About: I have years of experience with dogs big and small, reptiles and pocket pets. I have a 11 month Coonhound mix that I rescued from Nate’s and I spoil him everyday. I’ve volunteered as Veterinary Assistant at the HSSC animal clinic, worked in a dog daycare and boarding facility for over a year. I have experience working with dogs with medical attention. The last 3 years I had a Boston(Sailor) with Epilepsy and would give medication around the clock and experienced with recognizing and handling seizures. Your loved pets are my new family. I’m currently part time and have a flexible schedule. Lots of my mornings and afternoons are free to take care of your pups needs like meals, medication, play time and walks. Or just to have the company of another! I have a friendly playful dog that can keep them company and play. I enjoy going to the park when the weather allows it so we can get fresh air and exercise. I like to leave the tv on nature channel with relaxing sounds to keep them comfortable if I’m not around. When it seems they are getting board I like to give enrichment toys filled with yummy healthy treats. And I’m the cuddling type if they allow it.

About: I've had pets in my home as long as can remember, I love animals. I love going on walks, playing ball or tug of war, or just a belly rub and snuggle. About: Been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I’ve had cats and digs growing up my entire life! I love to be active and walk and have free time and would love to be around animals I am Flexible all week and weekend when in town. I do travel often. Want to stay busy when I am in town and love animals! I can do whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard and crate of my own. I only crate mine now when needed but that is not often as he is older. I only have one of my dogs with me at my home as my other dog is with my mother in my home town.

About: I had a dog throughout my college years and beyond; my best dog friend would sing songs with me in my car. I have since walked neighbors dogs most recently the last 4 1/2 years until the dog unfortunately passed away from cancer. I miss her so much. I have no intentions of getting another dog myself. Just love to Walk and talk with my neighbors pets. I am retired, and living in a Sarasota downtown condominium, That is my preference for pet sitting, dog walking. I have had cats also, Thelma and Louise, sisters and a tiger cat called Smiley. This depends on the pet owners preference. I can go in feed, litter box, wslk the dogs make sure they are happy and taken care of.

About: I’ve cared for dogs consistently for neighbors since I was growing up, which gave me hands-on experience with different breeds, personalities, and routines. Last summer, I also worked at Groomerie as a dog bather, where I learned how to safely handle dogs, read body language, keep pets calm, and make sure they felt comfortable during care. I understand that every dog has different needs—whether that means extra energy on walks, gentle care for nervous pups, or a calm approach with older dogs. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for like family. Pet care fits well into my routine this semester. I’m a college student taking three online courses, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m also shadowing for OT and PT three days a week, but outside of those hours I have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with pets. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so pet care is something I’m excited to make part of my weekly routine. Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any house rules they have in place. I know consistency helps pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I’m attentive to each pet’s behavior, keep a clean and safe environment, and always make sure doors, gates, leashes, and food areas are secure. During walks, I stay alert to surroundings and make safety my main focus. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals and have two of my cats who do not currently live with me. one I’ve cared for over six years. I’m easy to work with, dependable, and especially patient with senior pets. I gained a lot of experience helping care for my grandma’s senior dog, as well as two crazy pugs (so i can handle anything). Whether it’s dogs or cats, I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! This was my first time using Rover and I have to admit, I was very hesitant to let strangers into my house and more importantly let them be alone with my dog who is a very shy and timid rescue. I expected the worst. Boy oh boy was I wrong. Jose and Alexis were BEYOND accommodating. The first day they came over to start a walk, my dog was terrified and wouldn't approach or leave with them. Jose and Alexis were so communicative about the situation and sat at home for 90+ minutes doing everything they could to get Layla comfortable with them. It worked, above and beyond. The next 2 days, they came by and everything went very smoothly. Lots of pics, videos and communication, before, during and after their walks/runs. It's hard to articulate how great this experience was and we will be enlisting Jose and Alexis' services moving forward for any and all things pet care related.
