“We felt very comfortable with having Kate dog-sitting our little Simba in an our home during our trip abroad. She took great care of our boy and kept us well-informed about Simba with pictures and texts. We were easily able to reach her by phone to communicate about any home related or Simba related issues while we were away. She seemed mature, responsible, intelligent, and loving toward our boy. She took in our mail while we were away and we came back to a clean and well kept-up home as well as a dog who seemed quite content with the companionship he received from Kate.”

About: I grew up with all kinds of dogs and have raised several large breed dogs myself. It currently isn’t the right time for me to welcome a new dog into my life full time but I miss having the company. I’m currently working from home so I have lots of flexibility for cuddles, walks and potty breaks. I’m also a runner and happy to take any high energy dogs out for a tour. I do not have a backyard but am close to parks where we can walk. I have space for a dog bed or crate if needed. My neighborhood is dog friendly.
About: I have grown up around horses, so any sized dog is not an issue. I've owned and had 3 dogs (wired fox terrier, miniature poodle, sheepadoodle) since I was a teenager. I've dog-sat for neighbors, friends and family throughout the years. In May 2019 I rescued a border collie/aussie shepherd from Virginia. His name is Brody. He is dog neutral/indifferent as he's getting older. We relocated from the East Coast in January 2025. So relatively new-ish to CO and still exploring all this state has to offer! I work from home full-time so there are plenty of potty and playtime opportunities in between meetings. I live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood with lots of walking opportunities. Brody is an excellent host and will share toys and treats with any of his guests! I look forward to hosting or taking care of your fur baby, just like it was my own! I work from home full-time and on EST hours so there are plenty of potty and playtime opportunities in between meetings. We go outside when I need to step away from the computer / stretch my legs. I have the ability to separate the dogs in the house if need be (baby gates, lots of doors to different rooms/areas, upstairs vs downstairs etc).

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have cared for large breeds since I was 8 years old. My love for animals started at a young age and has only grown over the years. I have experience feeding, walking, exercising, and providing daily care for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to look after their pets because they know I treat every dog like my own. Whether your dog needs an active walk, playtime, companionship, or extra attention, I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to give every pet the same love, patience, and attention I would want for my own. i’m currently working part-time so I’ll have plenty of time to play and care for your pups on weekdays and weekends! my schedule varies by the week but is very flexible. The safety, comfort, and happiness of every pet are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and needs so they feel safe and comfortable while in my care. With years of experience caring for large dogs, I provide reliable supervision, exercise, attention, and follow all owner instructions closely. I treat every pet like family and make sure they receive the care and love they deserve.
“Tori was fanatastic! Very prompt communication and completely dependable. Sent pictures and updates of our dog so we knew he was enjoying himself and being kept on his usual routine. We felt very confident leaving our lab and home in her hands. Will recommend and use again!”

“We am beyond thrilled to have found India as a pet sitter for our 11 year old pup! It was a bit of a last minute booking, but India was nothing short of spectacular! Aside from daily updates and photos, she made sure to give our girl a little extra TLC. Our pup currently has an issue with her leg, and India made sure she was safe and comfortable the whole time we were gone! We’re both high anxiety parents (with an equally anxious dog), and not once did we feel any worry about being out of town! Also - India left our apartment *cleaner* than we left it! It was wonderful coming home to a tidy place and a happy pup! Our dog was happy to see us upon return; but she kept looking at the door for someone else to walk in - and we know who that was! I can’t recommend India enough! 10/10 - no, scratch that - 100/10! Best pet sitter in Denver, hands down!!”

“Blyth made my trip out of town a dream come true for my dog and me! The meet and greet was great and allowed time to check out the property and get a feel for my dog’s behaviors and needs, and Blyth was super respectful of my home and Dulce’s schedule. She also has great experience and great energy with dogs. Blyth sent great photos and updates as well, which really was excellent for peace of mind while I was in an out of cell coverage. Would love to work with Blyth again!”

“Thanks so much to Mitch for helping us out while we had to leave the country unexpectedly. We really appreciated his flexibility, especially when we had to coordinate a mobile vet visit at our home. Thank you again!”
“Garrett took wonderful care of our dogs, we will definitely use home again. Garrett was prompt and communicated well when we met to discuss our dogs. We have two boxers, one with more challenges than most. Garrett was very calm when meeting our dogs and slowly win over our more anxious dog. He sent picture and video updates from walks and throughout the day.”

About: Hi, we’re Tatiana and Svetlana. 🐾 Our family includes our daughter, June Rose, and our dog, Paloma. Dogs have always been part of our lives, and our home just wouldn’t feel complete without them. We know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else, so our goal is simple: to make them feel loved, comfortable, and safe while you’re away. Whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just a quiet place to relax, we’ll care for your dog the way we would want someone to care for our own. We have a fenced yard, a park nearby, and plenty of time for attention and companionship. To us, dogs are family. ❤️ And when your dog stays with us, they’ll be treated like part of ours. 🐶🏡💕 My wife works from home, so there is usually someone home throughout the day. At all times, dogs will have plenty of attention, care, and company. We provide daily walks, a fenced yard for regular potty breaks, and snacks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. We also believe in keeping owners updated, so we’ll send regular photo and video updates to help you feel connected and at ease while your dog is with us. We want every dog to feel comfortable, safe, and at home in our care. We care for every dog in our home with patience, attention, and genuine love. Our home is clean, calm, and dog-friendly, with a fenced yard for regular potty breaks and playtime, plus daily walks, affection, and supervision throughout the day. We follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication, routines, and any special needs, and we take the time to help each dog feel comfortable and settle in at their own pace. Safety and trust are very important to us, so we treat every dog with the same care we would want for our own, and we send regular photo and video updates so you can feel reassured while your dog is with us.
“Jennifer was great! She communicated regularly throughout our stay, took wonderful care of our dog and even better care of the house! She washed all the sheets, cleaned our kitchen area and even shoveled snow from the walkway and backyard. Would highly recommend.”

“Julie was amazing! She took great care of our dog and our house. I think our dog was probably spoiled with more walks than usual and extra attention. We would highly recommend Julie.”

“She was awesome and my girls loved her! She also cleaned up which was so unnecessary but I’m so grateful and it definitely shows she cares. The most important thing to me was just keeping my girls out of trouble and not destroying things like they love to do when left alone and she truly exceeded my expectations!! THANK YOU”

“Jan did an excellent job watching my two anxious dogs for a week and house sitting. I really appreciated her daily updates and knowing she was able to spend a lot of time with them. I would recommend Jan!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Deer Trail
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 263 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Deer Trail. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Deer Trail walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Deer Trail maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Deer Trail choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
