“Ellie was absolutely wonderful. She took such great care of my cats while I was away and it was clear from the start that she is not only reliable and responsible but also genuinely loves animals. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I came home to happy, relaxed cats and everything just as I left it. I would absolutely recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter. Thank you so much, Ellie.”

“Sammi is GREAT! Wonderful communication, prompt, and followed all instructions perfectly. Sammi clearly cares and I felt as thought my fur-baby was in the best hands during my last minute trip. Can’t wait to see Sammi again!”

“Stephanie took great care of my girls! She did everything I hoped she'd do while I was away and sent pictures. It was a nice peace of mind to know she was there and my cats were well cared for.”

“Michael is a dog person, but took excellent care of my three cats while we were out of town. He arrived when he said he would and followed their feeding and cleaning routine exactly as written. I wouldn’t hesitate asking him to take care of my girls again. Thank you!”

About: I’ve had experience with helping with puppies and other ages of dogs. I personally have a cat of my own and I’ve had 4 years of experience with cats. I am currently working 35-40 hours a week and I am mostly free in the afternoons and evening. I am completely free on Sundays too! I follow the care instructions outlined by the owner and treat the pets with so much love. I can play with the pets as needed!
“She took great care of my cat during check-in visits while I was out of town, gave him lots of love and made sure he was doing alright and had everything he needed so he could stay happy and healthy!”

About: I've been taking care of animals/pets for as long as I can remember and often prefer their company to people's. I've just always been able to understand them better. I'm currently in school/training to become a dog trainer, which will include K9, service/working dog, and obedience training. I've also trained my own dog to perform not just standard obedience tasks, but also service dog tasks. I love all animals and hope to help you and your furry friends I'm currently working part-time and volunteer as an EMT so my schedule is constantly changing but I am available most weekdays. Just let me know what works for you and I'll find something that works for us both! I will always respect whatever guidelines/rules a client has for me caring for their pets especially if I am in the client's home. I've been pet-sitting for close friends while they're out of town and always respect their wishes. My own dog is non-reactive and very friendly and comfortable with other dogs so if she is ever around them they will never be hurt by her. My car is already equipped to have a dog in it, I have seat belts that attach to collars/harnesses in my back seat and a towel/mat for them to lay on.
About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have raised my 13 year old dachshund and 8 year old Great Dane! I have been pet sitting for my friends and family for many years! I love all animals! I currently travel the states with my husband for his job. I am free all hours of the week. I can check on your pets or simply walk them for you! Unfortunately, we move every month so I can not do long term visits. I am honored to help out as much as I can. A pets safety is my top priority! I never let the pets out of my sight and follow all pet instructions carefully. My 13 year old dog is on several medications, so I am very particular about how someone else takes care of her. I would never want my clients to worry that their pets are not being taken care of.
“Anya was amazing with my kitten! I got so many great photos and videos and felt completely at ease my trip knowing my cat was in good hands! Anya also works with animals for a living and so for me that was a huge plus too- she is absolutely a professional and I’m excited to book her again.”

About: I take care of every dog like they’re my own - comfortable, safe, and loved. My visits are calm, caring, and tailored to your dog’s routine. You’ll get pictures and peace of mind knowing they’re content and happy. I currently work a full time job during the day and I am available for drop-in visits and walks in evenings after work and weekends/ holidays. I can do early morning drop ins before work also. I am considerate and respectful in your home and carefully follow care instructions. My goal is to make the experience happy, safe and loving for your dog.
“Keira is very responsive to sudden schedule changes. She always lets me know when there’s a change in her schedule as well. The dogs really love her which is a great sign that she treats them like her own fur babies!!”

About: I have been taking care of neighborhood pets for years. I am an approved foster for several local rescues and a volunteer dog transporter. I am familiar with most types of leashes, including gentle-leaders/head harnesses (hey- those things are tricky!). I have transported hundreds of dogs across Virginia and am very used to all size dogs and dogs with special needs. I am pet first aid certified. I have taken care of special needs cats and kittens through the SPCA and am available to administer most meds. I have a fenced-in yard and my dog is very used to a variety of dogs. She will adapt to their energy level and friendliness My immediate family lives on the same property and stops by several times a day to let the dogs out for potty breaks and exercise (only if pet parents approve). I also have indoor/outdoor cameras to check in throughout the day. I have extras crates of all sizes. I also have one Fi gps collar that is available for boarding dogs. This is a collar that alerts me if the dogs leave my fenced yard and will give me their exact GPS location at all times. It also tracks their steps, which is pretty fun to see. I am happy to share the app with you while you are away! You will receive plenty of updates and photos (unless you choose not to!). Boarding dogs may be crated during the day or may be free in our downstairs- depending on pet parent preferences. Our pets are family and are allowed on furniture, however, there are plenty of dog beds to go around. I live west of Harrisonburg and work in Charlottesville, so I am available anywhere in between, on a case-by-case basis. All dog daycare and boarding clients will need to do a meet and greet to ensure compatibility with my resident dogs (my dog is 100% dog friendly, but I typically have a foster, so I always dog test before accepting new clients). We work outside of the house Monday through Friday. We do have family on the property who let our dog out once or twice a day and will be available to do so for your pets as well if you'd like. My family are all experienced pet care givers, animal rescue transporters and approved fosters through the SPCA. I am happy to follow preferences of the pet parent. When in our home dogs may have free rein, or can be crated. I am experienced with frightened dogs, dogs who may run, senior dogs and puppies.
