“He helped get my sweet pups confidence up and playing with bigger dogs without being so submissive! My 6 months pup has gone less than 10 times and it’s already made such a positive difference in our Obi. Thank you for helping our pup grow in great ways!!”

“Lauren was great! She was flexible & accommodating, loved on our Tucker dog, who can have high separation anxiety, and communicated with us through the day to let us know how he was doing and to verify any concerns. It was a blessing to have her watch him for the day, allowing him to join us on this trip but to know he was in good hands while we completed activities he could not join us for. We would definitely use Lauren again!”
“Boo and Sadie loved their day with Jill. We received our first photo about 20 minutes after we dropped them off. Seeing so soon into the visit that they were having a good time was very reassuring. Later in the day we got 3 photos of them on a walk through a park. They spent the day playing with other dogs and a walk in the sunshine. What could be better? Would definitely recommend Jill!”

“Chloe and her family took great care of our pup when we were in town for a softball tournament. She was really flexible in accommodating our last minute game schedules for drop off and pick up. ?”
About: If your dog loves walks, attention, and being treated like absolute royalty… we’re going to get along great 🐾 I’ve been dog sitting for over a decade, and at this point it’s less of a job and more of a personality trait. I walk my own dog three times a day (yes, we’re that kind of household), and I genuinely can’t wait to add your pup to the routine! I’m fully that girl who has to stop and say hi to every cute dog I pass—and by the end of it, we’re best friends. So just know: your dog is not getting casual care… they’re getting full-on obsession. Your doggo will get plenty of walks, love, cuddles, attention, and playtime from me and my sweet girl Sparrow. Think of it as a little vacation where they’re the main character 💁♀️ Can’t wait to meet your pup and become their new favorite human (besides you of course!) I work 8-5p M-F but work from home 3 days a week and have availability to walk early mornings, evenings, and during my lunch breaks! My weekends are typically very free and are usually filled with park visits and walks! I treat other dogs just like they are my own, and my girl is treated like an absolute queen! I make sure doors are securely closed, that anything potentially harmful is stored away, and always take weather into consideration when walking (if it’s over 80 degrees out, I will provide boots to ensure that pups don’t get their paws burned!) I make sure to bring water and poop bags and will always communicate if something seems off.
“Matt has been wonderful in helping with my foster. He has been flexible with our hours as I don’t work traditional hours. He has helped socialize my girl with his dogs and I get pics to know she’s ok 👍🏽”

“Alexis and Jacob watched Baja for the first time and it was a total success! Baja is very sweet but can be a handful and so we were pretty picky about who could take the reins after her last sitter moved. Based on the friendliness, competence, reliability, and great communication we experienced with Alexis and Jacob, we’re thrilled to have a new loving and safe place for Baja to stay when we’re gone.”

About: We have taken care of many friends and families dogs over the years, small and large breeds. We've helped potty train puppies. We have had great success teaching them great tricks, such as sit/lay/wait/shake/whisper/etc. We are a newly empty nest home, very adventurous and outdoorsy. Taking your fur baby on hikes and long walks, playing at the park and enjoying our fenced in backyard. We are newly emptynesters, as both our boys are away at college. Dad works full time, Mom was a full time Mommy until the boys moved off to College. We lost our Yorker a few years back, but we were in a phase of life that kept us too busy for a new fur baby. But now that the boys are off to college and life has settled down some, we’ve talked about the possibility of bringing in a new dog to the family. Dad wants a new dog now, Mom wants to make sure it’s the right time first. So as a compromise, we want to care for and love your pets while you are away. On occasion, the college boys will be home to love on your fur babies as well. We are a very active couple, we love the outdoors. We'd love to have your dogs along for the fun! We cannot watch cats in our home, but are happy to do drop in visits in your home to play with and care for them. We do accept dogs in our home for care. We have a fenced in backyard for lots of playtime, and fields and parks nearby for longer walks and play. We currently have two cats, so your dog must do well with cats to stay in our home. We can also do daily or multi daily check ins on pets in your home (sorry, no housesitting/staying over in your home). We will play with them, cuddle with them, feed/water, clean litter boxes and make sure they are happy and safe in the comfort of their own home. Whether our home or yours, you can trust that your fur babies will be happy and safe in our care while you are away.
“Hannah was great. She was very flexible and punctual and cared for our pup well. It was nice knowing our dog got to enjoy farm life. She even washed him when he got muddy. Very kind.”

“Thanks Roxanne you were always calm, flexible and easy to work with. I would not recommend for smaller dogs. Our pup went 2 days and came back both days a bit overwhelmed, exhausted and especially on day 2 he was stinky and scratched up. As a one year old he may not have been able to hold his own with the larger older dogs. It seems to be a great place for larger dogs, but even my 80lb Ridgeback was overwhelmed and may have been out muscled. He tends to play hard and get clumsy. Will certainly consider in the future for booking.”

“Penny had a great day with Christina! During the day, Christina sent me photos of Penny and updates on how she was settling in and getting on with her family furry friends. Christina is super friendly and a great communicator. I felt totally at ease leaving Penny with her.”

