April is awesome. She was easy to communicate with and asked a lot of valid questions in order to provide our dogs with the best care. The dogs enjoyed her company and she gave us peace of mind while we were away.

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs for about 2 years. I have a dog of my own she is a handful but my whole world 🥹. I would love to be of help to anyone I can. I work part time at a grocery store. I mainly work nights so I get off anywhere between 9 and 11pm. So when trying to schedule check ins I would recommend scheduling the first check in later in the morning so there is less time in between each check in. I have a fenced in yard it’s fairly large enough room to run and play if needed I feel confident in my abilities to safely get your dog in a crate

About: I’ve spent years caring for my own dogs and understand the responsibility that comes with earning a dog’s trust. Daily walks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and learning each dog’s unique personality have become part of everyday life for me. While I’m new to Rover, I’m committed to providing dependable, energetic, and personalized care for every dog I meet. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they get the exercise and attention they deserve. I’m currently available for dog walks between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM most days. But I’m open to negotiate times as needed! Whether your dog needs a quick walk, a longer adventure, or a run to burn off extra energy, I’m happy to customize every outing based on your dog’s age, fitness level, and your preferences! Your dog’s safety is always my first priority. Before every walk, I’ll make sure collars, harnesses, and leashes are secure. I’ll pay close attention to your dog’s comfort, energy level, and the weather, making sure they always have opportunities to rest and hydrate when needed. I believe every dog deserves patience, encouragement, and plenty of positive interaction. Whether your pup is energetic and adventurous or calm and curious, I’ll make sure they have a safe, enjoyable experience from start to finish. You’ll also receive photo updates after every walk because I know how much owners love seeing their best friend having fun.

Michelle was fabulous!!!' I have two dogs. She came over and did a face to face. It made me more comfortable meet her than a random walker I found on wag or another site. She provided great feedback and sent pics so I could see my fur babies

We needed someone to walk our GSD at lunchtime for us. My daughter suggested using the Rover app. We were so lucky to have found Chloe! Hey and my fur baby hit it right off. Chloe is absolutely wonderful! Very prompt and great communication ! We appreciate all she does for us and our Jameson, we asked her to dog sit as well. She loves our fur baby and she loves her too! Thank you Chloe!!!

About: I grew up with dogs as a kid. As an adult I’ve owned 2 dogs for a total of 4 years. The first I had for 3 years and had gotten him from a friend due to PCS. My current is a GSD that I got as an 8 week puppy who is currently over a year old that I trained myself. I currently work about 6-8 hours a day but have a short commute to work so if needed, I am able to check in on pets on a more frequent basis. I take my dog outdoors pretty frequently since he’s high energy whether it be on walks or for play in the yard. At least once a week, I take him somewhere public to work on his socialization and training with distractions. We train pretty frequently as well and have to say he does pretty well so if you’d like, I can assist in anything you’re trying to train. Disclaimer though, I’m not a professional trainer, only dogs I’ve trained are the ones I’ve owned. I live in a house with a pretty large fenced yard. I’m a big advocate for dogs getting activity, whether that’s physical like a walk or play outside or if it’s any kind of mental stimulation. My dog is crate trained and stays in his crate while I am not at home. I would prefer the same of your pet to ensure safety of your fur baby while I am away. Once I’m home, I allow my dog to free roam the house and will do the same for yours. My dog has been around several dogs and cats and is very friendly, social and playful, however, if needed, I have the ability to separate animals that don’t get along to ensure their safety. If there’s any questions on care I provide, please feel free to reach out! I’m pretty flexible and will do my best provide the care your pet is used to/needs.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every animal. I don’t believe in simply stopping by to feed and leave. I take the time to build trust, learn each pet’s routine, and make sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, high energy breeds, and multi pet households. I’m also comfortable caring for farm animals such as chickens, goats, rabbits, and other small livestock. Whether your pet needs an active walk, medication, extra patience, or just plenty of love and attention, I adapt my care to meet their individual needs. My goal is for you to return home to a happy, healthy pet and have complete confidence that they were treated like family every step of the way. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine, not something I try to fit in between other commitments. I intentionally schedule my day to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication, potty breaks, or simply keeping them company, I make sure their routine stays as consistent as possible. I believe consistency helps pets feel safe and comfortable, especially while their owners are away, and I always strive to provide a calm, dependable, and stress free experience for both pets and their families. Every pet has different needs, so I tailor my care to match their normal routine and your instructions. In your home, I work to keep your pet’s schedule as consistent as possible by following their feeding routine, providing exercise, playtime, potty breaks, medication if needed, and plenty of companionship. I also respect your home by keeping it clean, bringing in mail or packages if requested, watering plants, and making sure everything is secure while you’re away. When pets stay in my home, they are treated like part of the family. They receive regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, and lots of attention in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I provide updates with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for throughout their stay.

About: I love all dogs and cats of any age, and love taking care of them. I have grown up with multiple dogs and cats throughout my whole life, so I know that every single one of our fur-babies is unique and requires their own personalized care. I have great experience with disabled dogs as mine was diabetic and received two insulin shots a day for over five years. He also had a hip surgery and required extra care and love. Whether you have puppies or older dogs, I've taken care of both so I am well equipped. I am currently not working so my schedule is as flexible as you need it! I am home every day and can provide the upmost love and attention. I will be here for the holidays as well this year. I am available for at home care and my home sitting, I will make sure your fur babies are well exercised by taking your pets out for activities and keeping them entertained. I live in a nice neighborhood with a huge dog park that has enrichment/agility obstacles in it, just a short 5 minute walk from me. My dog loves it!

About: Hello everyone! My name is Ashley. I have been around dogs and cats and owned and taken care of them my whole life. I have also cared for horses, fish, geckos, turtles, and birds. I’m a huge animal lover and I have a dog who is my whole world. I will make sure your fur babies have the best care and love since I myself am a fur mom and serious about my dog and his safety and well being, as well as your pets. I will make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and that they get plenty of food, water, exercise, bathroom breaks and snuggles. I will keep you updated on how they are doing and send pictures if you would like, so you don't have to worry while being away. I know leaving your pets in a new environment can be a stressful time and I want to make sure you feel at ease while being away from them. I would love to meet and go over your pets needs and set up a plan of care that works best for you. Please feel free to message me with any questions and I look forward to hearing from you. :) I pet sit throughout the week and can on some weekends and holidays take care of your pet and their needs. I have a routine for feeding and bathroom breaks during the day. I may have other clients and could potentially have to leave occasionally to do walks or drop in visits during the day if staying at your home, or may be able to stay full time as well. I would inform you before if that is the case. I will make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I can leave tv on when away if they need. I will let them sleep with me if they are allowed on the bed and find that more comfortable.

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember and have grown up with them since I was a little girl. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me because they're truly part of the family. During high school, I regularly dog sat for neighbors, friends, and family, and I still love helping care for their pets whenever they need someone they can trust. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I make it my priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I'll treat your pet with the same love and attention I'd give my own. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to detail, and I'll always provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands!! I am currently a stay at home wife! I am in a hybrid program for school but I only go in person on Monday and Tuesday from 5:30-8:30 pm so I will have plenty of time to care and spend time with your dogs! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I understand that every pet has their own routine, so I do my best to keep them on their normal schedule for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and rest. I'll treat your home with the utmost respect and keep it clean and secure while I'm there. I'll make sure your pet always has fresh water, plenty of love and attention, and a safe environment. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for while you're away. I'm attentive to details, follow any instructions you provide, and will always make your pet's well-being my number one priority.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 563 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Comfort. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Comfort. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Comfort.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Comfort. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
