“Tanner was great. We have 4 beagles and a cat. The beagles and cat really took to Tanner as soon as he got out of his car for our meet and greet. We will definitely be using Tanner again. He kept us up to date on the dogs while we were on our trip. Thank you Tanner”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 11yo. I’ve cared for Australian Shepherds, Poodles, Rat Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Papillions, Irish Wolfhounds, Pit Bulls, Bichon Frisés, and more. I have four dogs now: German Shepherd Mix, German Shorthaired Pointer, and two Pembroke Corgis. I’m familiar with small and large dogs. I’m non-judgmental and understanding if your baby has separation-anxiety. I work 8AM to 4PM Monday through Thursday, but am free to watch your babies in the evening and Friday through Sunday. I provide drop-in visits and house-sitting. I have a fenced-in yard, two crates and four dogs all ready to be their new best friend! I do prefer to watch them in your home, not mine as I have one dog that isn’t the most friendly.
“Thank you so much, Kayla! You were there to help us get our precious dog from the vet to the hospital while dealing with my chemo brain. You were there to listen and concerned for our dog. Wish you only the best in life. God bless you.”

“Darian was absolutely amazing with our puppies! She took good care of them, was super responsive and even went above and beyond to pick up one of them from the vet while recovering from a sickness. I already have her booked for more time with her and so very thankful to have her!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other animals for over 18 years, and it’s truly something I love doing. Throughout that time, I’ve had the opportunity to care for puppies, senior dogs, and every age and personality in between. From daily walks and feeding schedules to bathing, playtime, and overnight care, I’ve worked with dogs in a variety of settings and understand that each one has unique needs. I’m also a dog parent myself. My 8-year-old rescue pup has taught me so much about patience, trust, and helping a dog feel safe and loved. Supporting her as she healed from past trauma has deepened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced my belief that every pet deserves compassionate and individualized care. Whether your pet needs a walk, companionship while you’re away, or someone to keep up with their daily routine, I will care for them with the same love that I give my own. I currently work full-time remotely in the Lebanon area, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and be available throughout the day for pet care needs. Whether your pet needs drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, or overnight care, I’m often able to accommodate a variety of schedules. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pets while you’re away, and I strive to provide consistent, attentive care while keeping their routine as normal as possible. Feel free to reach out with your specific needs, and I’ll do my best to find a schedule that works for both of us. I strive to provide a safe, warm, and trustworthy environment where pets can feel at home. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your furry family member with someone who will care for them as their own. My 8-year-old rescue pup helps make our home a welcoming place for visiting dogs. Whether they want to play, explore, lounge on the couch, or simply enjoy the company of another dog, she’s great at meeting them where they are. Together, we create an environment where dogs can feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away.
“Madeline was amazing! She updated us as needed and sent pictures of our puppy living her best life. She went above and beyond and we will call her again next time. You can feel confident in choosing her to care for your dog.”

About: While I’m new to pet sitting professionally, caring for animals has always been something I’ve genuinely enjoyed.I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to follow care instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident while they’re away, and I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and respectful of both your home and your pet’s needs. Schedule I’m currently a college student and attend classes during the mornings. Because I don’t have another job, I have a flexible schedule and am available most afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet’s care. How I Care for Pets As a pet owner myself, I understand that every animal deserves patience, attention, and personalized care. I currently care for dogs, cats, and a rabbit, so I’m familiar with the different needs and routines each species requires. When caring for clients’ pets, I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully because I know every pet has unique preferences and needs. I treat every animal with the same care and respect I give my own, and I make it a priority to keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.
“Kelly was so amazing!! She was very communicative and made sure to send me lots of pictures. I am pretty sure she even vacuumed which I was not expecting but so grateful. I would absolutely book with her again and plan on doing!”

“Rhonda did a fantastic job while sitting for me. Sending updates and photos regularly. She is a pleasure to deal with, friendly and courteous and is always quick to respond. I plan on using her again.”

“Ashley is an impressive young lady; surely over qualified to be Presley's dog whisperer. It was wonderful to leave Presley in good hands and enjoy the night out. It seemed to be the calmest Presley has ever been when being left behind - we will certainly look forward to having Ashley back in our home.”
“Danny was amazing! I could not recommend him enough! I was nervous leaving my two dogs- with one being an older dog and puppy who is not potty trained. He helped so much in helping potty training him and was very communicative throughout the stay. He sent updates and photos (which is always reassuring). He left me follow up notes on how to continue potty training when I came back and was just so helpful! He was very professional and so helpful. I will definitely be rebooking with him and I highly recommend to anyone needing a sitter!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 376 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dixon Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dixon Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dixon Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dixon Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
