About: I have had a love for animals since I was a little girl. I started watching dogs when I was 16 years old and never stopped ❤️ I love cats too ❤️ I'll even watch your plants too 😏💚🪴 I am: -Loving -Reliable -Intentional -Trustworthy I work a full time job in East Syracuse, Monday through Friday. During the holidays, we do get busier, so my time will be less available for pet sitting. This does not take away from the care and love I will give your fur baby. Any type of breaks I get, before and after work, I am there for your animals ❤️ Safety is my top priority when it comes to watching your animals. You will never have to worry about your fur babies when I'm around. I'm a very good communicator and will call/text if there is a concern that I have 🐾❤️

John is an excellent dog walker and care taker! Having someone come by my place that I trust is a huge relief. Even in warmer weather Benny still got outside and got great exercise. Thanks so much John!

About: I have pet sat for neighbors and family friends for years and for long periods of time. I have taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and fish. I also have experience working with reptiles and snakes as an intern for an environment education center. I took care of a box turtle, corn snake, and painted turtle. I am in college full time but am willing to watch or stop by when I am not currently taking a class. I am a junior at SUNY ESF. And have a relatively light schedule that would allow me to dedicate hours to your pet if needed. As I live in an apartment I do not have any pets nor can I board pets. However, I have my own car so I can travel to take care of pets. If you wish to have overnight care I can stay on a couch or blow up mattress by your pet for safe company.

About: I have taken care of both cats and dogs my whole life of all different breeds, tempers, ages, and energy levels. I have also taken care of fish, horses, turtles and hamsters so I am a true lover of all animals. I am currently working part-time and am a student so i have lots of gaps and free time to take care of pets from being around them frequently so as not to be left alone as well as an active routine so would include dogs in my daily walks and take the time to play with them as well as cats indoors. As an experienced owner of energetic dogs large and small, small pets (hamsters, fish, guinea pigs) and cats of all temperaments (kitten to senior) I am well versed in the necessary activities a pet needs to thrive. Not only is company, food, and bathroom breaks required but also lots of stimulation, play, long walks, and exercise so your pet can flourish.

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and genuinely love all animals. I had my first cat at age 4 and grew up with both cats and dogs. I also lived with a rescued pit bull for several years (she had a rough past and didn’t do well around other dogs), so I have some experience with anxious pups on walks. I understand how important it is to build trust and work at a pet’s pace. Whether your pet is social and playful or a bit shy and needs space, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and give them the best care possible. Even with a full-time job in finance, I make time for what matters—and for me, that includes animals. I work a standard weekday schedule, but my evenings and weekends are all open for pet care. The flexibility of my job may allow for a late morning - early afternoon check-in. Whether its a walk, evening check-in, or weekend drop-ins, I’m happy to build a schedule that fits your pet’s needs. I also spend most of my downtime at home, so if your pets need longer visits, I can give them plenty of attention and company. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and committed to keeping your pet’s routine as normal and comforting as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, medications, walking schedules, or just the way your pet likes their favorite toy tossed. I know every animal is different, and I take the time to get to know their personality and needs. If we arrange care in my home, your pet will be treated like one of my own. I have a calm, pet-friendly space and three cat companions who are used to other animals and are gentle and well-socialized. I always do a slow introduction and only bring in pets that I know will be comfortable in that environment. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, whether I’m in your home or you're trusting your pet with mine.

