About: I'm Dawn, owner of Shambala Dog LLC in Elizabeth CO. I board dogs from my home, where they experience the closest thing to home as they can get! I have a climbing gym in a training center, with a small kiddie pool where they can splash all they want. Dogs have access to play areas most of the day. Crates are used for sleeping at night, and for naps during the day. Day care dogs have enrichment activities, snack and nap times to keep them balanced and not overstimulated. With 28 years of experience as a former vet tech and a dog trainer, your dog is in the best of hands! Spaces are limited! Book ahead! This is a full-time dog training facility. I am here 24/7. I live onsite and the dogs.all sleep in the house with me. They rotate in and out all day long until approximately 10 PM each night, if they are boarding all night. If you'd like your dog trained during their stay, we can discuss this on top of boarding. A full week of boarding and training is $750, for example. Dogs are supervised when out of their crates, have access to the sofa, indoor play area that is cool and breezy, open to fresh air all day, and may come inside to nap on one of the many dog beds provided. The house is divided into many separate play areas, so if they don't want to be social, they don't have to.

Amalia G.
“Amalia was absolutely amazing with my fur baby Sloan. She was very responsive and sent multiple pictures throughout the trip. She took him on little trips and to the park. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for great care for their fur baby.”

Dawn G.
“Dawn is literally the Dog Whisperer. She helped me train my 85 lb 1 year old male Doberman, Thunder, who was out of control, (racing around the house, jumping over couches, knocking things down), and who also needed basic obedience and leash training. She suggested helpful tools to stimulate and keep him busy so he wasn't always hyper, as well as tools to help with leash training, and obedience. Then she worked with me to teach me how to implement the tools and work with him. She also reminded me to keep him quiet after eating, rather than letting him immediately go outside and race around, which puts big dogs at risk for bloat -- always serious and can lead to death. Today Thunder is a 3 1/2 year old Dobie teenager who sits, remote stays, comes, and is leashed-trained. He has amazed our neighbors who met him when we first rescued him! And Thunder and I can't wait to take a road trip and meet Dawn in person -- and learn more too!”
