“We can’t say enough about how great Dawn was with our two little dogs. They stayed with her for the first time for 5 days at the end of April. Since both are senior dogs, one is 16 and one is 14, we were a little concerned about how well they would do. And unfortunately, one morning, one of the dogs woke up having some rather serious issues. But Dawn was right on it! She immediately put him in the car and rushed him to MedVet, as we would have done. She called us on the way there, very calmly explained the situation and continued to keep us informed the entire time. She brought him home with medication and continued to give it to him until we could return the following day. All in all, as scary as it was, we couldn’t have asked for anyone to be more attentive or caring. We will definitely be leaving our two dogs with her again and have learned to trust that she is a true and kindhearted dog person. And by the way, all turned out well.”

About: Hi! I’m Heather — a stay-at-home foster mom, runner, dog lover, and experienced foster/service dog handler based in Batavia, Ohio. After years in corporate recruiting, I’m finally leaning into a life that feels a little more like me — being home with our foster son, spending more time with dogs, being outside, going on walks, and building something slower and more meaningful here in Ohio. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve helped foster and raise more than 50 dogs over the years, including service dogs in training, and I’m also a certified volunteer through the Clermont County Animal Shelter where I walk dogs, take dogs on day trips, and foster here in Ohio. Before moving here, I also helped watch and walk dogs for friends, family, neighbors, and foster connections in Minnesota. I genuinely love all breeds and personalities and really enjoy getting to know what makes each dog unique. Since I’m home most of the day, dogs here get lots of supervision, outdoor time, enrichment, walks, naps, snuggles, and attention throughout the day. We also have a fully fenced yard and two friendly Labs that love having dog friends around. I know how hard it can be leaving your dog with someone else, so I’m big on communication and love sending lots of photo updates throughout their stay so you know they’re happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. Dogs receive regular potty breaks, supervised outdoor time, meals on their normal schedule, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Because I’m not away for long workdays, pets spend very little time alone and are part of our family’s daily activities. Safety is my top priority. We have a fully fenced yard and two friendly Labrador Retrievers who are used to having other dogs around. I’ve fostered and raised more than 50 dogs, including service dogs in training, and I’m comfortable managing different personalities, routines, crate schedules, medications, and introductions. Meet & greets are required before all new boarding stays so we can make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit for both your dog and our home. I want every dog to feel safe, successful, and stress-free during their stay.

About: I currently have a cat. I have pet sat for friends before and generally enjoy spending time with and caring for animals. Through Rover I have provided doggy daycare, pet boarding and dog walking. I am happy to take care of your pets as you have a need. The best times for me to drop by or walk a dog are 12:30-3pm on weekdays. 9-11am is the next best timeframe. I can pet sit an animal in my home depending on availability and pet needs which can be discussed in detail with the owner. My cat is an indoor and outdoor pet and would be kept away from any animals I would pet sit. I can walk dogs easily in my large yard (over 6 acres of land), can crate any pets as needed/requested and have space inside my home to care for them. I can come to a client's home and let a pet out as needed, feed and replenish water as needed, or handle any other general pet care during the day as requested within my available schedule.

About: Worked as a vet assistant for 3 years at a vet office, medically caring for pets and assisting in surgery’s. Then worked for another 3 years at a doggy daycare, interacting and monitoring dogs or caring for the ones that were boarding. I’m currently a stay at home mom. About: I've been around dogs of all breeds/sizes my whole life. I've raised and trained dogs. When I was younger I trained and did dog shows in 4H with my pup. About: I am a huge animal lover! I currently have an 12 year old Goldendoodle named Stella. I have had dogs my whole life and can’t imagine ever being without one! I love taking Stella to dog parks, going for walks, or hanging out around town. I would love to do the same with any dog that I would be watching! Stella also loves to be around other dogs and has never been aggressive in any way. I would be happy to accommodate any special needs your fur baby may have! I do have my 3 year old son and 5 month old daughter in the home as well, so the pups will need to be kid friendly! About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life. I grew up with three cats that are now senior kitties and need a bit more care. I’ve been the go to pet sitter for my friends and family for years. In addition I also worked at a dog boarding and daycare for a few months so I’ve met and dealt with many dogs with different energy and social levels. I learned I prefer taking care of animals more one on one, or in a smaller setting. This way I can ensure your pets get everything they need and never feel neglected. My work schedule is as follows: Monday~ 4:30pm-10pm Wednesday~ 1:45pm-9:30pm Friday& Saturday~ 10:15am-4pm or 2:15pm-10:30pm Sunday~ 9:15am-4pm or 2:15pm-8:30pm. My weekend schedule varies from morning to night and i get my schedule one week in advance. I have Tuesdays and Thursdays completely free. I am also happy to move my schedule around if needed as long as i have a 15 days notice. :) I am enthusiastic about caring for animals. I will make sure your animals are well loved while you’re away. I noticed that every time I used a kennel service for our fur baby, our dog would get so scared, stress shed, nervous/anxiety, she would not eat, different times she caught kennel cough (which meant more vet bills), and our dog was definitely unhappy with the small kennel space surrounded by other upset loud barking pups/dogs/animals! I have owned dogs most my life (had my first pup with the responsibilities at 6 years old, and owned/fostered animals for 33 years after) taking care of puppies, adults and senior dogs (a pit bull, a Pekingese, Shih Tzu , then fostered a German Shepard, a Poodle, a black pup Lab), Taken cared of a Golden Retriever, a Pitbull, bulldogs, Soft- wheat Terriers, birds, hamsters, turtles, a class pet guinea pig, and cared for friends cats too (see photos). Yes, I have a small dog but our house is big enough to have another dog/cat/pet around (I can gate, and keep my dog separate if need). Your pet will be taken out for a run or walk at least 4x a day (usually 4-8 times with pictures)! Schedule: I take your/our dog out first thing in the morning, lunch, then around 3-4pm around/after dinner time , and right before bedtime too ( update you with photos)! I will spend time with your dog/pet. I will sit with, read to, massage, comb, feed and pet (constantly check on, if they don’t want to be disturbed)! Even while I read to my child, homeschool or while we watch tv at night. I have taught my children not jump around,not rush, nor scare animals. I will keep your dog/pet on a leash every time we go outside, so they don't go missing or let other dogs bother them. (Off leash free to run roam inside the house and I have a mini tread mill if outside walks and inside play is not enough). Our dog is up to date with all shots, vet visits, and takes medication for tick/flee, heart worms. We give our dog a shower once every other week and when she gets muddy. About: Hi! I’m Heather — a stay-at-home foster mom, runner, dog lover, and experienced foster/service dog handler based in Batavia, Ohio. After years in corporate recruiting, I’m finally leaning into a life that feels a little more like me — being home with our foster son, spending more time with dogs, being outside, going on walks, and building something slower and more meaningful here in Ohio.
