“Emilee was awesome! Shakka is our elderly baby and she was sure to keep us in the loop through pictures and letting us know how he is carrying on throughout his day. We are happy to have found her.”

“Fabulous experience...could not be better. Melanie sincerely cares about the dogs in her care. She is intuitive and understands the dog breeds’ characteristics. Great communication; she shared stories about my dog. I got lots of photos too.”

“Zack is the best! We left our three babies with Zac, one being 15 years old with a medical condition. Zack put our fears to rest to the point we were able to celebrate our wedding without concerns of how our dogs were being treated and cared for. We extended a day and Zac was caring enough to let us know he would be away from the dogs all day and if we were okay with it. We will definitely use him again and recommend to anyone with Barksdale AFB access.”

“I never have to worry about my fur baby I know she is in good hands with her I have booked her 3 or 4 times now and will continue to book with her ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“Danielle was SUPERRRRRRRR sweet! She updated me throughout my entire fur baby’s stay with pictures/texts. She eased my anxiety for sure. She took great care of my little Gracie! She has a beautiful home with a nice fenced backyard, which was also very beneficial for my anxious little chihuahua. I’d recommend her for your fur babies.”

“Piper had a great time. I received pictures of her living her best life. They really understood what Piper wanted to do. Walk, lay in the sun and lay on the couch after a walk. I'll bet she barely knew we were gone.”

“Andrea and her husband were great. I will definitely call them again I’ve never left my Buddy with strangers. They made me feel so comfortable. I’m very pleased with their service. Andrea even text me to let me know my Buddy was doing good. I highly recommend their Dog sitting service !”

“This was our first time using Rover and having a dog sitter, so we were a little nervous. But, Samantha kept us up to date with our boy. She was very accommodating to our schedule and to his eating habits. Jethro enjoyed his visit, and we will book again. Thank you!!”

“My heart is so happy to have found Kaley to watch my precious Scooter. We just moved across country from California and I needed someone who would love on Scooter and make him feel secure in this time of uncertainty and change. Kaley made Scooter feel so loved and I appreciated the videos and pictures so very much. What piece of mind! I will definitely book with Kaley again. Scooter and I say thank you!!!”

“Excellent care Melissa took excellent care of my two fur babies. She provided a few pictures showing that they were adjusting to being with her. The next she let me know that they were doing well. When I picked them up both puppies were playful and happy.”

“Chop had a lot of fun. Would recommend Hilaire to anyone. She’s attentive to the dogs and kind. Very helpful accommodating to you. I had to book last minute and she accepted quickly. Will be rebooking in the future”

“Amazing experience, Tinesha handled a last minute ask, kept me up to date, and her family took such good care of our rambunctious and need pup. Will certainly come back again!”

“Wow Ciara is truly amazing. She is super communicative, kind, and really cares about animals. She also is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and dog behavior. She helped with some training with my dog and I can definitely tell a difference.”

About: My family has owned dogs since I was 3 years old. I have taken care of animals of all kinds, including big, little, and elder dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens. I adopted my own dog in July of 2025. He was a rescue from Dubach, LA and loves dogs more than people! Currently I am working on my Masters of Business Administration online, meaning I have plenty of time to dedicate to anyone’s wonderful animal(s)! When I enter a client’s home, I always want to ensure the upmost respect is being given not only to the owner, but also their home and possessions as well. But most importantly to the animal. My main goal is making sure they get plenty of potty breaks and can get energy out by having fun and using their brain.
About: I volunteer on my off time at my local dog rescue. I also have fostered many dogs in the past year for Caddo shelter and Parish Paws. I grew up around dogs and own two of my own who are always willing to play with other dogs. If there’s ever a concern of aggressive I separate the dogs when let out for potty breaks or in the house. I am taking off work for the next two months so my schedule is open minus a couple dates here and there. You can expect me home majority of my days. My pets are always fed and given water through the day and let o it frequently. They enjoy playing fetch or running in the yard and going on car rides or walks.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 61 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Doyline. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Doyline home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Doyline.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Doyline sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
