About: Hello! I’ve owned dogs my whole life and currently have 2 of my own, a 3 year old hound, and a 9 year old lab. So I can handle your high energy playful pup, or your laid back senior dogs! I have my own small business that’s unrelated to animals but I tend to have lots of down/free time so I plan to use this as my secondary job rather than finding a part time job! I currently have my own small business that’s unrelated to animals. Work fluctuates a lot for my business. For the most part I can make most days work during the week and I can work around your schedule! I have 2 of my own dogs currently (very sweet) and a big 1 Acre fenced field to play in! Plenty of room to run around and play, and plenty of toys!

About: When I was little and people asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said 'dog walker' — and now I finally get to live that dream! This summer I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I have experience with both small and large dogs, as well as cats, and I treat every animal like my own. This summer I'm home in Olympia taking a college course, so my days are flexible and my focus is simple — hitting the books and spoiling some fur babies! I have plenty of time and am committed to giving your pet consistent, reliable care My home comes with a large fenced yard — plenty of room for your pup to run wild, explore, and have the time of their life!

I highly reccomend Brett!  I got very sick and was in a pretty desperate situation with my newly rescued, very large pitt mix.  I contacted Brett and he got in touch with me right away.  He came at the drop of a hat a few days when Ash really need a walk.  He even came from farther than he routinely helps people.  Very reliable, punctual and kind.  Was easily able to handle my 85 lb pitt mix.  (With bad manners...lol)  I'm very grateful for the help he gave me.  Give him a call!

About: I've been surrounded by animals my entire life and have over 12 years of experience living on a farm, caring for pigs, cows, chickens, dogs, and cats. While I love all animals, dogs and cats have always held a special place in my heart. Friends and family know me as someone animals naturally gravitate toward. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or a senior who needs extra patience and gentle care, I take the time to earn their trust and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I'm dependable, responsible, and understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring hands while you're away. I'll follow your routines, provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and caring for them as if they were my own! I currently have a flexible schedule and spend my time between Olympia and Mukilteo. I generally work remotely, so I am available to house sit during the week or a mid day walk or check in on a break! My aim will always be to keep to your fur baby's schedule regarding walks, potty breaks and feeding. I'll provide plenty of cuddles and love when they are missing you.

About: I have trained my own heeler puppy since she was 10 weeks old. As well as helped raise another cattle dog until he was 8yo and have cared for and loved many different animals over the years I'm working part time and make up my own schedule. So I will usually have plenty of time for giving animals lots of attention and love. I have my own very sweet 2yo heeler that has been friendly with all dogs. And a sizeable backyard for supervised playtime. I value patience and calmness making the most out of positive reinforcement to promote good behavior.

About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring pet lover who treats every animal like family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping your pet company, I’m patient, attentive, and always tuned into their needs. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs to ensure they feel secure and cared for. About: I grew up with both dogs and cats on a farm, so I have lots of experience with animals of varying ages and needs. I am consistent with medications and have experience caring for senior or ailing animals. I have a pretty free schedule, especially when it comes to house sitting! I work remotely so I can take my work wherever I go! When it comes to walking or checking in though I am a bit more stingy due to my work hours. I do not offer at-home services due to other pets in the home, however I have experience with house sitting for families with dogs and/or cats. I will give your pet all the love and attention they wish for, but I also know when to give them space. I am also used to working with high-maintenance pets. I know all the good spots for a walk and my car is large enough to fit most animals, so I can take them for vet visits or to a park.

Lauren was wonderful with our dog Millie. We had her come a couple times a week prior to our trip to get to know Millie and it worked out great. Lauren communicated very well. She was on time for every walk and followed instructions as there were a couple changes along the way. Gave daily reports and pics which helped. Thank you Lauren for being so great with our fur baby

About: My Mom and I have a Multipoo, we adopted her last year and I just love her! I'm a proud Auntie to Gator (German Shepherd.) I've been a dog-lover since I was a child, I had a toy poodle for 17 years who passed away peacefully back in 2013. I have experience walking, playing, bathing, loving, and administering medication to dogs with special needs or at advanced age. I have experience caring for a well-fed chocolate lab while house sitting for a family friend for up to a week at a time, as well as a one year old mastif who had a special diet and needed his jowls wiped. I have also cared for my sister's rescue boston terrier who has experienced trauma. I'm a gentle person with a calm demeanour who loves to take pups for walks, and can command with a firm tone if needed. I can drop by most evenings and weekends, sometimes do overnight care if available. Currently I am going to grad school and I have a part-time work schedule. I would prefer to only provide care for your animals in your home, I will always do my best to make it a safe environment and situation for all. I'm in grad school, have an internship, and also work in the schools. Looking for a part-time flexible work only. Please contact with at least a week's notice, cannot due last minute gigs! I can't have other animals in my home and would not bring my dog to your place. However I take care of the spaces I am in and treat them with respect.

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
