“Edith is your dream sitter. She posts daily photos and updates of your pet. She obviously loves what she does. She is a lovely soul and my Mimi, who can be shy, had her tail up in the photos which made me feel reassured that she was in a safe, loving environment.”

“Gen was very responsive. She answered questions quickly and sent a lot of great pictures. My dog actually had a healthy amount of play and sleep instead of being overstimulated all day like she would at a traditional day care.”

“Jenna and her girls took such great care of Merlin! Jenna always responds in a timely manner and has a flexible schedule. I got daily picture updates on how he was doing which was much appreciated. Merlin will definitely be visiting them again! Thank you so much 😊”

About: Dogs are my favorite people - I attract dogs wherever I go. I have owned two dogs in my adult life-English Bulldog and Goldendoodle. Currently, I have a 10 year old goldendoodle. She loves everyone. I am a teacher and have off during the summer. I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, running, reading, gardening, and cooking. I’m currently on summer break, so my days are very flexible. During the school year, I am available before 7am or after 4pm. I have a very friendly goldendoodle. I have a big yard. I am willing to provide lots of love, playtime, and walks for your dog. I can be active with your pet or sit with them and love them up. Whatever you need, I can provide.
“Susan and Molly provided the perfect stay for our pup while we were away. They were very communicative and sent lots of cute updates. They took him on walks and clearly went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable - he came home a tired and happy guy. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter - book with confidence!”

“Hi Elizabeth, I just wanted to say thank you for taking such great care of Fox! I really appreciated the updates while I was away. It’s clear you gave her lots of attention and care, and I could tell she was happy and comfortable with you. I’d absolutely trust you again and would happily recommend you to others. Thanks again!”
“We are looking to find someone to board Ollie with for weekends. To start him out slow (he has separation anxiety), we had a Meet and Greet, a short (3hr) stay and later, a full day stay. Julie was clear that her dog Zilla's comfort with Ollie was a priority, which I fully support. I won't want to trust my dog to someone who isn't looking out for ALL the dogs involved. Julie was very responsive with messages, showed us around her home and yard and was generally very calm and patient. While the dogs didn't end up getting along well enough for this to work out long term, Ollie warmed up to Julie and was definitely as calm as I've seen him after being left.”

“Our dog Birdie enjoyed staying the morning and afternoon with Mallory and three labs. Mallory was very flexible and was great with the communication. I would definitely recommend her home.”

“Jenny felt right at home and couldn't wait to go back the second day! I'll definitely return to Paula the next time we need daycare! Communication and updates were great and very much appreciated!”

About: I'm currently in a pet-free home with my kiddos and have lived with dogs for much of my adult life. I'm a massage therapist and love giving pups a little TLC with energy therapy and light massage. They love it! The dog you see in my thumbnail photo is KC. She was a rescue dog who was with us for six years and needed lots of training, support and care. Please note I take 3 walking clients per day but only 1 boarder at a time. I teach at a technical college and am a personal trainer, working part-time from home and part-time out of the home. I'm often home for long hours during the day. My three kids are in public school, so dogs may have 1 to 4 dog-lovers in the home after 4pm. I offer long walks on sidewalks or trails if preferred, treats, water, lots of play and unlimited petting! I offer care in my home and dog walking. Pets are allowed on my furniture if that's what they're used to. Looking forward to meeting your pup!
About: We have been loving and caring for dogs for a long time. Big and small dogs; young and old. Our son and 7 year old dog are welcoming I am currently working from home and Bryan works part time. Our son is home schooled at this time, therefore, we have time and energy to help other dogs and other families We have a large yard in a quiet neighborhood; part of our yard is fenced and other part is open for additional exercise. We also walk our dog daily.
“Lindsey was great!! We were traveling from Virginia via California with our two dogs for a special family occasion and it was pleasure working with Lindsey! She really knows dogs, is kind, and our dogs were loved and cared for! She made sure to keep them safe and well loved. Thank you Lindsey!”

About: Hi! I have cared for dogs and had them as part of my family for my entire life, from a reactive spit-fire Jack Russell Terrier to a gentle giant Saint Bernard. Currently, I have a five-year-old Golden Retriever named Goose. I love seeing him play and interact with other dogs. He does a great job of matching another dogs energy. Working from home allows me the time and flexibility to give dogs the love and attention they deserve. My yard is an entire acre where dogs can run, roll, and sniff around. Despite having such a large yard, I still make it a point to take dogs out for walks. Not only do they love the exercise, but it's something I enjoy too. My experience with different breeds and temperaments has taught me how to create a balanced environment where dogs can thrive, stay active, and be happy. Outside of my own home, I also volunteered at a humane society for over three years caring for cats, feeding animals, cleaning kennels, and walking dogs. It would be an honor to get to know a part of your family and ensure they having a wagging tail all day long :) I work from home so I have a very flexible schedule! My routine with Goose is a 6:00 am potty break, an 11 am walk, a 4 pm walk, and two potty breaks in the evening. I would be willing to do more or less walks / potty breaks for your dog(s). I have tons of space at my home (it is an open acre yard with an invisible fence). I am open to following steps that make you and your dog feel safe. I have tons of toys and beds to make your puppy feel comfortable.

About: I have four dog nieces and nephews that I love very much and occasionally watch. I check in on my neighbors dog when needed. I successfully dog sat a Great Dane for a week who I fell in love with. I have a large fenced in yard that is the best for zoomies. I work from home M-F with a flexible schedule to take the dogs out to play or for a walk. The summer months I may be less available during the weekends but during the winter I will have more availability. I have a fenced in yard that is large enough for dogs to run. There are no other animals or children at this house making it a relaxing and peaceful place if the dog needs a more chill environment. I do have two doodle nephews that can come to play if the dog needs to socialize.
“My little pup Macy had a wonderful, exciting day with Gina and her kiddos! She was given lots of love and attention - wore her out in the best way possible! Thank you so much Gina for taking good care of her!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 or 11. I have had a dog growing up and am very responsible for caring for them and giving them what they need. I love all dogs and would love to give your dog the exercise it needs! I’m currently home from college and would love to work with pups over the summer! I’m pretty flexible on when and where I’m able to work! I have a dog at my home and I live right next to a park that I bring my dog to a bunch over the summer. My dog plays well with other dogs and would love some more company this summer!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 314 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Dane. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dane commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 314 sitters in Dane, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
