, from family members, neighbors, or friends! I can provide services for dogs, cats, smaller animals ect. I have cared for puppies that need help with potty training, special dogs that need extra care and help with certain needs, to senior dogs that need help getting up or walking around. I’ve also given oral medications for dogs at multiple different families. I have also been a Nanny for Iowa Elite Nannies since 2018 and pick up shifts for numerous families around the area. I am renovating a house so with all the things that’s going on at my home I’d prefer to come to you for a better safer environment for pets at this time. I am very active and love going on walks and playing with pets in anyway I can to make sure they get all their zoomies out. I currently work full time (7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday) as a dental assistant at North Liberty Oral Surgery and Dental Implants. I can provide drop-in visits before/after my work hours or during my free time or weekends. I can possibly do overnights at the rovers house as well if requested and works out with my schedule. My home is currently undergoing renovations at this time so I’m not offering boarding at my home. I will stay at the rovers house with their pet if requested. I love all animals and will treat them like my own. If the pets family has a routine for the animals or specific requests I will obviously follow that and do what is asked. Obviously food, water, and potty breaks are a necessity and I will provide that for your pets. If your pet has an specific diet, allergies, medications Id request that it be written down, so I can always make sure I’m giving your pet the correct portions/amounts.

About: I showed pitbulls semi professionally when I was a teenager. I have lived on a farm most my life so animals and I always get along. I'm currently working from home as a Game Developer. I am on a rugby team that practices Tuesday/Thursday 6-8pm and games on Saturdays, so there are a few select times I'm not available. I have a Husky who loves making new friends and 2 cats that are indifferent to others. I enjoy spending time with animals whether its cuddles, active play, or just sitting in the room so they aren't lonely.

About: Hi! My name is Amanda. I have worked in doggie daycare, worked as a bather and in the sales department! At work I got to experience different breeds, temperaments and personalities! My favorite part of my job is building strong relationships with the owners and their dogs! I also have experience dropping in homes while their owners are at work, school or out of town. When I do drop ins I have taken them on walks, picked up after them and fed them. I absolutely love working with all animals! I do have a full time job working with adults with intellectual disabilities. Mon-Fri I do work from 730am-4pm. I am still available during the weekends and can also do house sitting during the days that I work! I will follow their daily routine and make them as comfortable as possible while you are away. While walking them I will keep distance from other animals to ensure their safety. I will also follow all dietary needs and feeding schedules.

About: I have 30 years experience and I love animals! I have taken care of various breeds and trained many of my own ! I currently own a german shorthair pointer and a bluetick coonhound. I also have two cats and two bunnies. I have completed several obedience classes over the years and have a lot of experience at the local dog parks. I have summers off because I am a teacher so I have plenty of flexible time available to work. During the summer I'm available more because I'm a teacher. During the school year I'm mostly available on weekends and after 4 pm. I can do drop in visits and occasionally do housesitting/dog sitting. My own dogs go on daily walks they also have a fenced in yard and are trained off leash on our three-quarter acre property. At your home, I am willing to follow whatever routine your dogs are used to including walks or crating if necessary.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, I’ve done dogsitting gigs for 4years on weekends and in the summers. Walking, feeding, watering, playing, and of course cleaning up after the dogs. I love taking walks, so going on walks with dogs makes it so much better. Three years ago, I helped my parents when they got a new puppy, and cared for it, learning how to take care of dogs on my own, another reason why I love dogs. I love the energy, and the happiness dogs bring off to humans. I just graduated from the university of northern Iowa and have the summer off before I start my first teaching job in the fall! About: I am responsible, reliable, caring and trustworthy. I have struggled to find the right pet sitter in the past, and to find someone that was available when I needed them. I would love to be that person for you, and able to help you out when you need it most. My pets are my world, so know I would treat yours like their my own and love them just as much as you do and make them feel at home. I know how hard it is to leave your pets alone with a stranger so I like to always do a meet and greet before watching your pets, so I can get to know your dog and you before taking that responsibility and giving you peace of mind! I want to point out I have a full time job, I do work 7:30-4:30, and work from home Wednesday to Friday. Please keep in mind when you’re booking with me. I’m free on the weekends and most weeknights. Most Thursday and Friday nights is iffy because I bake for the farmers market and sometimes have too much to do to be able to help out those nights. Please feel free to message me with any questions I love nothing more than making my own dog happy by having other dogs over to play and love being able to spend time with other people animals and give them the attention they need when their owners are out having fun. I would love to know if your dog needs kenneled or can stay out if I am gone, or to know what I need to do for them if I need to leave them. I would be able to take them on walks, play with my dog, anything you want I can do. I won’t take any dogs to the dog park.

About: I love both dogs and cats like their my own. I have 20+ years experience with caring for pets. I have experience with walking, bathing, brushing, and playing with cats and dogs. I have a day time job Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm. I would be able to take the dogs out before work, and when I get home. My husband works from home 2-3 days a week and would be available to be home to take care of your fur baby during every Thursday and Friday. On the weekends, I am able to take dogs out at at least every 2-4 hours. Thursdays/Fridays, my husband will be helping me with potty breaks while I am at my day job. I do not have a fenced in area, but will take your fur-baby out as often as needed between my husband and I both. We will use a leash to keep your pet safe!

About: Being in the military not only have I had special training with bigger dogs but also having close relatives with ESA (emotional support animals) I have always been very close and caring of animals as they are the most pure hearted things on the planet Currently all days are available and am willing to watch on weekends as well animals are the key to the soul and I’m excited they are apart of our lives I live not to far from a dog park and have many toys and space for animals I have a caring girlfriend as well who is very supportive of animals

About: I’ve taken care of many animals since I was just a little kid. I’ve always held a special place in my heart for dogs, along with small critters. Just recently I moved from Wisconsin, working at a humane society there where everyday I did all the basic care routines/evaluations for approximately 40 dogs. It was a blast, but I’d also love to slow down, and give 1 on 1 attention to the needs of each. I am currently a pretty free person, beginning my career of dog training, Bait’s Purpose: K-9. I plan my future around my dogs, and training. I care for pets however is requested by the owner(s), this just varies on what each dog is comfortable with. Dogs are in great care, however.
