“My dog Jordan was well taken care of. I highly recommend Raisa for dog boarding. She let me know how my pup was doing and sent pictures. She was very kind and I am grateful to have found her. Would definitely go through her again. 10/5 stars!”

“Bev and her husband Bob are such good people. they’ve become our dogs second home when we’re away. we’re retired now and just wouldn’t be able to go and leave Lilly so having them to take care of her allows us to not worry and enjoy time away. they’re the best😘🐶”

“our Boxer Rudy had just had a procedure and needed special care and is still being house trained. Mindy was awesome. She sent us pics, video and updates of him as well as gave him his medication. She gave us tips for socializing him and was very patient with him. I can tell he had an amazing time and will definitely let Rudy board with her again.”

“Nichole took such good care of our dog, Juniper! She was so well cared for and enjoyed playing with Nichole's dog. Nichole sent lots of pictures and updates and even went as far as to clean her ears when she saw they were irritated. We could not recommend her more!”

“If I could leave 100 stars I would!!! Dana and her daughter Emma and pup Tessa were awesome with my skittish Mila. They treated Mila as their own and provided exceptional care...I was afraid she wouldn't want to come back home. Dana sent pictures of Mila enjoying to put my mind at ease. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby ❤️”

“Jodie and John were excellent with our dogs. We have an elderly dog and a dog with special needs. We couldn't have picked better people to watch our dogs while we were away. They sent pictures everyday and updates. They put meds in our elderly dog's eyes daily. Absolutely wonderful place to take your dogs to. Our dogs had the best time ever!!”

“I am beyond happy with Kelly. She took such good care of Molly. I received pictures everyday and Molly always looked so happy. Will definitely be using Kelly again to take care of Molly.”
“We took our two year old Westie to Jen and Brents for an overnight stay to see how she would do. Maggie loved being there. She was so well cared for that when we came to pick her up it was like a quick 'Hi!!' and kiss and she was off. We where curious to see how she would fair at betime but she snuggled in on their bed (although she is a 'bed hog!!!' or I say a 'pillow hog?'. but felt right at home. They spent time playing with her with her toys, making sure she had lots of outside time. Maggie loves to be outside. So we would highly recomend Jen and Brent to take care of your beloved pet anytime if you are looking for exceptional care. We will be using them again for sure.”

“Ashley and Phillip always do an amazing job taking care of Westley. He’s always so excited when he goes to their house for a visit and Ashley does a great job of sending daily updates and photos. Thank you!”

“Brittany was wonderful! She took excellent care of our dog and made sure she got a nice walk and plenty of attention. Our dog was very happy and well cared for. We would definitely recommend Brittany and will happily have her watch our dog again! 🐾❤️”

“Our dog Astro has stayed with Courtney twice now. I could tell from the start that he was very comfortable in Courtney's home. She knows so much about dogs and animals, its very reassuring. She is super accommodating for drop-offs and pickups. The first time we picked-up Astro, he didn't want to leave! After this past stay he was very tired and sleepy. We could tell he had a great time playing! We will 100% use Courtney again!”

“Genevieve and her son Alex were simply fantastic. From the initial meet and greet, and test run (night over stay to familiarize our dog with their space) they were kind, caring and very professional. Kiedis stayed for 10 days while we were on vacation and Genevieve always gave in depth updates around the stay accompanied by many photos. Kiedis is dog aggressive so they ensured that the space was safe for him, especially during walks in a dog busy neighborhood. They really care about providing the best care for the dogs they are looking after first and foremost. We will always trust our boy kiedis with Genevieve and Alex any time we have to travel.”

“Anna is an amazing lady very responsive and informative she took really good care for honey . Her cute boy pepper and honey had a wonderful time will be sure to book with her again;)”

“Samantha was incredibly hospitable, kind, and accommodating. She made everything easy and comfortable, and I really appreciated her thoughtfulness and flexibility. I’d gladly recommend her to anyone!”

“Joanne P. was absolutely incredible with our dogs, Nala and Bella. This was their first time ever being away from us for an extended period (9 days), so naturally we were a bit nervous going in. From the very first meet-and-greet, though, any worries disappeared. Nala and Bella took to Joanne right away, which told us everything we needed to know. Throughout our trip, Joanne went above and beyond. She consistently sent photos and updates, which made such a difference in helping us relax and actually enjoy our vacation. It was clear in every message and picture that our girls were not just being cared for, but genuinely loved. When we came back, Nala and Bella were happy, comfortable, and clearly had a wonderful time. It’s such a relief to know we have someone we can trust completely with them. We couldn’t recommend Joanne more highly. She is kind, attentive, communicative, and truly treats your pets like her own. We will absolutely be booking with her again.”

“Alexa and Florian were awesome with Sophia. Really took a lot of stress off of my mind knowing she was in great care. The updates were much appreciated and Sophia had a great time. Thank you so much!”

“We were traveling out of the state and needed someone to take care of our 2 dogs while away. I’ll just say Liz is truly amazing. She took very good care of them. Playing and lots of cuddles. She sent daily updates with pictures and was so attentive to them. Always mentioned how they were doing and eating. I will definitely keep her as my repeat for any future vacations. Thank you again Liz!!”

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
