“Eileen was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of Maeva, Maude, and Vito, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She sent so many photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious they were well cared for and loved.❤️ She also left my home spotless, which I really appreciated. I’m so thankful I found her and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Bri was fantastic with my pups! It was so great being able to go on vacation and not have a single worry that my dogs were in great hands. I received daily photos and videos! She also gave my house a clean before I got home, which was such a relief after a long day of traveling. I definitely plan to have Bri watch my pups again!”
“Doreen was absolutely fantastic! She kept us informed daily with texts and photos while we were away. She took wonderful care of our dog Hank and our house, too. She gave us total peace of mind while we were away and we would not hesitate to use her services again. She is the BEST!!!”
“We have a two very shy dogs we adopted from the humane society. They never even remained in our kids care, so we were incredibly impressed when Celine came for a greet and meet and was able to get kisses from both Jasmine and Rodney. Celine is an exceptional pet sitter with an amazing attitude and huge range of experience as well as patience. Celine was the most carrying and attentive person and was always on time. We appreciated her willingness of being flexible with the bookings. Celine has wonderful personality and had wonderful positive outlook on our specific situation. We are very thankful Celine responded quickly to our request and was able to confirm our booking on such a short notice.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by different types of dogs my whole life from sports dogs to K-9 units to house dogs. I love all kinds of dogs and I have dog sat many dogs like huskies and yorkies. I currently care for a 15 year old pitbull that needs attentive care and have the ability to adjust to newcomers and elder dogs. I have two dogs that I care for after my full time job. I’m currently looking for a side hustle job that I can do after work. Keeping the dog in its dominant home I think is safer than transporting the dog into a new environment. I’ll be sure to feed the dog its regular based food plan, constant let outs to bathroom use, and extensive cleaning if accident
About: Through my 25 years of living, I have had the privilege of having several dogs in my life. Four Rottweilers, Bull Mastiff, Yorkie, Pug mix plus pups of different breeds that my family and I have fostered in the past. I truly care for my pets and consider them my children. I I am also an advocate for all animals and would treat your pet as I would my own. Also I am experienced in medication administration and first aid. I’m available mostly during the week in the morning and some afternoons. Weekends may vary. Your pet will enjoy long walks and playing in the park as well as playing fetch. I am very active and will be able to keep up with your pet!

“We did a meet and greet prior to leaving our girls. They loved Morgan immediately. When Morgan arrived today, the girls greeted her tails wagging '. We came home to two very happy pups. Thanks Morgan.”

About: Having been around animals my entire life, I recognize that every pet has their own special personality. Sometimes, beautiful personalities require more attention, love, or patience than others. Every pet I have owned has been rescued in some form or another, whether from a shelter or right off of the street, and each one has brought their own challenges, but also their own beautiful ways of showing love. I have no problem with jumpy, hyper, or "mouthy" pets, or any other behaviors that might be deemed "problematic". My life with all sorts of animals has allowed me to gain valuable skills, including being comfortable around pets of all sizes and shapes, handling "pushy" behaviors, and caring for senior pets with specific health issues. Allow me to offer a loving hand when yours is not available. While I do work full-time, my schedule outside of the office and ability to travel allows me the flexibility to accommodate for any pet's needs. My number-one priority has always been safety. I've worked in professional environments with animals, such farms and shelters, and carry with me the valuable lessons I gained from those jobs.

About: I’ve own dogs since I was little. German Shepherd, poodle, Mastiff mix. Board and dog sitting for friends and family throughout the years. Love dog company, caring for them, providing the best attention, playtime, basic training and good nutrition to ensure their happiness and a healthy life. Animals are like family. Their wellbeing is very important to me. They are just amazing and precious. My last best friend, my boy Dice, (now in heaven), a 110lbs American Bulldog, was potty trained at 3 months old. As he grew, I taught him not to pull when on a leash, to sit and lay down, to be calm when we had visitors, to seek, fetch, obedience and other basic commands that are important to teach at an early age. When I was away from home, I made sure he had the best sitters or boarding care possible. I understand you would like the same for your dog. After 14 happy years, sadly, age came with arthritis, difficulty standing up or walking. But I was there 24/7 to provide the best care and love. I administered oral medication every 6 hours for 1 year, allowing him to still do very short potty trips and walks outdoors. The last 4 months of life, all was done indoors. I helped to get to an area I prepared to go potty. Sometimes it happened on the way. He had to be cleaned up several times a day and fed by hand. Sleepless nights always by his side. We made several trips to the emergency hospital until the doctor said it was time to let go. Very painful. His ashes are with me now. He will be forever in my heart. I will do it all over again. Dogs are like children. They deserve all the best. Until I find my next best friend, let me give yours all my love and attention. I work from home with my own schedule. I have plenty of time to provide all the attention he/she needs to be comfortable, loved and happy. Keeping your dog mentally and physically entertained is important for a perfect day. I don’t have a fenced yard but plenty of outdoor space, surrounded by trees for short walks on a leash, games and a backyard deck & porch for free time and fresh air. Your puppy will feel at home and cozy.
About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including two Newfoundlands, an Australian Shepherd, a Newfie-Aussie mix, and a Chocolate Lab. My four legged friends have always had my heart, and I'll treat yours like family too! I'm a recent law school graduate, studying for the bar full-time. Pet care fits easily into my routine and I love breaking up study time with walks, playtime, and cuddles. Your pet will always be a happy priority! I always focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy, whether I am in my home or yours. I follow your pet's routine closely and make sure they get lots of attention, playtime, and supervision to ensure they feel relaxed, loved, and right at home.

About: I've grown up with no less than 2 dogs at a time. Now I have 3 of my own and I am looking to open my home and offer my services since I am home full time!! We are always outside playing, going for walks and experiencing nature!! I would love to have the opportunity to care for other peoples animals!! The passion I have for animals could definitely be of use to many :) Let me know how I can help!! I work from home and I’m able to constantly care for my 3 pups. The more the merrier! I get up early and run the pups, feed them and let them sunbathe out back. Pets are allowed on our furniture and are treated as the family that they are. I have a fully fenced in yard, plenty of toys and puppy friends to keep your babe occupied and having the time of their lives! My dogs also have their own crates if our visitor is uneasy around our dogs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 216 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dupont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dupont walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dupont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dupont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dupont. On Rover:

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
