“Nejra did an excellent job taking care of our cats. She was willing to come to our home to meet our cats so we could show her how we feed our diabetic one. Her drop in visits were 12 hours apart as we requested, including administering insulin each visit. She provided detail and photos twice a day and even a video of her petting. About: I have two fur babies of my own, one that I’ve had for 14 years and I raised both from them birth. I believe that dogs are our family members and should be treated as such; they deserve all the walks, loves, treats, and play time they can get. They are only here with us for so long! I’ve gone as far as taking 5 days off of work to be home with my dog after surgery. My pets are my world and I can assure you I will treat yours the same. I have two dogs of my own - I work full time 4 days a week so I am available to care for your pets on my off days that I don’t have plans. My weekends tend to be very busy during the summer time so please check my calendar for availability. My own pets are always supervised when outside and when leashed. I am always hyper-aware of my surroundings when walking them. I keep all my doors closed in my home and have a baby gate for areas that I don’t want them venturing in. I don’t keep anything out or on the floors, not even food because my dogs would eat until they are sick haha. I don’t ever leave my pets unsupervised in my home - if I’m not home I have indoor cameras to keep an eye on them.

About: Since age 10 I’ve been volunteering at the ARL. At this same time, my passion for animal welfare also led me to be vegetarian. Since being able to drive I have taken care of multiple different peoples animals during short and extended periods away from home. About: Hi! I’m Kati. I’m a stay-at-home mom, graphic designer, and dog sitter. Before I had pets of my own, I would occasionally take care of my neighbor’s shih tzu every time they went out of town. I loved their dog like my own. So much so that I got a dog exactly like theirs as soon as the timing was right for our family. About a year later we got a second shih tzu, which led to an accidental litter of puppies. Although it was by far not in the plan, having that litter of puppies allowed my children to learn an incredible amount about loving and caring for something so tiny and dependent upon our care. We were all able to be a part of their growth and training, which allowed the puppies to get used to children handling them, plus the puppies were partially potty trained by the time they went to their forever homes. My kids now have the same love for animals as I do, which is something you cannot teach. I would love the chance to be able to spread our love of animals through caring for yours. I have a two story home with a gated-off upstairs so pets can stay on the main level on the hardwood floors. We have a large privacy fenced-in backyard with tons of room for dogs to run, play, and potty. We also live in a neighborhood that has walking paths through wooded areas where we love to take our dogs for walks. My husband, three children, three dogs, and bunny live in our home. One of our pups is a sort-of foster situation: She belongs to a client of mine who is battling stage four cancer, so we are currently blessed to be her bonus family. All three of our dogs love and have always gotten along great with other dogs, but slow introductions will always take place before letting them run wild together so meet and greets are required. Since I am a stay-at-home mom that means I am home most of the day giving me plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). I work from home full time, Monday - Friday. I have the ability to take a lunch break to check on pets. I work until 4:00 pm central time each day and can quickly hope over to check-in. About: I am an experienced intensive care unit veterinarian assistant. I have grown up having dogs my whole life, including 2 Huskies, 4 Great Pyrenees, a Rottweiler, and a German Shepard. I have over 1.5 years of experience working in the Small Animal ICU at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and 1 year at Iowa State University's Large Animal Hospital, as well as volunteering at various barns/kennels/shelters. I am very confident in administering medications to older fur babies and being vigilant for any potential emergencies. You can rest at ease knowing I am watching your pet! At home, I have a backyard completely fenced in with a kiddie pool for the dogs and plenty of space to run! I have two Great Pyrenees of my own, so we are always going outside for playtime in the backyard and walks around the neighborhood with plenty of familiar furry friends to visit along the way! I have been working with animals in the professional field since I was 14 and have had pets my entire life. I grew up with cats, but no longer have them as two big dogs are plenty for me, but I still love and care for them! I love animals so much and will treat your pets like my own while you are away!

About: Hello! I’m a teacher off for the summer and my own dog passed away this year. I’m not ready to adopt a new dog yet but I miss being with them and figured this summer could be a great time to do some dog walking or dog sitting! I grew up with dogs and have had a variety of breeds, shapes, sizes over the decades. I dog-sat during college and during grad school for friends, professors, and a few strangers I connected with on an older website (I feel like it was called care-dot-com for anyone who’s old enough to remember that). As someone who is a “bit” older, I’m reliable and have very little social life!! Perfect for you and your pet! I’m also super motivated to make your dog as happy as I can! I miss that aspect of having a pet—you take care of them and they keep you sane in this crazy world. Update: During the school year, I’m most available on weekends but can of course provide care in the afternoon and evening on a school/week day… just not as much as on a weekend or holiday :) As a teacher, I’m free this summer. I have had temporary jobs in the past but don’t have anything lined up this summer! I only have 1-2 short trips planned so mostly just kicking around and working on my yard and garden! I have a wire fenced yard (not a privacy fence). It’s not the biggest but I’ve also had a smaller yard! There are neighboring dogs, as well, so keep that in mind. As mentioned, no dog at the moment. I’m very careful with dogs in terms of behavior. I was raised to understand that the person is responsible for the dog’s behavior. This means paying attention, shortening the lead when needed, helping the dog feel secure, crossing the street, etc.
