“Astrid did amazing with my pups from the day she met them all the way through my vacation. One of my dogs is skittish and the other has anxiety. She communicated thoroughly with each visit. I look forward to booking with Astrid again?”

“Charlie was a life saver! Our sweet boy was anxious here on his first long distance vacation from TX. Charlie was available last minute while mom and dad had a day out. She communicated well and sent several pictures of Toasty having fun. This was our first time using Rover and we were very please. Everything went smooth and when we returned home, our pup was happy and relaxed.”

About: I am an animal lover at heart. I have worked with many animals my whole life and want to continue to do so for as long as I can. All furry friends make me happy and I couldn’t imagine my day without them. Professionally I have taken care of pets since I was about 12 years old for neighbors and friends. My last long term job was with a pet care company (Ashley’s Pawsitive Pet Care) in New Mexico for a year, and it was lovely seeing how all of them grew! I have taken care of many furry friends and given lots of daily walks to all breeds of dogs. I have also had many overnight stays with cats, dogs, and tons of other pets. I am able to deal with all kinds of issues, situations, and medications after working with all of my previous clients. The only reason I had to leave was because I moved back here to Florida, and I miss all of my pups, daily. Non-professionally I have volunteered at many shelters, I have taken in strays, I have found dogs and cats homes, and scooped up so many lost pets throughout the Bluewater and Niceville area! I have watched countless vet shows, documentaries on animals, and talked to many people that work in the veterinary field to get info I never knew and be educated. I have lots of time to take care of your furry friends. I am available all day Mon-Sat for daily walks and drop in visits, including staying overnight if needed! (Unavailable 7/9-7/13) I make sure to be as careful as possible when inside a clients home. Like I said, I worked for a pet care company for a year in New Mexico and went inside many homes every day. I make sure to clean up any messes I see from pets, and go in and out as quickly as possible to not disturb anything. My clients privacy and happiness with my care is very important to me.

About: Hi, I’m Claire! I’ve been caring for dogs for years and truly see them as family. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch, or just offering a cozy spot to nap, I understand how important it is for your pup to feel safe, loved, and understood while you’re away. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I’m especially comfortable with puppies who need a little extra patience, care and training. Your dog’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities, and I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’d be honored to be your dog’s new friend! Live “on post”? As a milspouse, I have access to base housing at Eglin, Hurlburt, and Duke Field. I have years of experience with freshwater aquariums and small birds also! If you have reptiles, I am comfortable handling and feeding but may need some guidance with their other needs! I’m a stay-at-home mom with three kids, and we’ve been living in the Destin area for just over a year—loving every minute of the beach life! Because we currently rent our home, I’m only offering dog walking and drop-in visits at your home. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, as I have a flexible schedule and truly enjoy getting out for walks, giving pets some extra love and attention, and helping families feel at ease while they’re away. Whether it’s a midday walk or a morning visit, I’m happy to work with your pet’s schedule and needs. I currently care for pets in their own homes through drop-in visits and walks. When I’m visiting a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect and care I would want in my own. I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment—whether that means sticking closely to their feeding and potty routines, spending time playing and snuggling, or just offering calm companionship. I always aim to keep your pets relaxed and happy while you’re away, and I’m happy to send photo updates so you feel at ease too. Need the mail collected? Lamps on a schedule? I know leaving your home can cause worry, I’m happy to help ease your anxiety by doing small tasks around the home to ensure you come home to a happy pet and a safe environment.

“If you need someone who is reliable and dependable, Katherine is your Rover go to. She really helped me out in a pinch and on short notice. She took complete care of my girl Ruby while away with great communication and daily pics. I will definitely use her again. Thank you so much Katherine.”

“Melanie dropped by our home to check on our two kittens. She always sent updates and pictures. She communicated very well and was super trustworthy! We’ll definitely have her watch our cats again 😊”

About: I’ve loved pets for as long as I remember. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was four, ranging from small chihuahuas to large Saint Bernards. I’m currently taking care of two younger dogs and one senior dog. I’m a recent high school graduate with a flexible schedule available both weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate morning, lunch, and dinner needs for your pet. I have experience with watching several pets from puppies to pets who have special needs at my own home. Daily pet care for me includes feeding, walking, grooming, and playtime.

About: I have been around animals my whole life and currently have one dog, three cats (one senior with chronic illnesses/daily meds), four hermit crabs, one ball python, and 10 quail. In the past, I have cared for fish, snails, horses, rabbits, ferrets, a tarantula, and a variety of birds. I am open to watching animals of all kinds! I am able to provide drop in care any time on the weekends and morning/lunchtime/evening during the work week. I am also able to provide dog boarding in my home. I work Monday-Friday but my office is in the same neighborhood as my house - and is pet friendly! For drop in care, my goal is to provide care that keeps to the pets' regular schedule as much as possible in order to ensure they feel safe and cared for. I am able to medicate cats and dogs. For in home care, I am able to accommodate up to 2 dogs from the same household. I have a large, pet friendly house and fenced back yard. All boarding dogs must be cat friendly and good with other dogs.

