About: I’m a caring and dependable pet sitter who loves animals and enjoys making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m experienced with animals and understand that every pet has different needs and personalities. I’m happy to provide walks, feeding, playtime, bathroom breaks, cuddles, and plenty of attention while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind. I’m available all days of the week and have a flexible schedule, so I can provide pet care during the day, evenings, and weekends. I’m also available to stay overnight when needed and can work around your pet’s routine and specific care. I prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they’re in my care. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep their routine consistent, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, food, water, and care. I’ll also keep you updated so you know your pet is safe and doing well.
“Cassy was absolutely fantastic with our boy! She was on time for every walk and stayed in communication with me for updates. I felt so at ease knowing our pup was in such good hands. Will definitely rebook. Thank you Casey!!”

“I’m so thankful Samantha was able to come help with Gracey. 7:00am is early, and Samantha was there for Gracey. The pictures were wonderful. Communication was great, and Gracey seemed happy! Thank you, Samantha!”

“Angela was a godsend when I needed a last minute sitter for my three babies. I had never left my two youngest with anyone but they loved her. She reassured me that they were doing great each time she visited. She was punctual and took wonderful care of them. I came home to happy and calm babies.”

About: I’ve taken cared for dogs since I was a kid, sat since I was a teenager, and can provide your pup with the best care possible. I know dog training basics, so can keep up any training regimen you’re working on. I’m happy to give frequent walks, and even runs for energetic pups if needed. I also don’t work a normal 9-5, so your Fido will never be along for an entire day. I work part-time early mornings, every day, so for sitting I’m never gone for more than 5 hours. For daytime services I’m available anytime after 10am. I always ensure consistent scheduling for feedings and outings. I’m always early for walks and drop-ins, so no need to worry about flakiness. Glad to adhere to any other instructions, be they training related, feeding and care, or whatever else your pup needs. For energetic pups I’m happy to go for runs as well.
“Blakely is amazing. She came to meet my girls before hand so they wouldn’t be scared when she came to look after them. The little report card that came after her visit was so informative and let me know my girls felt very comfortable with her.”
“My two puppies can be a handful and we have never left them before. I was very nervous on how they would behave, but Susannah was absolutely amazing with them! She sent me several photos, spoke to me during each drop in and let me know they were being great for her! I’m so thrilled to have found this amazing sitter for my girls! I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve owned and taken care of cats and dogs since I was a young kid! I am also currently a veterinary technician and I’m in nursing school I currently work part time and I’m part time in school to be a RN. Pet care works best for me for morning and evening drop ins to ensure pets are doing well, feeding and get some socialization if they would like it. If a pet needs to be boarded in home, I have a very friendly and easy going pittie who gets along with most dogs and 6 cats with a small fenced in yard. If a pet is boarded in home I prefer they start crates while I’m not there at work or school but I do make a mid day run home to eat lunch and let my dog and other dog outside to potty

“Felicia is the best! She took care of (& spoiled) our 3 kitties like they were her own. She sent lots of pictures & let me know how each one was doing daily. It took Felicia several visits to gain my scaredy cat's trust, but she did it. I'm so thankful we found her!”

“Isabella is a great communicator and was so good with our two very active dogs on her drop ins. She accommodated our schedule and cared for them like her own we appreciate her help!”

About: Years of experience in housepet and farm care, ranging from the biggest horse to the smallest fish. I was employed with Happy Tails Petsitting before moving out here to Lyman, where I sent clients updates every visit. Currently unemployed, will update if necessary. Animal care is my specialty, and employment options are pretty limited to me. Recommendations are much appreciated for top of the line care for others! I focus on feeding, medications, and play time for housepets, and farm animals as well. Just hit me with a list of instructions and I'll be all set!
About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for dogs of all sizes and stages of life. I have three large-breed dogs of my own, and I’ve had all three since they were puppies, so I’m comfortable with everything from puppy care and training to keeping up with the needs of large and senior dogs. I’m also a firefighter, so I’m trained to stay calm and handle unexpected situations. I’m certified in dog CPR and take your pet’s safety seriously. Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. My schedule is flexible around my 48-hour shifts at the fire department. When I’m not working, I’m available to provide dog walks and drop-ins. My flexible schedule allows me to give your pets plenty of attention and care without having to rush! I’ll keep your pet comfortable by sticking to their normal routine as much as possible. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Converse
Alex is so awesome! My cat is skeptical of most humans and can be quite feisty, but Alex was SO good with her from the first time they met. She was responsive to my cat's needs and didn't make her nervous or overwhelmed. She was great at administering meds and I felt so much more comfortable leaving for a week when I knew Alex was dropping in every day and checking on my cat - and my house! She's a true animal lover and even sent me photo updates of the bird nests on my front and back porches! I would definitely book with her again and recommend her to everyone!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
