“Amanda is great! She is incredibly nice and my dog immediately liked her, I feel completely at ease with her caring for him. She is experienced, clearly loves dogs and took excellent care of mine. I will definitely hire Amanda again.”

“Alyssa went above and beyond taking care of our pets, she even went out of her way to get more litter for our cats when we were running low. Very thankful for that! We were also very happy with the detailed notes and pictures she sent us while we were gone. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future !”

“Maria was great! She was very responsive to all messages, asked questions, and sent very cute pictures. I had zero anxiety leaving my cats with Maria and would absolutely have Maria watch my babies again!”

About: Hello, my name is Tracy and I'm a total dog person! Although I can't have a furry friend at home due to my living situation, I volunteer as a dog walker at the local capital humane society here in town. I've had the pleasure of working with dogs of all breeds and sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to massive Great Danes! There's nothing better than seeing their tails wag and spoiling them with pets and treats. My dream is to own a large piece of land where I can provide a forever home for senior and handicapped animals. Until then, I'll continue to volunteer and do my part to help these amazing companions! I currently work full time and have a part time job on top of that i also volunteer 1 day a week at the capital humane society as a dog walker! i enjoy taking walks around the park and or neighborhood, after our long walk then we would go to the dog park and meet all our other furry friends!
“Liz was great!! My fur kids just loved her. She even took time to come over before the scheduled date to meet my kids and learn their routine. She was so good with them and sent the best pictures!!”

About: I’ve spent years caring for animals—raising multiple dog and cat breeds, being the trusted friend who watches everyone’s pets, and even working as a pre-vet student and zookeeper for tigers and wolves. I now have my own husky and two cats, and I’m confident, calm, and experienced with pets of all personalities, needs, and energy levels. Because I work remotely full-time, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I can easily rotate between work and pet care, fitting in walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins whenever needed. My availability stays steady, so your pet gets reliable company, structure, and care from morning to evening. About: I’ve taken care of dogs through all stages of life. We’ve ALWAYS had dogs growing up in my family and as I’ve gotten older I’ve even helped raise a couple puppies. I dog sit for a few people from work and such whenever they go out and I’ve even helped a couple people potty train their puppies by just letting them out every couple hours while they were at work! I have a cat myself currently and have had multiple dogs (including special needs ones) in the past, so I understand working with animals multiple times every single day. I’d be at your house multiple times a day to let your animals out/check on them. When an animals owners go away I know they have to be sad or maybe even lonely. So I try to go out of my way to make sure they are comfortable while you’re away and even (if they’re not a playful type of pet) to play or cuddle with them for a few minutes at least each time I’d stop by so they get at least a little bit of pent up energy out.
About: I’m Ashley! I’m NE born and raised. I’ve lived in Lincoln for over 10 years! I received my bachelors degree at UNL and my Masters and UNO. I have experience caring for dogs throughout my whole life and have had dogs in my life and own home throughout my childhood and currently have my own dog as an adult as well. I was a dog walker in high school and walked dog packs of 6-8 dogs at once of all sizes with my best friend. 🥰 I’ve been a cat owner for 6 years as well in addition to experience working in a Cat Hotel and living/loving my friends kitties, so I’m pretty comfortable with our feline friends too! I’ve also worked for several years at doggie daycare locally in Lincoln, giving me even more experience with routinely caring for fur friends that aren’t my on, following given food/medication regimens, etc. I work full time 9am-5pm Mon-Fri but am available for drop ins and house sitting before and after my work day. When booked for a house sitting I’m typically at the home full time on weekends. I am available for walks later afternoon/evenings during the week and most anytime on weekends! I care for all animals with the same love and affection of being my own! I always do my best to follow any instructions given per the FurMom/FurDad and make sure that your little fluff has a great time. :) My goal is to keep things as normal as possible for their routine while you’re away.
“Wr needed a dog/house sitter for a last minute trip. I didn't want just anyone, either. Ibqas so worried our dogs were just going to be let out 3-4 times a day, and not get any play time. That was not the case when I got on here and found Ashlee. She was simply amazing! She sent me pictures of our dogs multiple times a day, was always checking in with me. Our dogs usually have separation anxiety and they seemed to do just fine with her! She walked our dogs multiple times, spoiled the with treats, played with them outside for a while! We were very blessed to have found Ashlee. We liked her so much we booked her again when we went to a concert, and we have her potentially booked for our vacation in February! She is a fantastic dog/house sitter. Thanks again, Ashlee! ?”
“This was my very first time using anything like Rover to help take care of my dog partner. Olivia Maximilianus lived up to, and beyond, any expectations I ever had; performing with brilliant helpfulness. Providing professional service above any idea of which that I had going into the situation of needing help feeding my four-legged relative, while I traveled. With the sonic intuition of a bat soaring through the night, she knew what I needed before I could even think of it. With the professional and timely voice of mourning dove, she was prompt and unbelievably reliable. With the cool and calm discipline of a crow crossing a wire over a field of peace lilies, bluegrasses, and dandelions, she left my home and space in a cleaner and more organised way than I had left it. And with the resilience and dedication of V-formed geese, my four-legged family was exercised and engaged in such a good way. Evidenced in her calm and content energy in my return home. Reminding me of the words from my favourite poet, Mary Oliver, in the last verse of her poem titled, October: “One morning the fox came down the hill, glittering and confident, and didn’t see me- and I thought: so this is the world. I’m not in it. It is beautiful.””

“Kristin was great again! We have used her more than once, this time for just a check-in, feed breakfast, and play a bit for an hour while we were gone for an all-day event. Will always try to use Kristin when we need a Rover.”

As of August 2026, there are 284 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Davey. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Davey. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