About: I have always been a dog lover & a cat lover! I have had dogs & cats since a child growing up.Bunnies, birds, fish, a ferret, I have adopted my dogs & cats and saved a dog, kittens and cats. My baby that I have now is my beautiful black lab named Princess Leah! Princess Leah makes me very happy everyday! I have a handsome, loving, very sweet, talkative cat named Shadow Bear who I adopted. Shadow Bear is my world too! I know I can make your dog, cat or animal happy too! I love the animal for who it is! I look at all animals needs and wants all very differently because not one has the same. We all have feelings and even our fury friends do! I will provide whatever it takes for your fur baby to be happy, comfortable and in a healthy environment. I have been pet sitting, dog walking, exercising, training, keeping your fur baby active, doing therapy with their back legs, joints and mobility, administering medicine, shots, clipped nails, cleaned ears, bathed, brushing, feeding, constantly changing water, keep hydrated, pampering and just loving your animal like he or she needs to be. I took some classes and this one I took at my vet which I was amazed because they taught me how to drain the adrenaline glands and some dogs have a severe issue with that quite often. My dog does! There are classes that you can go in and they will take the time and show you for some things. I like to to participate in these classes so I have knowledge when it comes time to if anything happens. I started dog walking at 12 years old. A long with other jobs of course throughout life. I have been pet sitting for almost 15 years. I am a full time pet sitter with all of your needs and wants for your fur baby as if your fur baby was my own! You see...... I am with my baby almost all day everyday and as you can tell this is my life. Princess Leah has been my life and is my life! Shadow Bear is too! One more thing! I love to walk, I am very cheerful and I love to talk up a storm. I always talk to my Princess Leah & Shadow Bear. I love all animals! I love people too, but let’s be honest here, not as much as my fur babies! I do not even call my dog a dog. She means that much to me! I live in a rural area and I have some land, I have my own house, I have a huge house, lots of windows, my house is cheerful, I am cheerful, I cook for my fur baby friends, Your baby will not only be loved, but cared for, well taken care of, but part of my family! I love to walk! I also love to have fun and enjoy life! Walking your angel is a joy to me!. Not only will it be their exercise, but enjoyment for your loved one! I do house sitting and cleaning too. Please call me. I am a very honest, loving, compassionate, caring person who works well with people too! I love my animals! I will board your fur babies while you are at work and I also will work around any last minute plans. I also do doggy day care, Check-in’s, Walks, Activities and more! Just drop me a message on here! Thanks! 😊 Incentives: *If you have two animals I will give you a discount on the second animal each time you board with me. For my Doggy Day Care Services if you board two animals with me on a regular basis I will give you a discount and for you boarding one animal with me for my Doggy Day Care Services I will give you a discount too. I love what I do! I love being around animals! I do this full time as my job even though it is more like a passion than a job to me. I stay at people’s houses. I travel and do pet sitting, I stay over night a lot. The most was a week that I worked for with a client and stayed at their house the whole time. I will also do day sitting or check-ins but mostly overnight and pet sitting during the day at my clients homes. Traveling is a lot and a lot of people like when you stay at their homes with their animals and care for them. The animals are safe and feel comfortable in their own environment. I make sure that all my fur babies are cared for, loved, given the attention that they need and all their needs are met. I am a traveling pet sitter now. I use to board animals in my home until I sold my house just recently. Now, I travel to my clients homes. I mostly stay overnight and for more than one day because my clients go away on vacation. I do many services for my clients. I walk your animal, feed your animal whether if it’s can food, dry food or home made food which I have made home made food for my fur babies before and still do. I administer medication to animals, groom them, brush, bathe, keep them active and help them with their mobility, Play, do fun activities with my fur babies, train, keep them busy and entertained and plenty more. I make sure your animal is well cared for, loved like he or she was my own, given the attention it needs, Be happy and even more. I go over and beyond for my fur babies and each and everyone always feels safe, comfortable, loved, happy and etc….. I have a lot of clients and some of them I care for during the Summer when they go away a lot and some of my clients I care for during the week and in wknds. I am very easy to work with because I am a good person. Good people work with good people. All my clients know how caring I am and feel good about leaving their loved ones with me.

About: I’ve taken care of family friend’s pets weeks at a time for a few years now, and I currently work in animal care and I have for over 3 years. I am currently in grad school getting my phd degree. With that being said, I have a bunch of random availability to care for your pet! I always get outside some how, so walking a dog is perfect! But don’t get me wrong, I love cats as well and could spend all day inside playing and petting a cat! I have had many different breeds of dogs throughout my life and I currently own a cat. I can crate, use gates to restrict the pet to certain rooms. I am very active so playing and going on walks is my favorite part of pet sitting!

About: Ive been around dogs my whole life. I worked at dog daycares, was a kennel tech at Petland and have years of animal sitting experience including dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens etc. I had a husky mix most recently for 8 years before she passed. ***dog must be okay with children*** I currently work evenings and am available most mornings/ days/ and late evening. Although I do not have a fully fenced in backyard, we do have a backyard, tons of parks around us, hiking trails and enclosed baseball fields. I allow doggos on my furniture and bed. I work evenings and typically 4-5 hour shifts. I usually take the dogs for a long walk or to the park prior to me going to work to make sure they’re tired/sleeping rather than bored while I’m away. I can also accommodate crating if needed. There’s a fenced in ball park down the street with plenty of side walks for walks. I allow animals on furniture and have plenty of blankets to keep them cozy.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Constantia. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Constantia.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 97% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
