About: I've had dogs from big to small, while growing up and as an adult, purebred as well as rescues. I don't have children, other pets or wall to wall carpeting. Your dog can loaf on my daybed and look at Crescent Lake, and there's a park right next door with a dog run. I'm also always happy to drive over oceanside. I've cared for senior dogs until the end. I love dogs and have a Pomweenie back in Michigan with my brother. I've had a fox terrier, 2 Maltese and a Golden. I'm a transplant with plenty of time, and I love in a beautiful country senior mobile home park on Crescent Lake. I love driving to the coast and meeting new people and dogs. I work part time from my laptop and I'm available all the time. I live alone on a lake, and it's dog heaven here. Also happy to go to your house. I live alone and have a very flexible schedule. I have plenty of energy and time to hang out with your dog and show them a good time. I need company,I love dogs, and they love me.
About: I have either owned, cared for, or rescued about every domestic and farm animal there is, as well as many wild animals. I worked as a veterinarian assistant for 4+ yrs and have been a horse horse trainer since the age of 7 and professionally most of my life. I am an entrepreneur at heart and love to take care of animals, house sit. pet sit, etc for additional income. My schedule is totally flexible! I'm an entrepreneur and I make my own schedule. Let me know when you need me and I will do my best to make it work. I live on a 6 acre farm in Bunnell. I have a lot of pets and farm animals that are all good with other animals. But if I was to care for your pets at my home then I would keep them seperated from all of my animals. I a totally seperate dog boarding area with fenced play yard. If caring for your animals at your home I will be respectful of your home and care and love on your animals while you are away.
“Great communication throughout the stay today as usual. Kizzy is happy to stay with Michelle as she enjoys playing with the kids. Michelle is very welcoming and gives me back a content and tired puppy. It eases my mind knowing she is in a safe and caring environment when she is at daycare.”

“First time Dustin was cared for by Deborah! And it was amazing! He loved being there and she enjoyed him! Thank you for taking such good care of my boy! I’ll definitely use her again.”

About: Vet assistant for 5+ years throughout NY, Aspiring vet tech taking classes online, Experienced dog walker and was an in home pet sitter prior to moving to FL. I have 4 cats. (My Chihuahua recently passed due to heart failure) I love all animals and am comfortable handling any size or shape. I prefer friendly animals (of course!) But I have dealt with aggressive dogs and succeeded in gaining their trust and building a great relationship with them. - I was the only walker, besides the business owner, who could tend to the Australian Shepherd. After figuring out how to leash him, once we got outside of his house he was a huge mush! We would picnic and exchange kisses (picture included in my photos)! As for cats... I owned an aggressive, biting cat. I don't think I could experience a worse cat. Without warning she attacked me and bit my hands, arms, and legs.. after medication with our vet she continued to live with us without incident until she passed from cancer in 2019. I love cats and would gladly check in on your cats and home while you are away: clean litter boxes, feed cats, play with them, etc. Kittens are welcome to stay at my home, but I feel adult cats would be more comfortable at their own home. I will no doubt treat your pet like my own furry family member. I can be home 99% of the time but whenever I do need to leave my husband works from home, so your pet will never be completely alone. I have a fenced in yard and live on a fairly quiet street. To ensure animals, including my own, don't get out, we typically only go through the garage so no risk of animals running out the front door.
About: I’ve had pets as long as I can remember, and wouldn’t have it any other way. They are the charm of any home!! I would be honored to watch your pet. I currently work from home and have three dogs myself. All very loved and get along great with other animals, including cats!! I am home all day every day and the dogs thrive when we have a guest pet. My house is set up to where I can divide the animals and they’d still be comfortable. I also have a very large 2 acre lot that is completely fenced in.
“Words can not express how grateful I am for finding Angel! I was so nervous to use this app because I have never done it before. However, I just got a 10-week-old puppy and he has been having separation anxiety so I need someone to watch him when I am at work. Not only was the meet and greet AMAZING but on Cooper's first day Angel had him SLEEPING in his crate for hours! He won't even stay in the crate 5 minutes with me, I literally cried tears of joy from all the progress pictures throughout the day. I am so excited to have Angel and her family in Cooper's life because we WILL BE a repeat customer for months to come. Seriously from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU Angel and your wonderful family. And to anyone reading this- if you need a dog sitter do NOT HESITATE to call Angel - she really will be the Angel that you need for your dog! A million stars ******************************”

“Danielle is the best! She truely loves spending time with your baby and Mae’s her home perfectly comfortable. I’d recommend her to anyone who wants the best care for their own baby girl or boy.”

“Deborah was a fantastic sitter for our little pup. She had great communication with updates and photos, and treated our dog with amazing care and love. She has the perfect size house and fenced yard for sitting and I will definitely be contacting her again next time i’m in the area.”

About: I grew up with dogs, after that I got my own dogs and I still own a great dog! I have always trained my dogs and I spend a lot of time walking, grooming and playing with the dog. We don't have a fenced in back yard, but we walk the dog at least 3 times a day. I have a home bakery so I am very flexible in my time. I spend a lot of time with our animals in and outside our home I spend most of my time in the living room where the pet will be. I will play with the pet and give it all of my attention. The pet will be a part of our family when it is here
“Sophie's first visit with Kat - she returned to us relaxed and happy. Kat took her for 3 walks during the day and Sophie behaved better with her than she does with us on the leash. Kat helped Sophie through a little anxiety when an unexpected thunderstorm passed through. We hadn't told her about Sophie's fear of loud noises like gunshots, fireworks, and thunder - but she knew just what to do to help calm her. We're looking forward to another visit next week and more to come. Highly recommend (and the only reason we hesitate to give a glowing recommendations is purely selfish - we don't want y'all to grab all her availability!)”

