About: I’ve grown up with cats my whole life and currently have a 15lb dachshund and 3 cats in the house. All are very friendly. Any animal is welcome in my home. I work in a hospital three days a week. So I have four days completely free to take care of your pets. My bestfriend lives with me as well and is always around to help. There’s always someone home. I’ve served 5 years active duty navy and currently in the reserves so I do have common sense and can read and follow directions with precision. I have a car if needed for any reason and love being outdoors as much as possible so we can always go on nice long walks. I have a huge fenced in yard so we’ll spend plenty of time in the sun.

I have two dogs myself a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle named Maxine and a 1-year-old Goldendoodle named Meeko so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. About: Hi! My name is Haleigh and I am an animal lover! I have been taking great care of other people's pets for about 10 years now, and I absolutely love doing it. I have had dogs my whole life on top of my experience pet-sitting, so I understand most of their needs and how to take exceptional care of them. About: I’m a lifelong animal lover whose always had dogs and cats throughout my childhood and adulthood. I also have professional experience working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for 70+ dogs each day. At home, we have a good sized fully fenced-in yard where your dog can run, play, and get plenty of outdoor time. I also love staying active myself, so going for walks with the dogs is one of my favorite parts of pet care. Whether your pet needs some extra playtime, a good long walk, or simply some love and companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I recently moved to North Carolina from Massachusetts with my fur babies and husband for my husband’s career and to continue his college career at UNCW. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Yes, you can find sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. Many sitters can respond to messages in under an hour.
To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
