I’m very flexible and able to work with all of your dogs special wants and needs, and yours! I have tons of experience house-sitting and pet-sitting, I have fostered before and trained my own dogs. I have also taken care of diabetic animals while pet-sitting, and I am able to give medications if needed. I’m available 7 days a week to care for your pet overnight, and with only 5 hour shifts at work—the rest of the day would be spent with your animals. I am able to walk with your dog while you are away if requested. I’m currently only working part time to have more pet-care availability! I prioritize your household and animals, with loads of flexibility to meet your or your pet’s needs. I am available to do drop in services for bathroom breaks, public outings or walks (for well-mannered dogs only), time-sensitive medication administration, puppy care and training, or just hanging out inside of your home to keep them company. I am also experienced with pregnant dogs, nursing puppies, and whelping litters. I am adaptable to your household’s needs in terms of timing, cleaning, schedules and activities. About: If my rates are an obstacle in caring for your pet then I’m happy to provide a sliding scale and have a discussion upon request. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. I love exercising animals as much as it is tolerated by them. I currently work per diem as a staff nurse in Lebanon NH which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets. I am happy to abide by your house rules and expectations for your pet(s). I enjoy walks to dog parks, trails, playing in fenced yards and practicing obedience and tricks!
