“Bri took wonderful care of our cats and garden while we were away for the weekend, and it was reassuring to know they were in such good hands. She fed them, played, and gave medicine which was so crucial. Thank you so much!”

“Gianna is incredibly responsive, reliable, and took wonderful care of my senior dog. I would absolutely book Gianna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“Rachel was awesome! She watched our cats for a last minute weekend vacation. She was fast to respond, and took good care of them. Would absolutely recommend her as a sitter!”

“Christie was great. I contacted her last minute to watch Hunter and she replied quickly confirming. She sent us pictures of Hunter when she visited our house and kept us updated on how the visit went. I would highly recommend Christie and she has a repeat client when we travel again. Thank You Christie!!”
“Christine was a total vacation saver! We had no family avalable to watch our cats, because most of them were coming on the vacation with us! It was such a relief to meet Christine and know that our two cats, Betty and Shadow, were in exceptionally good hands. Both of them were so happy to see us when we got back! The photos we received each day showed exceedingly happy cats, that very quickly warmed up to Christine! The only hiccup was with the alarm system, but that’s on us. We provided a disarm code, but we could have demonstrated how to disarm and re-arm the system during our meet and greet. We would absolutely rebook with Christine!”

“Rachel was attentive and incredibly friendly and kind to my dog while away. She left detailed information each time she checked in on my dog. Rachel took great care of my pup and I cannot recommend her enough!”

About: 👩🏻🐶About Me & Dogs I grew up around dogs. My family has always had dogs around ever since I was born. When I was in middle school I finally have dogs of my own. I've been around dogs for around 18-20 years. 🙋🏻♀️Why Should You Hire Me I'm a great caretaker, I follow instructions very well and I'm also observant. I have a high standard when it comes to cleaning, I aim to provide the best environment any dogs could be living in. I'm definitely not afraid of getting my hands dirty. 🐾My Experience I have taken care of very young puppies. I also have taken care of dogs that are in need of extra care. Most of my dogs are almost senior now, the eldest being a 13 yo pomeranian. ❤️ I have completed American Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid Online. I'm also 100% insured as a pet sitter & dog walker. As a dog owner for years I have come to believe that the best care for dogs don't have to be expensive. People of all background and range of income should not be afraid to adopt a dog and receive unconditional loves from them. ❤️ I'm currently working remote and I have a flexible schedule. I can do visits, overnight sitting, walks, at any time during the day (or night). Weekend and holidays included. Unfortunately I live in an apartment and I could not take pets into my place. But I am willing to do overnight shift at your home.
“Makinzie was amazing!! She was able to help us last minute which was extremely helpful. She sent lots of photos and her communication was great. She even went out of her way to clean up after our dogs and bring a package in for us. Definitely will be using her again!”

“You can feel completely at ease leaving your pets with Jordynn. She is punctual, thorough, friendly and can get your most difficult pet to take their meds! I highly recommend her!”

“Victoria watched our cat Theo while we were on vacation and he was very well taken care of! Lots of pictures provided every day and she even stayed extra long some days to give him extra attention”

“Richard was amazing with my dog Julio I didn’t have to worry about anything with him or the dog, he was on time very polite and respectful. He took amazing care of my baby and I will definitely be booking him more often”

“Maxi is incredibly kind, responsive and loving. It feels like Nola has become an extension of their family. She even whimpers with excitement when we pull up for her to stay with Mazi! Recommended whole-heartedly from a dog obsessed owner.”

About: Ever since becoming a new mom, I’ve had the privilege of spending my days at home doing what I truly love—caring for dogs. Providing a safe, loving, home-like environment for every pup has become part of my everyday life. I treat each dog like family, making sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection so they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I’m home often and already caring for my own dogs. My schedule allows me to provide consistent attention, timely feedings, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection throughout the day. I enjoy maintaining routines, keeping pets comfortable, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for at all times. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and medication if needed. In my home, pets receive a safe, calm, and loving environment with plenty of attention. In a client’s home, I respect their space while ensuring pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for, just like they would with their own family.
“Sofia did a great job for a whole week with our dog and cat. She came to our house and took care of them 3x a day for a reasonable price and followed all the instructions we gave her perfectly. Highly recommended!”

“Lindsay is the best! She absolutely loves my babies and they love her too! She is always quick to message me if anything seems abnormal with one of them and leaves extremely detailed Rover Cards. I know it’s hard to leave your babies with just anyone but I trust Lindsay completely!”
“Julia deserves so many gold stars! She cared for our senior dog, Jaxon. He takes some time to warm up and Julia was so patient, loving and caring. She followed all of our instructions and was on time for each of the visits...even the 6:30am visits :) Will definitely use her services in the future!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Devault. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