About: I've have cared for my own cat and labrador retriever. This includes administering medication oral, and injuries on paws. I have also babysat cats and dogs for neighbors, this included giving high care and spending quality time. Lastly, I have volunteer as a caregiver for cats at a shelter. I have learned to read cats body language and monitor them when they seem unwell. I take care of my labrador retriever and cat. Currently I have a part time job but I have open availability on weekdays and weekends. I care for clients home and pets like it's my own. All animals will be treated with high care and monitoring as well as homes. I want clients to feel comfortable with daily updates!
“My little dog Clara absolutely adores Susan and Ian and their two big dogs. They have such a wonderful dynamic with their intelligent, energetic dogs, and it melts my heart to see Clara be welcomed into their pack. She comes home so happy and tired from a full day of exercise, play, affection, and relaxing among her favorite spots. Their pickup add-on is really wonderful, and Clara gets so excited when she realizes it's time to go have fun with Baz and Ruby! It is so special to see my little dog and other new friends in daycare all confidently playing together. Every daycare dog she's met with them has been an immediate friend--not always what you expect with a chihuahua away from mom and home--and that speaks to how thoughtfully Susan and Ian manage the group. They have a real gift for understanding different dogs so that they feel comfortable, safe, and included. I trust them completely with Clara and couldn't recommend them more highly.”

About: I've grown up around Labradors my whole life. Right now I have a yellow lab named Jasmine. She's a very high energy 10 year old dog. She's not the type of lab who likes to play fetch or even go into water. Which I feel is quite odd. The funny thing about Jasmine, she sounds like a monkey at times when she wants to come in the house. A little about me- I love being out in nature. My favorite place to walk is the beautiful Sherwood parks. I feel dog walking could be a lot of fun on my off season of my main job which is school photography. I've worked as a school photographer for 22 years. So I have a lot of patience with kids and feel I could take on any kind of dog. Right now I'm looking to fill my time walking dogs so I can get more exercise and love on many different types of dogs. I'm looking to make some extra money and take some great walks around town. I'm very dependable and will show up when I say I will. I will always make sure your amazing dog is cared for to the fullest and know they will be in safe hands while I have them.
“Wow, Jami was wonderful and you can really tell that she is an animal lover! She went above and beyond to make sure Duckie was taken care of at daycare. She even took him to the dog park so that he could run and play with the other dogs. He was sleepy and happy when I picked him up. I got adorable photos and video updates throughout the day as well. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I have 10 years of specific dog care experience—from the puppy stage through the senior years. I understand that different ages and breeds need differing levels of energy and respond in kind. I know how important it is for your pup to feel safe and calm but also know how to let them let loose and have fun/playtime! I adore dogs and can’t wait to help care for your fur baby for you. I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is fairly open. I can work in walks, visits, and feedings for your pup(s) as it works for you. I also have a fenced in back yard, and can offer day boarding as needed, so your fur baby will have access to space to run and play while staying safe. Happy to also offer short term boarding or in (your) home care for times when you are out of town. Based on your needs, I can keep your pet here at my home where I have a fenced in yard, and can also crate your pet, if that is something they are used to. On walks, I will always keep your pet leashed and will offer a calm and gentle environment at all times while they are in my home. If your needs require me to be in your home, I will follow any and all guidelines pertaining to your space.

“Dottie is a dog guru! Keisha stays with Dottie at least twice a week and is completely at home which is saying a lot for a pup with anxiety. Dottie has tons of experience and I never have to worry that my old pup is in the best hands. Everyday the dogs get a lovely walk through the park next door; and if it's raining, Dottie has renovated her garage into a temperature controlled doggie play space and lounge. I wish I got to stay somewhere as nice! No doubt in my mind, with Dottie my dog is spoiled.”

“Vanessa was very communicative up front, explaining her typical daily approach with dogs in her care, visibly showing us the environment the dogs would be in, and outlining her credentials and passion for dogs. Drop off and pickup were very smooth, again with great communication, and our dog seemed to love his stay during daycare. We definitely plan to book with Vanessa again and recommend others do so as well.”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Dundee is $40
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dundee
Finding Lauren via Rover has truly been a heaven send. She walks our dog daily while we are at work, and also provides daycare for our dog in her home when our schedules align. Our pup is high energy and Lauren is always happy to have her around, even though she is a lot of work. On days that we have daycare our dog cannot hold back her excitement to be at Lauren’s house. Lauren always has amazing communication and flexibility with us. We are so happy to have her to call on when we need help. Thank you Lauren, you are amazing!

We came from out of state to explore and my on last day I wanted to shop so I knew I couldn't take my dog so I decided to ask Brianna if she could watch over my stubborn old soul. Brianna was outstanding, she was very patient and welcoming toward my dog since this was the very first time leaving him behind for a day to go sightseeing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is a first timer like my dog and myself.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Dundee
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,583 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Dundee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dundee commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,583 sitters in Dundee, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