About: I have fostered and worked with rescues in Canada when I lived there. I have also been a cat and dog mom for the last 26 years. I have potty trained and fostered puppies and abused animals from different situations. I own my own home and can sit in my home or yours. I love to drive so I can also pick up or go to appointments if needed. I am retired and have all the time in the world right now to do what makes me smile! That means being an amazing loving dog and cat sitter. I get up every morning take the dogs to the dog park or a good walk We go to the beach and go on trails exploring After a fun day we usually chill out when it’s especially hot and then have a nightly walk before heading to bed. I treat my dogs like family and if in my home they will have the house as they feel comfortable. If I am in your home I will follow any instructions left to insure that they are comfortable and consistent. I own my own home and have 2 fur babies of my own. A 15 year old bichon and an 8 year old cockapoo. If your animals come to my home they will be treated just like my own family. I am available for 24 hour care as well if needed for long periods of time. I do not crate my dogs they have free run of my home and furniture.
About: For my entire life my family has owned pets of all kinds, and I have several years of experience pet sitting for friends and family. I am a full time stay-at-home mom with the knowledge and confidence to fulfill all of your pets needs! Our family pet is a golden doodle. She is super sweet and has never had a conflict with another animal. If you have a hyper pup, she would love the company! Alternatively, if you have an older pup, she will respect their boundaries. I have cared for several older dogs, including those in need of daily shots or hourly bathroom breaks over night. I am no stranger to waking up at all hours of the night to meet the needs of your pet. I do have an infant in the house, so pets must not be aggressive, and pets will not be allowed in the bedroom or on the furniture. I am a full time stay-at-home mom to the sweetest baby girl. She is still young, so we rarely leave the house. We live close to a beautiful park and will be happy to enjoy the walk with your pets as frequently as requested. I have a fenced in yard, a beautiful park to which we can walk, and I can offer food/medicine/water on the schedule which your pet requires. If food aggression is a concern, I have a room dedicated to our dog which can be used to isolate her from your pet during feedings.
“Mary did a wonderful job hosting Pepper for the day! He was very nervous after not being boarded for quite a while, but she calmed him down and sent pictures throughout the day, which was very reassuring!”

About: I began dog sitting to make my own money when I was in the fifth grade. The first two dogs I used to sit with after school everyday were two cocker spaniel rescues that began my love and appreciation for rescuing my own pets ❤️. Here at home I have a 9 year old Chiweenie and a senior mini dachshund. I grew up with a Great Dane and used to house sit with two Dobermans, however, I prefer to open my home to small or medium dogs only to keep my babies comfortable 😊. I know how difficult it is to find safe and trusted care for your pet when you need to travel for work or take a vacation, and this is why I decided to open my home to your pets, so that you can have peace of mind that your dog will be treated like family while they are here. Reach out with any questions 😊. I look forward to hosting your baby ❤️ I work in healthcare, which gives me flexible hours and full days off. On days off I am usually home doing schoolwork online. Availability will be restricted to my days off so that I am available to care for your pets needs (playing, frequent bathroom breaks, separation anxiety, etc.) I have a large fenced yard that my dogs and other dogs I have boarded love!! I have a small home that will be available to your dog to free roam, my dogs love to lay on the couches and there are plenty of blankets for the littles that like to burrow 😊. I have experience in crating dogs for the evening but it is not a requirement to stay here.
About: Hi, we’re Samantha & Joel, an experienced multi‑pet caregiver team based in De Leon Springs. We’ve been caring for pets on Rover since 2017, and what started as a side job has turned into work we feel genuinely honored to do. We know handing your keys and your animals to someone else can feel vulnerable. You’re not just paying for walks, litter scoops, or food bowls; you’re choosing who your pets will rely on when you’re not there, and that choice matters to us. Our approach stays consistent and straightforward: no rotating sitters, no rushed care, no random faces. Just familiarize people with your pets so they can get to know and trust them over time. We’re exceptionally comfortable in multi‑pet homes, mixed cat‑and‑dog households, and with anxious or sensitive animals. Between training experience and years of house sitting, we’ve cared for nervous rescues, seniors who need meds, cats who prefer slow, choice‑based interactions, and small or aquatic pets with precise routines. We meet each pet where they are, using structure, enrichment, and patience to reduce stress instead of forcing them to adapt to us. Our families tend to be easygoing, communicative people who want care that’s personal and predictable, not rushed or transactional. If that sounds like you, we’d love to set up a meet-and-greet and start building a routine for your pets. Most requested services: multi‑pet house sitting and cat‑heavy homes. We’re easygoing and communicative, and we’ll always be honest about what we can safely handle. Pet care isn’t a side job for us – it’s part of our weekly rhythm. We live in De Leon Springs and build our schedule around house sitting and drop-ins, especially for families and snowbirds who travel. When we’re caring for pets, they’re our primary focus: meals and meds on time, routines followed, and daily check-ins sent to you. This lets you enjoy your plans without wondering if anything is being rushed or forgotten. We provide a calm, training-informed environment where pets feel safe, understood, and respected. With dog-training experience, we read body language, reinforce routines, and prevent stress through structure, enrichment, and patient introductions. For cats and other species, we take a slower approach. We let them come to us, build confidence at their own pace, and feel secure through consistency. We often recommend multiple drop-ins before long trips, especially for shy or anxious pets, so we’re familiar faces before you leave. Whether we’re doing drop-ins or house sitting, we always do a final check to make sure pets are secure, litter boxes/yards are safe, and everyone has settled comfortably before bed. Safety is never rushed; it’s built through trust and repetition. 🐾 Safe, consistent care designed with training knowledge and emotional comfort in mind.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 272 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Crescent City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Crescent City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 272 sitters in Crescent City, 93% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
