About: Some of my earliest memories were fur baby family members. I lived in households with black and brown lab's, Shar Pei's, Yorkie's, Chihuahua, and multiple cats. At 5 years old I wanted a cat so bad that I hid one in the car. My mom noticed the cat on the drive home. After discussing it with the original owner it was discovered that he did need a new home and that is how Smokie joined the household. At 8 years old, I got permission for my second cat Speckles. I was allowed to help bottle feed him before he was able to come home with me. He lived to the age of 19. My schedule is very open and flexible, I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies. Wednesday mornings I go visit my grandma, I am free during the afternoon after visiting her. I will be caring for your pets in your home. I'm available for drop in care, check-in's, pet sitting, house sitting, and overnight care. I do have mobility limitations, I walk with the assistance of a cane and therefore am unable to offer pet walking services at this time. I have a service animal, my small dog Leroy. He gets along very well with cats and dogs of all sizes.

About: I grew up loving and caring for animals. I had dogs, cats, and even parrots growing up. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR and have experience pet sitting for various friends and family. I used to volunteer with the Humane Society where I walked dogs and helped work play groups which helped the dogs gain social skills and helped them to get adopted. I currently volunteer with a statewide animal rescue organization doing technical animal rescues which include rescuing dogs, cats, birds, horses, and, on occasion, certain exotic animals. Our most common rescues include dogs that fall down cliffs and horses that are cast in their stalls and can't get up or are otherwise stuck and require assistance getting back up. I love getting to work with all sorts of animals and have learned a lot from the other volunteers which include EMTs, Firefighters, and Veterinarians. I work remotely from home so my schedule is very flexible and I'll have plenty of time to look after your beloved pets! I can easily stop by and check on them at your home as often as you'd like. I also love being outside so going on multiple walks a day would be a joy for me. I have years of experience with dogs and I also had cats growing up too. “My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her. Since then Nai’a has stayed over at Caitlin’s a few times and once Caitlin watched her at our house. One of the biggest challenges with Nai’a is that she runs away from her sitters. About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life. I have a genuine love for being near animals and taking care of them because they brighten my day. I am currently in college I want to try to make pet sitting a part time job so I can save up for my future. The apartment comples I live in has a dog park where a lot of dogs go and have fun, if there is any type of schedule by the owner/owners I would follow it. I usually try to relax on my free time, reading books and enjoying art, my hobbies give me time to take care of and play with the animals that I care for. And I felt my pup was secure during her daily visits at Darbys home, with walks and suitable interaction with other pups at her home, I had no complaints. My pup was fed her meals as requested and Darby went the extent to clean the containers I brougjt homemade meals in for feeding, so I hadnt needed to worry about that after a long day! I began by walking dogs at a local humane society, then on to becoming a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. I absolutely love dog sitting and I have the skills to administer medications. About: I grew up with both dogs and cats on a farm, so I have lots of experience with animals of varying ages and needs. I am consistent with medications and have experience caring for senior or ailing animals. I have a pretty free schedule save for Mondays and Tuesdays, in which I will be in Puyallup for a job! About: Animal lover here! I take very good care of dogs of all kinds as demonstrated by my volunteer and pet sitting experience. I have volunteered at shelters with scared dogs large and small, fostered and trained shelter puppies, was a babysitter for puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and served client families as a professional pet sitter. My role for others' fur babies is to provide care so that they have their needs met in their parents' absence. I am a great surrogate parent! About: My Mom and I have a Multipoo, we adopted her last year and I just love her! I'm a proud Auntie to Gator (German Shepherd.) I've been a dog-lover since I was a child, I had a toy poodle for 17 years who passed away peacefully back in 2013. I have experience walking, playing, bathing, loving, and administering medication to dogs with special needs or at advanced age. I have experience caring for a well-fed chocolate lab while house sitting for a family friend for up to a week at a time, as well as a one year old mastif who had a special diet and needed his jowls wiped. I have also cared for my sister's rescue boston terrier who has experienced trauma. I'm a gentle person with a calm demeanour who loves to take pups for walks, and can command with a firm tone if needed. I can drop by most evenings and weekends, sometimes do overnight care if available. Currently I am going to grad school and I have a part-time work schedule. I would prefer to only provide care for your animals in your home, I will always do my best to make it a safe environment and situation for all. I'm in grad school, have an internship, and also work in the schools. Looking for a part-time flexible work only. Please contact with at least a week's notice, cannot due last minute gigs! About: I love dogs, I've always had a dog. My kids love dogs. I am willing to work with you on when and where my services are needed. I'm available at all times during the day, I work graveyard at my regular job. For dog boarding, my husband is here at night while I'm at work but I only work two nights a week so it's rare that I'm not here. I would love to spend some time with your pup and will take care of it as if it were my own. I have experience with dogs as little as Pomeranians and as large as Alaskan Malamutes, from brand new puppies to senior dogs. I have owned as many as six dogs as one time.
