“My girl Josie had a fantastic time with Nicole; she was well-cared for, well-loved and I received daily updates and pics of all the fun she was having. I highly recommend Nicole and will certainly use her again!”

“My dog had a great time with Jennifer, Thomas and their kids. They’ shared photos of her getting petted on the couch and going on walks. She was exhausted when she came home after having had a very fun day with this lovely family.”

“Franny and her husband were absolutely wonderful!! They took extra great care of our pup! I highly recommend. It was soo convenient being right down the road from camp Pontiac, where we attended a wedding.”

“Mary and Todd did an excellent job watching my Tobi. He has separation anxiety and they took good care of him, sending pictures and updates. I will definitely use there services again.”

“Lovely experience leaving my foster pitbull with Yvette for a weekend. Right away I noted her nice calm demeanor. Maggie is a very nervous dog, but she responded well to Yvette on first meeting, so I felt good about that. Yvette also has all the needed supplies, lots of toys and a crate, which was nice because Maggie likes to have a place to feel safe when she’s nervous. I would feel very comfortable leaving Maggie with Yvette again. :)”

“Amanda watched our 2 year old Shepherd mix, Sid, one night when we needed a calm dinner out, and we couldn't have made a better decision. Her fenced in yard was a dream for our dog, and she was super accommodating and responsive with our day of request and quick meet and greet. She sent us plenty of pictures of Sid smiling and romping around, we will definitely be booking with Amanda again!”

“Nicole was fantastic! Highly recommend! She kept us up to date with pictures and text messages of how Luna was doing daily. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care she provided. 5 stars!!”

“Cipriana took excellent care of Dickie. I could feel that he connected with her right away. We had a health concern emerge during his stay, and Cipriana handled everything, including communication, very well. I would like to book with her again.”

“Jane is such a kind, honest, responsible dogsitter! Our pup Holly loved staying at her dog-friendly home. The other pups there welcomed her into the pack and Jane was communicative with messages and pictures during the weekend. We highly recommend Jane!”

“Chelsea offered her home to our pup, Sansa, and treated her like family while we traveled. She is an excellent communicator and sent plenty of updates and photos of our girl enjoying her visit. I highly recommend Chelsea for your dog boarding needs!”

“Denis wa a godsend. I was diagnosed with cancer and needed to be in city for over 3 weeks my husband wanted to stay with me. So on short notice he was able to fill in the days that friends and family could not and stayed flexiable to add additional days for me. Bella had fun and made a new friend with his dog. We will.use him again.”

“Kate has a very warm demeanor and my first impression when I brought our dog Astrid over to her house for a meet and greet before boarding, was that she would care for our dog as if she were her own. Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”

“Simon watched our little pup while we went away for the weekend. The two of them became fast buddies and we were grateful to know our little guy was with someone he was so comfortable with.”

“Marika was amazing! Feel very fortunate to have gotten her on short notice. My Viszla mix Susie loved her immediately. Marika took her on lots of walks (with tick check afterwards), sent updates, and her house/backyard space were perfect for an active breed. She went above and beyond when it came to making sure Susie was stimulated, making up little games for her to play with the squirrels and rabbits. Anytime I'm in the area I'll definitely be looking to book with Marika.”

“Alicia took such great care of our pup while we were away on vacation for a week. She kept us updated everyday with pictures and was quick to respond if we had any questions. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a rover in the area.”

About: I’ve always had pets throughout my lifetime from kitties, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, squirrels that I hand fed and set free with my father- and many more. I worked in pet stores and help foster kittens when available. 💕 Look forward to meeting you soon. I work part time as a territory supervisor, and my work is flexible. Each pet is unique to their way of being and I like to match the energy needed.

“Jen is an amazing sitter. She was super easy to communicate with. Her dogs are adorable and friendly. She gave me the exact right amount of updates during Stokli’s stay and was flexible with drop-off and pick-up. I will book her again if I get the chance!”
“Sophia is so lovely and gentle. I felt very confident that she would be a sweet caretaker for Fiona. She sent me photos and responded quickly. She was very upfront when we met about other things she would be doing while Fiona was there and I really appreciated her doing so. We were able to talk about Fiona’s needs and quirks and how best to address them for everyone’s benefit. Would definitely use her again when she’s in town!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
97% of sitters in Copake can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Copake.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
