We really love Heather! Our regular daycare was booked solid and I'd never looked at Rover before for daycare purposes. But we found a new daycare that Milly loves! We also love getting pictures and videos throughout the day! So fun!

Very welcoming, quick to respond. Treated my puppy like one of her own. Super sweet, and really enjoyed the feedback and videos of my pup playing with others.

Maria took amazing care of our baby ! Our puppy has a lot of energy and Maria was super accommodating to our baby’s need. She updated me throughout and send pictures while we were away. She also accepted the booking even tho it was pretty last minute. Would highly recommend her and would book with her again!

Belle was very good about explaining everything---areas available to the dog, other dogs at the home, toys, food, water, vet etc. Everything was clean. It was the first time my dog had been left with someone other than myself and so it was all new to him. I felt confident that Flynn was well taken care of and will use Belle again.

WOW! Angie went above and beyond to make Honey's birthday at her house wonderful. She made homemade GF pumpkin cakes (after asking Honey's dietary needs), found party hats, and made it an absolute party. I was having a rough, stressful day, and the photos and updates Angie sent of Honey + Winnie celebrating made my whole day. We will continue trusting Angie with our fur babies!

About: I have been around all different kinds of dogs my entire life. My parents were big animal lovers which had been passed on to me. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat of my own. One is a smaller dog and our other 2 are bigger dogs (60-75 lbs). Our cat is a 3 year old cat who is not afraid of anything. He loves to play with our dogs like he is one of them! I have a heart for animals and love getting to spoil and play with all the dogs/ cats that I have the chance to meet. I currently am staying at home with my daughter! I was a teacher but now am staying at home full time. Whatever you need I am able to fit your animals schedule into my day! I am able to follow any schedule and rules that are needed to be followed. It is so important to know that your dog is in good hands and taken care of when you are away and I want to be sure that every client knows I will do that for them. I will be sure to love on, play and make sure the dogs needs are met and each client can have an eased mind when they are away.

We have crates and places to put additional crates if needed.

Patrick and Chris are excellent dog sitters and all around great people. I work early mornings in the hospital before any other daycares open and was worried I would have no place to bring my 4 month old puppy. They willingly took my pup in at 0515 am. She was so excited to see them the next morning. We will absolutely use them again!

About: I have taken care of animals in my home all throughout my life. I’d love to help keep yours safe and happy so that you can enjoy your trip! I am a registered nurse that has become a full time stay at home mom of two children. I do enjoy getting my children out for activities, but we primarily stay near home so I am in a unique position to take on more in home responsibilities such as animal care. I have one dog of my own that is 12 years old. During the day she is free to roam, eat and sleep wherever she sees fit. Since I do have two young children I do have gates that can separate her from them when they want to play with remote control cars or any other hazard to her as she is a senior dog. I have an acre of back yard that is not fenced in but we have a routine of taking our girl out on a leash to roam the yard and find her perfect “spot” if you know what I mean 😉

About: I have a 4 pound Yorkie and 40 pound blue heeler mix who loves to make new friends! Finding an overnight sitter that doesn’t break the bank, but you can also trust is hard, so that’s the service I want to provide! I work from home fully and take the dogs out at least every 2 hours! If your dog likes to run, we are also a big running family! I have a very flexible job and am fully remote. I start everyday with a walk and then am able to take the dogs out at least every 2 hours. Our bigger dog loves to fetch and play! We are close to a dog park! In my home, I have all carpeted areas fenced off, so dogs are allowed to roam around in the areas that are pet safe and they can’t do much damage!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 771 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Cumberland Furnace. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cumberland Furnace commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 771 sitters in Cumberland Furnace, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
