“We were so fortunate that Amanda was available last minute for us. We traveled from Virginia to NC to visit family with our Australian shepherd mix, Josie. We had intended to take Josie on all our outings with us. It was just way too hot to keep her out all day, so we got on Rover (we have used it at home numerous times) and were lucky enough to find Amanda. Josie enjoyed playing with her children and the family pets as well. We know she was much happier there that being out in the heat all day. About: I have been around pets my whole life! I have taken care of each and every pet I’ve had. I have always had either a dog or cat in my house. And each of my family members have had pets that I have been around as well. I also use to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I cared for injured animals. I have my own mini farm, where I have pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys! So if you need any of those types of animals cared for I can do that too! I have a very flexible schedule so I basically have the whole day to come take care of any pets! I have plenty of time to come and hang out with your furry family! I have four loving dogs that get outside all day long because I have so much time during the day and a very large fenced in backyard. We go on walks all the time! We can have a pet play date if your pet likes other dogs. If you need your pet needs to crated, I can do that. If they need soothing music put on, I can do that too!
About: I have a fairly large background in animal care, it has always been a passion of mine - specifically dogs & horses. I take pride in how well I care for animals. I do not have a fenced yard yet but the dogs will be strictly supervised on a leash when outside of my home. I have 1.2 acres and a great neighborhood for walks. I am willing to make multiple visits in a day. For House Drop-Ins: Similar to above, the evening times may vary. For House Sitting: I receive my schedule weekly, so I am available for overnight at least twice a week. However, if consecutive days are needed, I will be available for morning and afternoon care, but will have to leave for work and return afterward at night. Again, this time varies, so it will be either 3-8:30/9ish that I am gone, or 4-10/11ish. I can understand if this is an issue, but am willing to walk during the day, feed, and let out for a potty break as soon as I am able. I do not accept pets in my home because of the other animals already here, but as far as in yours, I am clean, courteous, quiet, respectful, and most importantly, there to keep your pet well-cared for, entertained, and at ease.

About: I've been around well trained and untrained dogs alike for most of my life. I am capable with strong dogs, aggressive dogs, and dogs who just have tons of energy! I am currently doing gig work in the film industry, so in between gigs I have plenty of time to care for our furry friends. I care for other people's pets same as I care for mine at home. About: I love animals, I am currently going to school to become a Marine Veterinarian. I also did an Internship at an Animal Hospital for about a year and a half. I have personally been taking care of animals since I was about 14. I had a husky for almost 12 years, I had to give her baths, take her on walks, and feed her. I now have a Shih Tzu and for her, I have to take her to her hair cut appointments, her vet appointments, give her baths twice a week, walk her and feed her. I also took care of my Grandma’s cat and I had to take her to hair cut appointments, feed her, and clean her litter box. I am hardworking and also put 110% into everything I do. I am very reliable, trustworthy and I make sure everything I do is done correctly. I have also watched way more pets than what rover says I have, and about 95% of the people I dog sit for do reach back out to me to see if I can watch their pet again! I am a full time student! I havs a part-time job back in august because I wanted to take a break from pet sitting since I had been doing it continuously for so long. I still pet sit for my old clients, but am now ready to take on some new ones! I’ve realized I want to work my way back into pet sitting so I can quit my part-time job! I would prioritize the visits needed over my current job for your animal! :) I really do miss pet sitting and hope to be able to get back into it! The pets I have watched, if it’s at the owners house, or mine, they always seem very happy, and the owners are always pleased when they arrive back home! About: Growing up I lived on a livestock farm so my life for animals came natural and at a very early age. I previously worked as a Vet Tech and still currently volunteer for a local rescue, which is how I got 2 of my babies! I would love to keep your loved companions safe and comfortable while you relax on vacation or take care of business for work. I have a completely open schedule at the moment. I can do potty breaks /walks or over night stays for as long as is needed. I have a fenced in yard in a quite neighborhood. Plenty of toys and blankets for everyone and only the best quality dog food and treats. I also have two very friendly dogs of my own but could keep separate if you prefered. I have no limits for space in my house so furniture and such is fair game. I just want them to be comfortable and feel safe.
About: Updated: 09/04/2025 I’ve always owned multiple pets and have taken care of neighbor’s pets since I was 11. I’ve been working on and off through rover for about 8 years now but have much more experience pet sitting aside from rover (if you’re wondering why there are only a few recorded sits on my profile). If your animal needs special care such as medication, diaper/pad changing, extra exercise, etc, it’s no hassle at all on my end and I’m experienced with all of these and more! I’m comfortable sitting any animal and I’m comfortable with pet/house sitting that requires me to stay over at the house or visit the house. I completely understand any requirements that ensure the pet’s comfort or your peace of mind :) Feel free to ask me any questions! I care for pets in my own home which gives me more insight to both caring for the pet and understanding the perspective of an owner. This also unfortunately means I can’t board pets at my own house. About: I didn't have dogs growing up but I always pet-sat for friends and family. I have dog-sat, walked, and groomed dogs of all sizes. I also grew up riding horses so I have a ton of experience handling dogs and other animals together. My first dog was a 100 pound German shepherd/ Rottweiler mix who was my heart and soul. We lived with a big Rottweiler for a few years so I got very comfortable handling multiple large dogs on my own. Then when I got married my ex husband and I had my old dog, two pit bulls, and a cattle dog/ jack russel mix. I was there sole care taker and they taught me so much. I got divorced and it was just me and my shepherd, who sadly passed away in 2022. Fast forward to now and I have a 5 year old son and a Dalmatian/ terrier mix. We treat her as well as we treat my little boy. We recently (well in the last year) added a young female foxhound to the family. She is SO sweet and silky and has been the best addition to our mix! The past ten or so years have given me so much experience caring for multiple dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperments. I’m just super passionate about giving my animals and those I care for the absolute best care I can. It’s also given me experience administering medication, giving shots, walking multiple dogs at a time, feeding special individualized diets, taking care of a special needs dog, etc. I’m just a true animal lover :) I am currently not working so my schedule is incredibly flexible to meet your pets needs around the clock. I wake up early, let the dogs out in the backyard, feed them, let them out again. They usually play outside for a little bit before coming inside to nap. When my husband gets home we take them on walks, play in the yard, or go walk our favorite trail. Then we go home, feed dinner, and relax until bed time! At home my dog is walked Atleast three times a day, and one of those walks is always somewhere different- the beach, the park, the cross city trails, etc. When we’re hanging at home we provide lots of enrichment activities, playtime with toys, and also enjoy just snuggling on the couch. While your dog is in my care they will receive the same. We feed our dog a special diet and she requires daily allergy medication so meeting your dogs dietary and medication needs is no issue. Our dog is allowed on furniture, so as long as it is okay with you we have no problem with your pup joining us on the couch or in our bed. However if they aren’t allowed, we have multiple dog beds in each room so they can still be comfortable while we’re being lazy. Although we no longer have a fenced yard, our yard is pretty big and we take our dog out on the long lead often to sniff and play so your dog will receive lots of outside time as well.

