“We were very happy to have Amelia check in on our two dogs while we were away for a week. We asked her to come mid-day to walk them because my son didn't get home til late. She added daily pictures and gave me updates, also answered any of my questions right away. She was always punctual and reliable. I would hire her again!”

“This was my first time using Rover for my dog, I was a little nervous about my dog not being cared for by family. But Isabel was so kind and friendly. She sent me messages and pictures of my Oliver when I was away. I was so impressed by this service. I know my dog is a handful but he seemed very happy the whole weekend. I will absolutely recommend Isabel!! I hope she is available to help next time I am out of town. Thank you so much Isabel!!!”

She did need a reminder on the night of the last drop in visit booked, but was responsive and apologetic for not stopping by yet that day. She immediately headed over too.”

About: Hi! I’m Renee. If you are looking for more than just a dog sitter, you are in the right place. I am a Veterinarian graduated from Mexico with 9 years of experience. While I do not hold an official license to practice clinical medicine, perform surgeries, or prescribe medications here in the United States, my medical background means your pet will receive the safest, most knowledgeable care possible. What I offer: *Puppy Care Specialist: I know how fragile 2-month-old puppies are. I design strict potty training schedules, enforce safe socialization, and keep them mentally stimulated without risking their health. *Special Needs & Senior Care: I am fully qualified to administer oral medications, monitor chronic conditions, and handle senior pets with mobility issues with extreme gentleness. *A Safe Environment: My apartment is a pet-proofed, cozy home. I focus on high-quality, closely supervised care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my absolute priorities. You will receive frequent updates, photos, and the peace of mind that a veterinary professional is watching over your furry family member! I work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate my time, play, and care to your pets. I am fully available for boarding on weekends, and Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 AM. Your pet will rarely be left alone! My apartment building features spacious, secure green areas perfect for your pet to exercise and play. About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover who has been around pets my entire life. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I've been dog sitting for ten years. During that time, I've cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes daily walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, administering medications when needed, overnight stays, and extended care for a week or longer while families are away. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're gone. Whether your dog needs an energetic walking buddy, a dependable sitter for a quick check-in, or someone to provide attentive care during a longer vacation, you can count on me. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and updates so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am currently enrolled in an online graduate program, so I am available at any time you will need care for your pet, any day, night, week, or weekend! Initial Consultation: Before the pet owner leaves, I arrange a meeting to get acquainted with the dog and discuss their routine, dietary needs, medical history, and any specific instructions or concerns the owner might have. Establish Routine: Dogs thrive on routine, so I maintain consistency with feeding times, walks, playtime, and rest periods to ensure they feel secure and settled. Exercise and Play: Regular exercise is vital for a dog's physical and mental well-being. I schedule daily walks, engaging games, and interactive toys to keep them active and entertained. Nutritious Meals: Following the owner's guidelines, I provide balanced and timely meals, ensuring the dog receives proper nutrition. I also monitor their water intake to keep them hydrated. Safe Environment: I dog-proof the indoor and outdoor areas to prevent accidents or injuries. Hazardous items are kept out of reach, and I supervise the dog closely, especially if they're exploring new surroundings.

About: I grew up taking care of cats and dogs indoor and outdoor. I'm currently a certified veterinary technician at a general practice but have worked in emergency and specialty services. I have a history of having elderly pets who are in need of daily injections and medication and I'm very comfortable with administering both. I'm very flexible when it comes to payments an hours. I do work Monday through Saturday but I'm off every other Wednesday and Saturday. If possible I will take the first day off of a stay to make sure that pets are comfortable and we get to know each other. I do also like to meet pets ahead of time just to make sure that they feel comfortable with me and I feel comfortable with them. I currently work Monday through Friday and I'm off every other Wednesday and Saturday. The latest I would work would be Monday and Friday which is until 6:00 p.m. I however do usually take the first Monday off that I'm going to be taking care of your pet to make sure that they're comfortable and reduces the amount of time that they are alone. I will do not pet sit at my home but at clients home pets are front and center. Weather permitting we do outside play time and or walks. If owners allow I will bring puzzle treats as to keep pets stimulated even if the weather is less than ideal. I make sure I meet with owners ahead of time to make sure I understand it's schedules regiments and the do's and don'ts around making pets feel comfortable in their own home while their parents are away.

About: I’ve taken care of big dogs my whole life, since I was about 5 or 6. I also have a 13 pound chihuahua and he’s a little yappy at times. I am available Fridays from 3-10, Saturdays 11am-3pm, and Sundays 11am-3pm. I charge $20 per walk. The puppy parents then can choose how long of a walk they want. I have a fenced in yard and 3 dogs but for whatever reason the dogs don’t get along I will be happy to put my pets in the house.

About: I've had a love/passion for dogs since I was born into this life. Growing up, I've always had a dog in the house, so it easily became the norm for me. I have experience with a wide variety of breeds, including doberman, pitbulls, great dane, labs, boxers, beagles, and mutts. I truly love them all. I'm open to taking care of all breeds. I don't discriminate! One thing I will note is that I specialize in high energy/working dogs and am very familiar with larger breeds. Just to give you a quick example, I raised a Doberman from a puppy which led to me learning A LOT throughout the process. Doberman are a working breed and require plenty of mental and physical stimulation & I think I cracked the code! I’ve developed a deep understanding of what high-energy dogs need to thrive. I'm good at stimulating their minds, keeping them active and most importantly, happy. I'm not a certified dog trainer, but I do understand the importance of balancing their physical and mental well-being, and I'm dedicated to ensuring each dog has a great time with me! I'm very engaging and mindful, so whatever your dog may need, whether it's staying active outside or relaxing at home, I will do my best to provide. That's a promise. When it comes to availability, I am free at the moment. You can contact me any time and I will get back to you asap. I will make sure you feel comfortable with leaving your pets with me. To ensure you of this, I will send you daily photos & videos to show you how good of a time they're having! Also, you can give me a call ANYTIME. I know what it's like to drop my dogs off at a pet sitter's house, so my job is to give you the relief of knowing that your pets are in great hands. I can guarantee you this🙂

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Colvin Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
