“Debbie was awesome! Our dogs are a little anxious but they warmed up to Debbie right away and had an awesome time staying with her! They definitely loved the big fenced in yard. Debbie was very responsive and a great communicator. Our dogs can't wait to go back!”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay! She was happy and well-cared for — treated like one of their own dogs. Thank you, Danielle and Jathan, for another great stay! We look forward to working with you again in the future.”

“Ainura was absolutely amazing! I had to find a sitter for my new puppy on very short notice and she responded super fast and accepted the job. It was my first time using the Rover app and I’m so grateful it worked out so well. She took incredible care of little Khaleesi and sent loads of photos showing her playing and having a great time for the week. I’m definitely reaching out to Ainura next time I need a sitter :)”

“Paige, Stephen and family cared for our dog, Duncan, so well! He became part of their family while we were gone and I could tell that Duncan was thriving while with them. He especially loved playing with their kids which helped keep his sense of normalcy compared to our home! Would definitely recommend this family to anyone :)”
“From the moment we met Paula and Thom, I could tell Greta felt comfortable in their presence. She loved the log cabin, the woods, and all the new smells. When I picked Greta up, she seemed right at home and she was VERY the lazy the rest of the day. She obviously has a great time! Can’t wait to use this great couple again!”

“Dawn is fabulous! We added a (very tiny) yorkie rescue to our family, and this was the first time we’ve had to travel without him since we’ve had him. He is very attached to me, and I was worried about leaving him. Dawn was great. He had fun with her other dogs and I got lots of great photos with him snuggling up with his other buddies there. We would definitely recommend her and will use her again. Thank you Dawn!”

About: Hi! I don’t have any dogs currently- I put my last dog down about 1.5 years ago, but have been a dog lover all my life. I have experience with all ages and types of dogs but specialize in senior & reactive dogs. I do work full time- four days a week. I am off on Wednesdays and off on weekends. If I’m watching your pup, I’ll go home straight from work to get them out for a walk! I provide a loving, safe, and comfortable home for your pets while you’re away! I love taking dogs on walks and, when appropriate, car rides for a little extra adventure. I’ll treat your pets like family, giving them plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and care. My goal is to make your pets feel happy, comfortable, and right at home while giving you peace of mind!
“Susan took our pup in super last minute and was very accommodating! We don’t know what we would have done without her help! She was incredibly quick to respond and gave us updates throughout. We highly recommend her and will be using her services again!”

“Meghan did a wonderful job with my senior dog. I was nervous to leave her, because I don't do it much, but I definitely felt better knowing she was in Meghan's care. She's very thorough in gathering information to ensure your pup has the best, most comfortable time. I'll definitely be asking her again.”

“Dariana was an excellent sitter for Luna. She was responsive, flexible, and provided regular updates. Luna very clearly was happy and comfortable during her stay. I would 100% recommend her! 😊”

“Maisie had a great time at Katie’s. Katie’s house and yard are well set up to entertain dogs and they even brought out the kiddy pool when it was super hot. Maisie stayed for 3 nights and Katie sent pictures daily so we could see how much fun she had.”

“Our dog had a great stay with Allison and family. He was well cared for and we got lots of status update pics. This was our first visit and we will be return customers when the next need comes up.”

“We love Erin and her family! They treat our girl like she’s a member of their family, with all sorts of love and care. We get wonderful updates and it’s so great to feel comfortable and relaxed knowing Peggy is well cared for!”

“Janet was fantastic, welcoming our dog into her home like family. She sent us pictures every day and our dog always looked happy and relaxed. We wouldn't hesitate to book with Janet again- it was so helpful to know our dog was safe, happy, and well cared for while we were away.”

“Ryan was very reassuring when I went to meet and greet him, and his dog, Ellie, with our two almost-1-year old Yorkies. He accommodated my concerns because of their small size and put mesh and draped, blankets on his balcony rails! I had never left the pups for more than three days so it was nice to get the photos and videos and messages Ryan sent that showed they were happy and well cared for. The puppies loved Ryan. (He said they played well with his dog, too)) I’m glad we can reach out again someday to see about the pups spending time again with their new friends, Ryan and Ellie!”

“Khala took such great care of my 2 pups! I’ll definitely book with her next time. She’s great with communication and sends updates with pics. Great energy, wonderful spirit. So happy I found her and I’m sure my pups are too!”

“Jenny is great! My dog had a blast with her and her family over thanksgiving and I love all the adorable photo updates. She is knocked out asleep from all the fun she had. Will book again!”

“Emma was wonderful and took great care of my dog, Lele, during her two-week stay. She was super nice and responsive, and Lele clearly loved her. I would absolutely recommend Emma and will definitely book with her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Day Heights home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Day Heights.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Day Heights sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