About: I was raised around dogs, and have been taking care of them for more than 10 years. I also have experience volunteering at a dog shelter, and have no problem handling bigger dogs or cleaning up after any animals :) Currently I work with Woofies, which is very similar to Rover, just not completely independent. So technically I don’t have a primary job except this! This will probably change but if I’m successful enough you can rely on me frequently :) Always make sure they are fed and comfortable, taken out, and try to get some of their energy out so their isn’t any issues. With some of the rougher ones I’ve learned being gentle is all they need.

About: I am a certified, licensed, and insured dog trainer and the owner of Chaos To Clarity K9. I work with dogs and their families on obedience, leash skills, everyday manners, and behavior challenges. Over the years, I’ve helped friends, neighbors, and family with their pets, whether that’s walking, feeding, or just spending time with them so they feel comfortable and not alone. I’m very patient and attentive, and I naturally adjust to each pet’s energy! My goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe and loved while you’re away! I am currently a student, Army ROTC cadet, and athlete at North Carolina Central University. I am usually up really early in the morning for physical training at around 5-7am. I would love to start your animals day off with a morning walk or play session! I have a few classes M-TH and can be available depending on the time. However, I’m free all day on Fridays plus weekends. Keeping your pet safe and comfortable are my top priorities. I will not be caring for pets in my home because I am in a dorm for school, but in a clients home I always follow care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special needs. I make sure pets are supervised, secure, and in a clean environment at all times. I’m very observant to behavior and mood changes and will communicate regularly.
About: I've been around well trained and untrained dogs alike for most of my life. I am capable with strong dogs, aggressive dogs, and dogs who just have tons of energy! I am currently doing gig work in the film industry, so in between gigs I have plenty of time to care for our furry friends. I care for other people's pets same as I care for mine at home. Simple basics are essential, but the magic happens when you build a bond and enrich each other's time together.

About: I have four cats and a german shepherd. I grew up having dogs and cats my whole life. I have raised kittens and bottle fed them and have experience with small dogs and very large dogs. I currently work full time monday- friday. I am available early mornings, I have an hour lunch break, and I am available after 3pm most days! I am free all day on the weekends. I can easily travel to care for your pets and do whatever is necessary to provide proper care! I cannot bring your pets to my home however I can transport them!

About: Growing up I lived on a livestock farm so my life for animals came natural and at a very early age. I previously worked as a Vet Tech and still currently volunteer for a local rescue, which is how I got 2 of my babies! I would love to keep your loved companions safe and comfortable while you relax on vacation or take care of business for work. I have a completely open schedule at the moment. I can do potty breaks /walks or over night stays for as long as is needed. I have a fenced in yard in a quite neighborhood. Plenty of toys and blankets for everyone and only the best quality dog food and treats. I also have two very friendly dogs of my own but could keep separate if you prefered. I have no limits for space in my house so furniture and such is fair game. I just want them to be comfortable and feel safe.
About: I have worked with all kinds of dogs. My first job was at a pet resort. animals are my passion, I’m 24 and I have a 5 year old pitbull mix . About: I have trained all the dogs I ever had . I fostered and dog sit . I have lots of experience. I'm an animal lover I do work. But when I'm not working I'm spitting every living minute with animals. I love my dogs and help walk my senior neighbors dogs in the morning and when I come home at night . I do live in an apartment. And though that might be questionable we do have a lovely dog park and a wonderful area to walk the dogs around.

About: I have been around pets my whole life! I have taken care of each and every pet I’ve had. I have always had either a dog or cat in my house. And each of my family members have had pets that I have been around as well. I also use to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I cared for injured animals. I have my own mini farm, where I have pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys! So if you need any of those types of animals cared for I can do that too! I have a very flexible schedule so I basically have the whole day to come take care of any pets! I have plenty of time to come and hang out with your furry family! I have four loving dogs that get outside all day long because I have so much time during the day and a very large fenced in backyard. We go on walks all the time! We can have a pet play date if your pet likes other dogs. If you need your pet needs to crated, I can do that. If they need soothing music put on, I can do that too!
About: I have a fairly large background in animal care, it has always been a passion of mine - specifically dogs & horses. I take pride in how well I care for animals. I do not have a fenced yard yet but the dogs will be strictly supervised on a leash when outside of my home. I have 1.2 acres and a great neighborhood for walks. I will gladly work on in home manners with your dog/s while in my care as I believe training should be daily and enjoyable! I work part time and also own a photography business so my schedule is pretty flexible for dog sitting.
