About: I have taken care of animals since the age of 12. I have experience with a wide range of pets including ,but not limited to cats, horses, small dogs ranging from chihuahua, Yorkie, and pomeranian. To larger dogs like German shepherds, Rottweiler, pitbulls, and great Pyrenees hurding dogs. I also have a history of equestrian work with horses so it's made it easier to handle larger dogs. All pets deserve to be pampered and treated like family. Every time no excuse. I am a stay at home mom so I have no schedule to work around. I am available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. How each pet is treated will heavily depend on the owners wants and the pets needs. I will do my absolute best to keep any discussed expectations met. And I will always make sure I do what I can to help the pet have fun and be safe and comfortable. And for house sitting my goals are to meet all expectations discussed before hand and make someone's life just a bit easier .
“So grateful for Selena’s help with our pups. Really appreciated the pictures and the communication during our time away. We knew our pups were taken care of and in the best hands while we were away”

“I highly recommend Madison! She is friendly, reliable and great with communicating. She took excellent care of my two dogs and my cat and I’ll definitely be using her again. Thank you so much, Madison!”

About: Hi! I’m Alexis, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so I know they aren’t “just pets”, they’re family. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and cuddly, or somewhere in between. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, and to care for them just as I would my own. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry best friend, so I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages to give you peace of mind. Whether it’s walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup and become someone you can trust whenever you need a helping hand! I'm a recent college graduate so I am home fulltime and have more than enough time available to love on your fur baby! There is nothing better than having furbaby love! I do not have a fenced in backyard but will be more than happy to take your furry baby on a walk, welcome them into my apartment and/or drop in and see how they are doing!

About: I have taken care of dogs ranging from 8 week old puppies to immobile senior dogs for decades— from administering shots to oral & topical meds, as well as regular therapeutic & “mind tiring” exercises, I’ve done it all. I’ve taken dogs to more specialist care facilities than myself or my family; I view our furry companions as family & treat them as such. I enjoy hiking, walking, biking, and cuddling with all fur-babies. A typical day in my house starts with a 2 mile jaunt - typically through some woods and half-off leash if my girl has her listening ears on (we’ve done extensive obedience and agility training), to end in a nice loop back home with breakfast, a cold “pupsicle” (Aldi FTW), and fresh water, followed by a good brush and nail trim if needed. Bath days are mini spa days— we move at the pace of the fur & always after a long walk. I’m currently a stay at home wife, so I have plenty of time to walk, bathe, feed, and love your fur-baby however many times their schedule requires. I enjoy being outside “exploring” new walking paths with my pup; I would love to give yours the same experience! I have a 7 year old lab/border collie mix named Olive, who is the sweetest gal who loves to make friends. If your fur-baby desires a friend on a walk, she’s always willing! I have a backyard that looks out to a creek down a ravine, with no neighboring doggos. If your fur-baby needs crated, I have a large kennel with a comfy bed for them.
About: I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps and decided to change career paths. After I got out I found a different passion which was training dogs. Please read what sets me apart from every one else and if you still have questions afterwards then do not hesitate to reach out to me! -Your pet will have 24/7 supervision and company, if an emergency arises on my end I will immediately reach out to you and let you know, I will never leave your dog unattended because I would not want someone to do it my dog, therefore I always treat visitors with the same respect. -My dog Moxie is seen and treated like one of my kids and yours will be to while under my care! -I will keep in contact at all times and update you on their visit w/photos. -I am a professional dog trainer who does boarding on the side. What this means is that your dogs will have the best care in the area when it comes to their safety and comfort. They will not have any unsupervised play like any of the other day care or boarding facilities around. I take your dog’s mental and physical care seriously. Every interaction they have can have a lasting impact on them for the rest of their life’s. I am currently a stay at home dad so my schedule is very flexible. Your pets safety and well being is my top priority throughout the day. I currently have 1 female Belgian Malinois her name is Moxie. If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to message me and ask.
“We appreciated Keshya dropping in on our cat, Bella, while we were gone. Bella was relaxed and happy when we got home. It was much better than having her stressed and nervous staying in a kennel.”

“Raven was there in a pinch and even brought the baby to see the pups! She is awesome, thoughtful, caring, considerate and communicative. She always had us informed and always treated the dogs with kindness. She’s amazing and following complex directions seeing as each dog has a special need for their diets. She’s the real deal. And will be at the top of a very short Rover list I keep! Thank you - The Smith Family 🐶🐶🐶🐶”

About: I have had cats and dogs all my life that have and are living great long and fulfilling lives. I treat animals well with great care and respect and even had the opportunity to nurse a baby squirrel back to health I’m working part-time and will be visiting your little family member and be able to give them one on one attention give them walks feed them and an occasional treat and play. I understand what it’s like to have a hyper lazy or in between dog so I can handle any situation and treat them as I would my own with love care and respect. I like to set a very comfortable environment for an animal I’m working with to get them to understand that I’m a friend and someone who is here to care so I like to set those boundaries and understanding of what makes them comfortable and listen to their body language. I like to build trust in my relationships with positive enforcement and trust.
“One of the nicest and professional sitters I’ve met. He was a blast to have over watching our cats! Kept us updated and sent pictures daily! Went above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone!”

