“Nicole was great with my goldendoodle Kingston. She kept me updated from the time I left, and each day after. She sent me photos of him playing with her two dogs, and a German Shepard that was there one day on a play date. Kingston was well cared for, and judging from the photos he had a ball while there. He was able to run and play in Nicole's hugh backyard, and Kingston also had a dedicated room in her house to nap/sleep. Nicole is a fantasic sitter and I could tell that she loves dogs. I would definitely reommend her services if you need a dog sitter.”

“Returning again and again to board our dogs in their loving care. You know your dogs are happy and well cared for when they see their house and run out of our car, not even looking back at us. Love the photos and communications. They are so incredible!”

About: Hi!! My name is Elizabeth:) For me, animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve had pets throughout my life, and I currently have a sweet tuxedo girl of my own! 😊💜 I’ve always had a special connection with animals, and it seems like they’re naturally drawn to me, too! I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality, making them feel safe and comfortable, and giving them all the love and attention they deserve. I understand that pets are family, and I would treat your fur babies with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own. Whether your pet loves cuddles, playtime, walks, or simply having someone around to keep them company, I want to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. 🐶🐈⬛💜 I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! I’m self-employed, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week! I can work around your schedule and help with morning, afternoon, or evening visits. I’m also flexible on weekends, so I can be available whenever you need someone to care for your pets. I have a fully fenced backyard and live in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood in the Gastonia area near Crowders Mountain and Kings Mountain, away from the main road. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur babies, and I would treat them with the same love and care I give my own.

“Irina and her husband had our husky over the weekend for the 4th of July and did an amazing job taking care of her. Even took her out for a hike. Thank you both! Happy to have found Luna a caring couple to leave her with when we need to.”

About: Our family has a dauschaund for 15 years that passed in August. She was provided so much love and care. I'm not afraid to help feel meds to your pup to keep them happy and healthy. We now have two pomeranian/ chihuahua mixes. One is about half way through his training to be a service dog and hopefully a therapy dog. He loves learning and putting that work vest on. His sister is a year younger and lives to play and snuggle. We loved boarding our friends dog, and both Rupert and Mabel get along with their pup friends. And they all love running around our fully fenced backyard. Our family has also had cats off and on for over 20 years. While I know they are laid back and are happy with an empty litter box and a full food bowl, they like getting the extra love and attention to. So whether it's with a toy on a stick, balls on the ground, or even some gentle pets they need love while your away also. I would love to help care for your four legged family member. While in my care, they would be treated like one of the family. I currently work part-time from home. I would be available to help your four legged family member before 7am and after 12 noon. The only other thing that keeps me busy is the training with Rupert, and playing and snuggling with Mabel, but it's flexible. I am asking to care for smaller dogs only because of some medical restrictions. With a small dog I will have no problem walking them, cleaning up after them, and crating if needed. But most of all I will be able to play with them to help burn off energy.

About: I've had dogs and other pets my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, quirks, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel at home. I recently spent almost 13 years caring for my Golden Retriever, Whiskey, who was a huge part of my everyday life. That experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, companionship, and paying attention to the little changes in a dog's behavior. I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities that come with having a dog—from feeding and walks to keeping them comfortable, entertained, and included in the household. My goal with Rover is to provide a calm, safe, and genuinely loving home where your dog can feel like a guest rather than being treated like they're staying at a kennel. I prefer to keep boarding personal and manageable, with plenty of one-on-one attention and time together. I’m happy to follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications or special instructions, sleeping arrangements, and any habits that help them feel comfortable. I also understand that being away from their owner can be stressful for some dogs, so I’m patient and attentive when they need extra reassurance. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. My goal is for you to feel confident that your dog is safe, comfortable, cared for, and getting plenty of attention while you're away. I work from home Mondays and Fridays and when keeping pets on office days come home for lunch and do 3 hour mornings/afternoons so they are never alone for long! I have a fenced in backyard and your dog has the entire house and all furniture to find their spot. I don't crate unless it is requested by owner.
“Nikki, Alec, and Enzo are the BEST family! I couldn’t ask them to do anything better cause they are awesome at EVERYTHING! My pup had the best time there and was treated like their own.”

“We couldn't have found a better pet sitter than Lisa P. Our dog Petey has a lot of anxiety, but Lisa knew exactly how to deal with him. She sent us pictures every day of him and he looked so happy and relaxed. We are so happy we found her and could relax on our vacation and not worry about him.”

“Lindsey is great! We boarded one dog with her and she checked in on our home-bound dog every day. Both dogs loved Lindsey, and I think our homebound dog was a little disappointed we came home. Lindsey kept us updated daily, sharing pictures and details of our dogs' "vacations." Lindsey is always quick to respond, and we will definitely be hiring Lindsey again.”

“Kimberly too excellent care of our Scooter while we were away. I was apprehensive about leaving him as this was the first time in 12 years that we have boarded him. Kimberly sent pics often and spoiled him so much! Highly recommend her.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Crowders
This is the second time I book with Gabriel and Sara, and I have to say, I AM SO GRATEFUL I found them to take care of my puppy when I am away! You can tell they are passionate about animals and truly care about them! Calleri feels like he’s home when he’s with Gabriel and Sara! Charlie, their dog, is the cutest, and he was the best company for my puppy! They get along so well! They took such great care of him and sent me soooo many pictures and videos (more than I could ever ask for!). They kept me updated about his naps and feeding times. They were also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times after my flight was delayed. I finally found someone I can trust with my puppy and have peace of mind when traveling. I have tried so many dog sitters in the Charlotte area, so I can assure you that you won’t want to find another one once you book with them! THANK YOU again, Gabriel and Sara! You guys are the BEST!

I cannot say enough good things about this dog sitter. She is incredibly sweet, patient, and genuinely caring. From the very beginning, she took the time to truly listen to my concerns and needs, especially since my dog had a previous bad experience with another sitter. That meant everything to me. Throughout the stay, she kept me updated and shared messages about how my dog was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked my dog up, I was pleasantly surprised to see her wearing an adorable new little top, and she even sent her home with treats. Those thoughtful touches spoke volumes about the level of care she provides. Most importantly, my dog came back exactly the way she left—healthy, happy, and comfortable. There truly are not enough words to express my gratitude. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pet as if it were their own. Thank you Erica!!!

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
