About: I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently unemployed and have most days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any clients schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

John was great with our girls! We needed a walker for the days our family was going to amusement parks for family vacation. Having husky's, I am very anxious as to who handles them due to their behaviors. They are not bad but can be difficult and escape artists! John came for the meet and greet with pen and paper in hand and questions ready to go. I left a note of reminders, for my mental security, and John left a summary of how each walk went. I will definitely look for him next year when it's family vacation time again. Thanks again John!!

Courtney is fantastic with our high energy dog. She takes her on a nice long walk and makes sure to give her plenty of time to sniff as she goes. Our dog is noticeably better behaved in the evenings when Courtney has taken her. It’s obvious she gets great exercise and mental stimulation on those days. I recommend Courtney wholeheartedly!

About: I've been around animals my whole life. From the littlest of fish, to the largest of cows and other farm animals! I have 3 dogs of my own, two Colorado mountain dogs and a medium pittie mix. I also have 4 geckoes (2 leopards, a giant Madagascar day gecko, and my newest boy, a harlequin crested gecko!). I've dog-sat little dogs, big dogs, disabled and elderly dogs, as well as young pups and households with multiple animals! I will give you the best care, whether it be for your pets, home, or more! Right now I work part-time at a bakery on Sundays, and I am also a full-time college student! Thankfully, my schedule is very flexible and my attention will solely be on your furry friends. I always make sure to keep my client's homes clean and organized, and pay special attention to any extra tasks I'm giving, such as watering plants (I have dozens of plant babies!), changing the temperature, emptying dehumidifiers, and retrieving packages. Anything you need, I will do to the best of my abilities! I like to update my clients daily on their pets to ease their mind.

About: I am a lover of all animals and will treat yours like my own. I was a Dog Trainer at Petsmart for 3 years. I have two dogs, two horses, and a cat of my own. We live on a farm that opens up to the woods so we love to exercise and we also love to hit the trails at Solider's Delight or the Westminster pond. All sizes and breeds are welcome. If they need special care or medication, I am also able to assist with that. If there's any other pets in the house, I am knowledgeable with most. You’re welcome to call and check in at any time, and you’ll receive text or email updates daily. I hope you will consider me in your search to find someone to care for your pet family. I work full time, but happy to help your family out with the furry, feathery, or scaling member of the family just like my own. Just like my own! I try to stay as organized as possible, so a list to go off of is preferred! I'm happy to spend time caring for your pet.

About: I’ve always helped out neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family friends with their pets. My simple pleasure is taking dogs on long walks and being outside. I’m currently working part time so I’ll be free for walks and playing with your animals very often. I’m easy to schedule if you need mornings, afternoons, or both! I take dogs on long long walks (at least a mile) I can of course do less if your dog isn’t up to the challenge. I love to play after a walk as well.

About: From house sitting and petting sitting for neighbors when I was young, to fostering pets for the past 5 years, and caring for friends pets when they go away, I have always enjoyed meeting new dogs & cats and caring for them, feeding them or administering medications, playing with & walking them, or just sitting & talking with them, even bathing them! I have a calm and friendly personality that animals gravitate to. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. My kids are 17 & 18 so they drive themselves around. I can help on weekends, overnights, weekdays, nearly any time, as well as on short notice. I would offer my own home as well but I have a cat and a dog so sometimes the guest pets don't get along with other animals. In your home I can sit with them and talk to them if they're a lazy pet, or take your pup for a walk or running if they're high energy. I could also take him or her for car rides to get a pup cup at Starbucks or to my large fenced in backyard to run around. I live off Sunshine Way in Westminster near the Wal-mart.

About: Simply put, I truly LOVE animals. I have always enjoyed spending time with, and playing with pets of all kinds. I will put your pets' needs above my own. I'm currently working full time, but I am usually home when not at work. I live 5 minutes away from my job, so I will always be available for your fur babies even while working if I need to be. I care for pets the same way I would care for a baby. Their needs are always more important than mine, and I will always make time for them. They also get plenty of attention and play time! Please note: I will have to crate them while at work. This is the ONLY time they will be crated. I will also be home around 1:30 for lunch to take your pet out for a potty break.

About: I am an emergency nurse 2 days a week and a mom to 2 crazy girls full time. My availability on the weekends can vary because of my nursing job. I’m available early mornings and late evenings if needed, and I have Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8-4:30 wide open! I’ve had a dog my entire life and currently have a 7 year old rescue! I absolutely love dogs and any other animals. I’m looking for another way to make money while doing something I love. I will treat all animals as if they are my own. I would love to be your helping hand in taking care of your fur babies! I cannot wait to get to know you and all of your animals. I work 2 days a week and have 2 small children but I would love to spend my free time caring for your fur babies! I have a dog of my own and love spending my time with him. I love long walks or even just dropping in to ensure your loved ones are fed and comfortable! I am very good with all types of dogs no matter the size! I have personal experience with dogs who are food or toy aggressive so those will not bother me. I am comfortable with crating dogs if needed and doing whatever is needed to keep your animals safe

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 2,774 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Deep Run. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Deep Run. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Deep Run.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Deep Run. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