About: After 19 years of living with large dogs, i've grown accustomed to their behaviors, living with German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Huskys, Great Pyrenees, and many others. I'm used to breeds that many people consider aggressive, though I'm also good with small dogs. Since I started pet sitting for neighbors I've been around chihuahuas, terriers, poodles, corgis and many more. I'd love the chance to meet your dogs regardless of how big or small they are! I work full time at a doctors office but I have a two hour break every day, from 12-2 so I've got time during work to hang out with you puppies! I get off at 12 of Fridays and don't work at all on the weekends, I would be available for your pets almost all day, available to stop by during breaks and spending evenings and early mornings with them! Due to my availability with work I am able to spend a lot of time at the house with the pets I'm watching. I spend several hours a day and home with the pets, spending time with them, playing outside and just hanging out together!

We treat others as family, we love to spoil others, and we also provide training if needed with positive reinforcement. We also not only provide pet sitting but plant sitting as well, we are huge into gardening and we can give lots of care information and advice on any plant that you have/want. We’re always here and are happy to help, we always respond fast especially when you need us, and we love to serve others because we love making people happy <3 We both have full time availability, so we are able to provide every single service available including leash training, pet training, plant sitting, housekeeping, etc. Our dream is to be able to care for every single pet that is in need even the ones that don’t have any homes, and to be able to hang out with pups and kitties all day long and give them all of the love that they deserve :) We care for pets in our home and both our client’s home by always putting their needs first, we always stick to routines (if they have one), and we even like to take them to doggy parks, buy them toys, buy them treats, teach them new tricks, or even play with them/go on longer walks as well :)
About: I am 100% committed to loving your furbaby as if he/she were my own. I will walk, play and love on your four legged baby and ensure they will have the best time while you’re away. The safety of your furbaby is most important so I will take necessary precautions to make sure they are safe as well as having fun.
“Jenna is awesome! She watched Gus on short notice over a holiday weekend and treated him like he was her own! Will definitely be using her again soon and 10/10 will be recommending to friends!”
About: First off, my name is Vanessa and I am a HUGE animal lover. I have been around dogs/cats all my life and I will always have a soft spot for them no matter what. I’m very passionate when it comes to dog and cat care because I want to make sure that they are taken care of. My special skills require being responsible, smart, caring, hardworking. I will create a healthy and fun environment for your pets while also making sure they are safe. I look forward to meeting with you as a potential client and of course, meeting your pets! :) I am again home full time so I can provide extra care and time for your pets while being able to give them all the love while they are away from their owners! I am very involved with my pets at home. My cat Luna is very independent and my dog Vader is very friendly and loves meeting new people/animals!
About: Little bit about me; I grew up on a farm caring for cows, horses, dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, goats and alpacas. I don’t back down from hard work or difficult animals. I love everything about the outdoors like, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, running, or swimming. You name it and I’m down. :) I managed A large dog boarding facility for 4 years while obtaining my bachelors degree in animal science. I worked in a large animal ER hospital and a small animal veterinary clinic for 1 year under several veterinarians as a veterinary technician assistant. I am trained in animal CPR and wound care. I know all the tricks to giving medications, including insulin and understand the importance of anxiety medication when it’s needed. Work well with all dogs from puppies to seniors but won’t put myself in harm if there is aggression. I work from home and make my own schedule so I am available most weekdays and weekends. I have two dogs the require a lot of play and attention so i understand the importance of putting your animals first and quilt when they don't get the fun they deserve. During my drop- in visits, I will let out once in the morning before 10 AM and once in the evening between 5 and 7 PM. Both with a 20min play or walk. During house sitting I will be at your house during most of the day and all night. I will bring my work with me if WiFi is available and if not, I will let out 2 times a day and stay all night. If WiFi is available I will let out 3 times a day. In both instances there will be an hour of play throughout the day.
About: I started taking care of my neighbors' dogs at the beginning of adolescence and, since then, have owned at least 2 dogs. I worked at Petsmart as a dog bather and have participated in very basic training with dogs (mostly sit, stay, etc). I'm active duty, so my availability is mostly after 4 or 5 PM weekdays and open availability on the weekends pending any work that may fall outside those working day(s). I'm fairly open minded and will work with you on however you feel would make the environment and situation safe for your wonderful fur babies!

“Marissa T. Is such a caring person that she treats my cat and dog as her own. I love the updates and the daily pictures and am secure in the knowledge my “kids” are well cared for when I cannot be home.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 140 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cusseta. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cusseta. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
