Our fur goblin Vivi had a fabulous stay with Kara and her pup Doc! Vivi is an energetic gal who loves play and walks, and had a good time with the toy basket at Kara’s place. We appreciated Kara’s updates, photos, and even a video of Vivi and Doc playing together. We felt very comfortable leaving Vivi in Kara’s care.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Our two dogs were so well cared for, and it was clear they were treated with love and attention the entire time. We appreciated the daily photos and updates. It made being away so much easier. We will absolutely be booking again with Danielle

Kayla did a super job watching our two big Bernese Mountain dogs. She sent pictures of them many times when we were gone so we could see they were content and happily playing in her big yard. She even brushed them before we got home. Really went above and beyond. We highly recommend Kayla!

About: I have had and trained dogs since I was 7 years old. My first dog was a Doberman and I’ve had multiple Rottweilers since then. I’ve also trained Staffies, Doodles, Pit Bulls, Labs, GSPs, Terriers and plenty of other breeds. I showed in 4-H for 12 years with my Dobie, a Staffy, three Rottweilers, and my dad’s deaf French Bulldog that I taught hand signals to. I have also showed in Rally, Obedience, Showmanship, and Confirmation through AKC since I was 9. My last Rottweiler, “Moxie” had almost 15 AKC obedience and companion titles by the time she passed away at 5 years old from lymphoma. I really enjoy working with reactive, aggressive, or headstrong dogs that are in need of a second chance though I am happy to train just about anything! I’ve also been housesitting and pet sitting intermittently since I got my license at 16! I am somewhat starting out when it comes to board and training so I don’t have a ton of reviews or referrals but I am hoping to build them here!! I work a couple of part time jobs as a barista where I take the dogs with me! I drive a VW Jetta TDI wagon and have mastered the technique to keep the car plenty cool during my shifts and I potty the dogs every two to four hours. I go on lots of hikes, frequent the beach, and have tons of toys to play with! I only work 5-6 hours at a time so I make sure to give them the enrichment they need before or after work. I have a studio mother-in-law style house with a large fenced backyard and crates/cots inside the house. If your dog is happy go lucky and laid back, they’ll be loose when I am home but when/if I’m not home, they’ll will be crated along with my dog. The house has fabulous ventilation and hasn’t ever been too hot during the summer or too cold during the winter. My dog is a very friendly four month old Rottweiler puppy. He is proofed around other dogs, cats, and children. I also frequently watch a 9 month old Rottweiler for a friend of mine. She is also proofed, and the most friendly, playful, and patient dog I have trained. I have the facilities to keep them apart upon request and they will never be left together unattended.

Avery was so wonderful and really took the time to get to know and understand my dog Bloomy. She took her for long walks and did everything she could to make her stay comfortable. My dog has a lot of energy and can get a bit anxious being somewhere new and I know Avery handled it all very well. I felt so comfortable leaving Bloomy in her care. I will certainly request to have her watch Bloomy again!

Katrina helped me out last minute while visiting the area to hike. Between Katrina and her sisters it seemed that my chihuahuas had a lot of attention and love! My dogs weren't even in a rush to leave so I know they enjoyed their new human friends.

About: Growing up on a farm, I was around pets my whole life. I currently have a golden retriever who is 6 years old and very spoiled. We spend most of our time going on lots of walks and hiking! I would treat your pet with lots of pets and love! I work full time as a nurse, but having a few days off in the week, I thought it would be fun to walk ir board your pet. It would also give my dog, Chloe a buddy to play with. I would treat your pet with lots of walks and lots of love! And Chloe would enjoy having a friend to play with as well!

About: I’ve been around dogs, my whole life, starting with dog sitting for neighbors as a kid to now raising and training my own energetic lab/German Shepherd mix. I know how important is to trust someone with your pup and I bring that same love, attention, and structure to every dog I care for whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or quality time while your away, your dog will be in caring, capable hands. I work a full-time 8 to 5 job in Mount Vernon but I’m available for evening walks or job and visits during the week. I also have lots of flexibility on Saturdays and Sundays, so weekend care and visits are no problem. When I care for pets in your home, I do everything I can to keep the routine consistent and stress-free. I respect your space, follow your instructions closely, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away.

Shelby was awesome to work with. She was very responsive, sent a lot of updates, pictures and videos. She was flexible, even with a short notice, and willing to meet for pick-up and drop off. My 2 dogs definitely loved being with her for the back to back week long trips for work. I will surely be asking Shelby to watch my pups anytime I have to go out of town. Thank you so much Shelby!

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Concrete home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
