“Genna was incredible with our Frenchton, Cabbage! She provided regular updates & photos, went above and beyond to make her feel at home, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving her overnight. You can truly tell how much she loves and cares for the animals she watches. We will absolutely be booking with her again! Our review = EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!❤️❤️❤️”

“I can't say enough about Heather. Due to a scheduling conflict, she came and picked up our dog from our house. Our dog is very anxious and Heather spent a large amount of time with her, in our home. Heather did everything she could to make our dog feel comfortable. Heather couldn't get her out the first time over. She came to our house 4 times before she could get our dog out. Heather sent updates about how our dog was doing. Heather is patient and genuinely kind. We will use Heather again!”

“Corinna did a terrific job with caring for Rizzo and keeping us aware of how he was doing with text and pictures. We would definitely use her services again and would recommend her to others.”

“Darcie was wonderful with our dog, Remi! She sent us lots of photos with updates throughout his stay and we felt completely at peace knowing that she was taking care of him while we were out of town.”

“Mary is literally the best pup sitter. She takes such care of our pup like he is her own. You can tell her heart belongs to the dogs she sits for by how she takes care of them. You won't be sorry for choosing Mary.”

“Ashley was great, upfront communication and alignment with the environment they had, which helped ensure a good fit. Her two dogs and the space made Thad feel right at home and welcome! Definitely going to keep at the top of this list for the future.”

“Thanos seemed like he really enjoyed his stay with Olivia and family. I truly appreciate her accommodating for his last minute stay. She communicated well and sent lots of updates and pictures. Thanos came back to us with a smile and new friends. Definitely recommend!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since the ripe age of 7 with basic care of water/food in bowl and every 2-4hrs of potty. Whether it was friends or family. Didn't start going professional till 15 with babysitting for children and their family pups! For cats, I own a cat myself and been taking care of her for 8 years. With consistent of litter changes, basic necessities and cuddles! I am free majority of the summer before college. Tuesday's will not be free. But for majority of the week, I'm available as early as 10:00Am till late nights I have a fenced yard for your dog to run around in. I have one female lab and one male Chihuahua that are friendly and can interact with other dogs. (Also have one female cat!) My home is very much spacious, if your dog needs to be crated as well!
“Nyjeah W. Took good care of my Schnoodle Dog Hosanna and my cat Shylynn she was very responsive with updates, very reliable. I would recommend her if you need someone to watch your loving pets she's the best.”

“Emily did a great job caring for our dog while we were on vacation for a week! She sent pictures and updates daily and was very easy to communicate with. She treated our dog like one of her own, even letting him sleep in her bed when he didn’t want to sleep in his kennel! We would definitely use Emily again!”

“Sherry was great watching Thad, has a very nice welcoming pup herself so glad for my dog to have another one to run around with. Great property with plenty of space, can tell she takes them for long fun walks.”

“Joe was really great with my dog who has separation anxiety. He took the time to let her get comfortable and trust him. He also checked in throughout, which gave us peace of mind!”
“Shalom was very well taken care of, she was comfortable and happy when we came to get her. She even seemed to have gained a little weight which we've been trying to get her to do for awhile now! Terry was very kind and polite and we'd gladly take Shalom back to him to be watched whenever we need!”

“Carol was so kind and warm and my sweet Daphne felt very at home with her and Shorty while we traveled. I appreciated that she did a meet and greet beforehand and that she sent photo updates while we were away. When our return flights were delayed, Carol was gracious and flexible about the extra time. I feel lucky to have found such a great person and petsitter.”

About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs since an early age. I’ve cared for my own pets and those of friends and family. I work from home Monday through Friday, so I’m able to be with your fur babies all day. Weekends are for fun and time outside walking and socializing. I live in an apartment with a fair amount of green space and a paved pond area for daily walks. I’m also conveniently located next to a dog park as well! I have two sweet kitties to keep your babies company throughout the day too.
“Our dog Cami was so well taken care of by Erica. She wanted to know all about her routines to make her visit the best it could be. Erica updated us daily on how she was doing and sent pictures. We look forward to using Erica again soon! 😀❤️”

Taylor was super nice and accommodating! She watched our three crazy dogs and did a great job. She was very communicative and sent adorable pictures of our dogs looking happy and engaged. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and hope to book her services again!

Layla had a great time at Katelyn’s! I can tell she felt welcome and comfortable and loved. They have a beautiful home in a great area with a perfect backyard for dogs. She enjoyed playing with the family dogs so much! Katelyn also sent a baggie of treats with a sweet note home with Layla. Nice touch! I highly recommend this sweet family for your doggie care needs.

Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