About: I'm a very experienced animal person (large and small) with a Level 3 certification in ‘Canine Learning, Motivation and Reinforcement’ via the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and Dog/Cat CPR certified with the American Red Cross. I'm a professional, force-free trainer and I've volunteered with many dog and wildlife rescue charities. Walks and care take into account individual needs and I always monitor for inclement weather or excessive heat. Indoor games and enrichment can take place instead of walking and provide a bunch of physical and mental health benefits for your dog if they cannot go outside. Health and safety is a priority and I always follow your exact instructions. I can provide casual services or a more regular schedule. I don't have pets or children at home so my schedule is flexible and I'm happy to work in with your plans. I have a robust understanding of dog body language and wellbeing to ensure their experiences are positive and productive. Puppies and adolescents are a specialty. Veterinary care and special diets will be followed exactly.

About: I am new to tending to pets officially, but as a lovable dog dad of 7 years and counting I have always watched friends dogs, taken them on walks, popped in for things as little and quick as letting them potty and just get some good stretches in! I work mornings as a barista, so, I get to have my afternoons and evenings devoting to being with other fur babies. I’d initially like my girl Delilah to have friends to play with and vice-versa!! One on one time with pets is vital in more ways than one. Making sure they are getting attention keeps them happy. I’ve recommended to friends in the past to invest in a tracking collar. This allows tracking 24/7 and certain collars have GPS so you can see the route your fur baby and I would be taking every time we go for strolls!

About: Dogs have always been my passion. I personally have 4yo Cockapoos and have taken care of my neighbors dogs. I am happy to help you with your dogs’ needs whether it be taking them outside, feeding, walking, playing, bathing- or being a loving companion while you are gone from your home! I am a student and can spend time with your dog before/after school and in the evening! My weekends are free so I can spend more time with them on Saturday/Sundays. I like to start by getting to know your dog, providing fun activities for them to get to know me- like playing fetch or taking them on a walk.

About: Looking for a loving and experienced home for your dog while you're away? I’m a former Search and Rescue K9 handler with a wealth of knowledge in dog behavior and training. Now, as a (2-legged) Physician Assistant, I have the added benefit of being able to safely administer medication to your pup or kitty if needed. My household is dog-friendly, with a toddler, so I’m looking for dogs or cats that are comfortable around little ones. Your dog will be treated like family in a safe, comfortable environment. What I offer: Personalized care for your dog's specific needs Medication administration if necessary Safe and loving environment Experience with all breeds and temperaments Attention to detail with daily routines and playtime Let me give your dog the care they deserve while you're away! My schedule is currently flexible and I will tend to your fur baby as needed. With a little advanced planning, I can accommodate most schedules anytime. I live on a fresh water lake that is fenced on all sides (8 ft privacy, 3ft along the water and 4ft on the other 2 sides).

“I would give 10 stars if I could! We could not have gotten more lucky with having Joanna and Ed this week while on vacation. Someone else we reached out to was going to be out of town and referred us to them. They are the sweetest couple and loved our sweet Ollie like their own. If you’re looking for the best Joanna is it! Thanks again for everything this week!!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and will do my best to show your dog a good time. Money spent here will be spent on treats, hats and sunglasses for dogs. I am doing this because I love dogs and can’t have one of my one yet. I work 14 days on and 14 days off transporting oil and gas workers to and from the platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. This schedule keeps me from having a dog of my own but I always enjoy the company of dogs. This schedule also give me the free time to have awesome adventures with my friend’s pets on ocasión and hopefully your pet as well. I live in an apartment here in destin that is walking distance to a dog park on Indian Bayou. I will not except an offer unless I can accommodate the need of the dog specified by it’s human.

“I booked with Nicole last minute because of a flight delay and she came through! I highly recommend her - she spent the full time with my pups during potty breaks and kept me updated. I will use her again in the future!”

Di C.
“I know Di from her work in a dog training facility where she is a trainer. I will say her dedication to every pup that comes through the doors is immeasurable. She has a genuine care for the well being of every dog that I have seen her interact with. I trust her with my dogs and highly recommend her for dog walking and pet sitting.”

Dillon C.
“Dillon is great with dogs! He has a beautiful girl of his own who is extremely well-trained. He knows how to implement schedules and get dogs to stick to them! Julie A.
“I’ve known Julie for 25 years, and I can honestly say there’s no one more perfect to care for your pet. She’s had dogs her entire life and treats every animal she meets like family. From Dachshunds to Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Julie ensures their health, happiness, and well-being are always a top priority. She even trained two Rhodesian Ridgebacks to become skilled Search and Rescue dogs, who’ve been called out in the middle of the night to help locate missing people in the mountains of New Mexico. That’s the level of dedication and care she brings to everything she does. When I got my first puppy—a Lab/Boxer mix—Julie guided me through everything from potty training to leash manners. Now, years later, I still turn to her for advice with my senior Mastiff mix, Zeus. And when I was deployed for six months, she welcomed Zeus into her home, understanding his unique needs and treating him like her own. Julie’s patience, love, and natural connection with animals make her an exceptional pet sitter and dog walker. You can truly trust her with your furry family member—they’ll be in the very best hands!”
