“Alannah was excellent looking after our 2 dogs and 2 cats over the holiday period. She really cared for the animals and sent regular updates from her time with them. We came home to happy animals and a spotless house! We will absolutely be asking for her help again when we go out of town.”

“I needed to find a last minute sitter for my two senior dogs after an unexpected work trip came up and Deborah was kind enough to help me out right away! She is very friendly and the dogs liked her. It is obvious she has lots of experience with different types of pets. She is responsive to communication and followed my instructions. Thank you!”

About: A large grassy area in front of the house on a cul de sad, several dog beds, dog-friendly neighborhood walks,...ideal for a fun pet overnight stay. I do not currently have my own dog but sometimes may take 2 dogs at one time. I study massage and dog psychology. Dogs who love touch or massages will get plenty of attention. It is a house with a yard, not an apartment. The yard is not completely fenced, so I use a leash 100% of the time until I know the dog very well, since there are sometimes birds and squirrels making appearances. Dogs spend a lot of time outside with me, weather permitting. Your dog will not spend time outside alone because it's just more fun to be together. About this sitter: I raised two Scottish Terrier litter-mates from puppy-hood and have cared for dogs and cats in their homes, dogs in my home for months at a time, and I enjoy walking dogs. I am soft-spoken and very patient. Shy, or sensitive/scared pets often feel comfortable around me pretty quickly. Pets should have joy in their lives so I enjoy giving them extra attention to help alleviate some of the stress when their owners are away. For overnight care at a clients' home, I like to stay as light and self-contained as possible. I'm in this for the love of pets and like to leave as little a footprint as possible! Experience includes: dog owner, cat owner, dog sitting for over 15 different dogs and 4 different cats (up to 6 dogs simultaneously or combo of 2 dogs/2 cats who were housemates). Why I love dog sitting: I made my first dog friend when I was 6 years old. Lalli was a seeing-eye school drop out and the sweetest dog I'd ever met. My aunt already had 2 cats that I loved by that point. I ended up helping a senior dog get past her separation anxiety and she and her folks gained more freedom. About my yard: Large grassy area in front of the house. Dog park nearby with well behaved friendly neighborhood dog regulars. My experience administering oral medication: I have done it and I will do it if a pet is not a biter or scratcher. I cared for 2 dogs during their hospice. I am open to doing that, at least to help provide respite for the primary caretakers. I am free to spend time with your dogs and/or house sit anytime except Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 7pm. Dogs that stay overnight with me will have a day sitter and dog company during the day. I am willing to accept stays longer than one week but we must discuss first to see if my system works for your animals. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a park nearby and a large grassy area. I have an afternoon sunning deck, and plan potty breaks every 2-3 hours. Mini-massages and indoor play breaks are available throughout the day between dog naps.

About: Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Allow me to introduce myself: I'm a (mostly) retired nurse & former farmer, offering a homey stay for your dog. I'm experienced with livestock, birds, all sorts of creatures. Your dog will enjoy the ideal location of my comfy home--its sunny decks, and fenced yard-- nearby to beaches, off-leash Quarry Park, and the recreation and coastal paths. You can enjoy your time away, knowing your pooch is having a great time at my place. I'm at home days & evenings, close by to the critters. Semi retired now, I'm able to dedicate myself to a pet-centric life, to the benefit of all. My home is set up for comfort--making the most of this idyllic coastal environment. Low windows at the front allow the dogs to observe those passing on the street. Two sunny decks connect to my fenced yard, providing a secure, relaxed environment. I am steps from the rec & coastal paths, dog-friendly Quarry Park, the harbor & coastal beaches. Enjoy peace of mind during your time away! Your dog will be a valued guest in my pooch-centric home.

“Shawn did a fantastic job pet sitting our dogs and cats for a week while he stayed at our house. In particular, he was very responsive to the needs of our senior dog who needs extra help. He kept us in the loop and was a marvelous house guest. I’d book him again for my next trip out of town as he is capable, reliable and very good at taking care of our pets. They all warmed up to him in no time! What a treat to travel knowing that all is well at home with Shawn there to ensure it all goes to plan!”

“Owen did a fantastic job with our Golden! Plenty of exercise and attention, easily handled his raw meals and slightly complicated feeding schedule. Our house was in spotless condition when we returned and even the sheets were washed. Our pup was very happy and I highly recommend.”

“Vicky is an extraordinary pet sitter. She provided excellent care for my senior dog for two weeks. He is a wonderful 14-year-old who is loving, smart and active but requires a lot of extra care (i.e. he’s deaf, has poor eyesight and requires daily medication to manage back pain). Her daily updates and photos were perfect. She kept his days active and interesting. I could tell he was happy and well cared for. She is a dream sitter and I whole heartedly recommend her.”
