About: Animal lover through and through! With a background in animal science and a lifelong passion for animals, I love caring for everything from tiny pups to big farm animals. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds and personalities as well as senior dogs who need a little extra patience and TLC. One of the best parts about caring for animals is getting to know their unique personalities and making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I understand that every pet has different needs, whether that means extra snuggles, slower walks, sticking to their usual routine, or providing gentle care for older pets. I also work from home, which gives me flexibility with my schedule and allows me to be more available for your pet’s needs throughout the day! Whether your furry friend needs extra attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, medication reminders, or simply some company while you’re away, I’m happy to work with their routine as much as possible. My goal is to make sure your pet feels right at home and receives the same love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and allows me to give your pets plenty of attention, care, and companionship! I’m happy to work with your schedule and your pets’ routines to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. When caring for your pets in your home, my goal is to keep them comfortable by following their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether that means feeding on a specific schedule, walks, playtime, crate time, medication if needed, or extra cuddles on the couch, I’m happy to follow your instructions and your pet’s usual routine. I want your pets to feel safe and at ease in their own home while you’re away, and I’m flexible to meet their individual needs and your preferences.
About: I have been a dog and cat owner for most of my life. My current fur babies include 2 dogs and a cat, so I know the attention and care needed. I have helped friends and family with their dogs over the years as well with day visits and over night stays. I currently work PRN as a nurse and typically only work a couple days out of the week, which allows me the time to do this! I prioritize safety, routine, and a calm environment when caring for pets. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions to maintain your pet’s normal schedule, including feeding times, walks, medications (if needed), and any specific household rules.
“a wonderful sitter with a great amount of care put into her work! followed care instructions perfectly. would leave my baby in her care again! good picture updates and detailed notes were left for every visit.”

“Mattie was very easy to work with - She got acquainted with each one of my dogs - she did stop a few times before to get to know each dog better - would love to have her take care of my dogs in the future - goes the extra mile to have the dogs more relaxed with spending time without me around”
About: Hi, my name is Ana! I truly believe your pet deserves to be cared for like they are part of the family. I have two dogs of my own, Ziggy and Porky, who love dogs of all sizes and even cats! They are always ready to make a new friend and have some fun. If your pet is older, more independent, or simply isn't interested in playing with other dogs, that's completely okay! Ziggy and Porky are great about giving dogs their space when they need it. I'll make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while still getting the exercise, attention, and activity that's appropriate for them. My goal is for your pet to feel at home, have fun, and receive the same patience and care I would want for my own dogs. My availability: I work 3 12 hour shifts a week I can come let your dog out and/or go for a walk, before work and after. Drop in visits: Walks: any time House sitting: any time Boarding: any time must have dog crate Ziggy, porky, and I frequently go on walks to different parks. We travel quite frequently and are always checking different areas out. If you have a preferred area we go that’s ok!
About: I have lots of experience with taking care of both cats and dogs and have been taking care of them for most of my life. I currently am a foster through the humane society and specialize in kittens and dogs. I have lots of experience in all life stages and understand the complexity that comes with each stage. I have a fenced in back yard that is perfect for dogs to play in and work from home which allows me to spend extra time with them. I currently work from home which allows me the flexibility of creating my own schedule. I am able to fit in pet care whenever throughout the week and I am able to plan accordingly around my work. I currently have a fenced in back yard that will allow the dogs to run freely without being on a lead. For my older cat clients I offer a litter box upstairs which would eliminate them from going up and down stairs as frequently. I also take my safety seriously and when walking dogs always have my cell phone readily available as well as leashed walks always.
About: Hey there! My name is Payton. I’ve had dogs my whole life and grew to appreciate the opportunity to dog-sit while in school in St. Louis, as I wasn't able to have my own. With that, all of my love for pets can go to yours! If you have an athletic or active dog, I am the host for you!!! Trips to parks (on and off leash) and running the trails will happen every day. If your dog is less active, we can bring our activity level to where your dog is most happy and comfortable. I’m the owner/chiropractor at Resilience Chiropractic & Rehab. I have tremendous flexibility in my schedule as I'm starting up my practice and would love the opportunity to spend it caring for your pets!! When visiting your home, I will make sure everything is better than when I found it. Your pet will be welcomed with a warm smile! Many snuggles, pets, and belly rubs will be shared.

I have a family dog named Splash who is my whole world, and I have recently moved away and don’t get to see her as often. I can kennel your dog or let them roam throughout the day if I’m not working from home. I will do my best to make them the most comfortable.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
