“She did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs. This was our first time using Rover for dog sitting and we wer blown away by Makayla's care. She went above and beyond what we expected and we are very greatful for everything She did to make sure our pups were cared for. Thank you again. We will definitely be using her for any other trips in the future.”

“Kayla was great. She responded quickly to my messages and did everything we asked. She sent me pics of my babies, which helped me know they were ok and being taken care of. We will definitely book her again when we travel.”

“I highly recommend Madison and Joshua. I needed cat sitters every other day for a month, and they were wonderful to work with throughout. One or both of them would visit for a half hour, taking care of litter boxes, food, and water, feeding the fish, and pulling in any mail or packages for me. I loved getting the photos in the 'report card' after each visit, and knowing the cats had consistent visitors who cared while I was gone. I will hire them anytime I'm traveling!”

About: As a long time pet owner, I have first hand experience with caring for different animals. From puppies to cats to dogs, I am fully equipped to not only safely supervise pets, but to also play and engage with them for a fun and loving experience. I have been the mama to the sweetest stray male tabby for the past year so I have tons of experience with cats and kittens too! As a previous owner of a disabled doggo, I have developed patience and determination when it comes to caring for pets. For example, I am unlike many other owners in that I am understanding when it comes to dogs who are in the process of being house trained. I won’t reprimand the animal in a harmful or scary way. Instead. I will guide them toward better potty training practices. I am also a very patient dog walker, some pets take longer outside or simply want to explore an area. Pets have a natural curiosity and they should be able to act on that curiosity! I care for pets as if they were all my own. It is very important for owners to trust their animal caretakers. I can assure that owners can trust that I will care for their pets with love and kindness. Thank you for choosing me to be your rover caretaker! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
