“Our Rusty will not go to many people but on our meet & greet he went right to Lorraine and her husband we knew he had trust in them and that made us very comfortable. He also buddied right up to Koko. On his stay with Lorraine we found that she responded to us instantly with a text when we checked in on him. We feel that it was a very good decision to pick Lorraine as Rusty's sitter and have already scheduled another long weekend with her.”

“Megan and her family treated our pups like family. We did a meet and greet prior to boarding, and provided her with all of the information on our senior dog, and 6 month old puppy. One is very high energy, the other is not and takes meds daily. Throughout the two day stay, she consistently provided updates with pictures and videos. I would absolutely recommend Megan and will plan to call her again in the future, as needed.”

“Christy was awesome! She was very friendly and welcoming and sent me lots of pictures of our pup during his stay! We will defiantly be using her again and would highly recommend her services!”

About: Hi! My name is Joan. I am recently retired and live on a farm. I have had dogs most of my life and have felt the passion to start dog sitting after losing our 15 yr old beloved dog fairly recently. I sure miss having furry four legged ones around to share my love for dogs, and want to be able to love on yours as I would my own. Having used Rover many times in the past for our own dog over the years, I know how very important it is to find someone you know you can trust to love & care for your pup, that perfect place that you won’t have to worry about them while you hoomans are away, that would be Me! I live on a farm with lots of acreage for running and playing. I also have experience with administering medications if needed. I want to make a worry free home away from home experience for your best friend(s) while mom & dad are away. With being retired, and pretty much a homebody, I will make sure that I will be home at all times to care for your pup. Potty breaks and play time will be frequent, with living on a farm we will be sure and have plenty of walking and running space for your pup. I live on a tucked off the road farm with plenty of acreage to run and play. Our farm is not a working farm, meaning we have no farm animals on the property. I have never crated any of my dogs, therefore I would not be crating yours unless of course you ask me to and provide the crate.

“Hailey did an amazing job with Kylo. We were worried about leaving him since he has never been to a new place with us. She did such a great job with him and sent us photos of his stay. He felt we didn't have to worry at all. We are so happy we chose Hailey to watch our family member. We recommend her to anyone who wants to feel carefree when they have to leave their pet behind.”

“Laura always takes the best care of our coco. We are so happy to have her as our go to dog sitter, especially when we are traveling out of town for multiple days at a time! Thanks again for your flexibility Laura!”

“Deirdre was amazing. We had a fairly last minute booking and she was able to accommodate our 3 dogs of different energy levels, food, medications, etc. One of our dogs can be a little reactionary but not with Deirdre. Wonderful space and a great yard for them to play in. The dogs came back tired and I swear, a little better behaved, but maybe that was the exhaustion of playing. Would definitely book again and is now our first choice going forward.”

“David is very awesome, had a great time with my dog and my dog had a great time with him, plus he is an amazing photographer. The pictures he took and sent to me from his stay are truly beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful memories.”

“We found Melinda to board my mom's Jack Russell days before Christmas and she was a godsend! We were nervous as this was the first time her dog has stayed with a boarder EVER, but Melinda was kind, welcoming warm and patient with our pup and the whole stay ended up better than we all could have imagined! We will use Melinda again and again!”

“I was looking for a last minute sitter and my coworker told me about Rover. I found Debbie and Phil on the app and got a quick response. We did a meet and greet two days later and I was blown away by the size of the yard (all fenced in). For the price of a kennel, Debbie and Phil took amazing care of my Australian Shepard. They sent me daily pictures and videos and my dog Daisy had a blast running around with their other dogs. Skip the kennel, these guys are great! Your dog will thank you. Thanks Phil and Debbie.”

“Tiffany was great! She had a huge backyard my doggo could run all around in. She sent lots of pictures of my dog and they clearly showed my dog enjoying herself. She was very communicative and quick to respond. Would highly recommend her and hope to book with her in the future!”

“Goose had the time of her life. Made friends with another dog, a cat, and a pig named Penny! Deanna was awesome and gave us updates everyday with photos. She made my first time using Rover a great one! She made us feel comfortable and Goose was in very good hands!”

“Johanny was so nice & welcomed me into her beautiful home. Was definitely a pleasure to meet her and to take good care of my little Coco. She sent me pictures & updates on how Coco was doing. I recommend her to anyone looking for a good dog sitter. I will be using her again when I need to.”

“I have never met a dog sitter as kind, loving, wise, and experienced in providing the very best care for dogs as Yoko. She treats people with the same warmth and kindness as well. Her husband is also a truly wonderful person. They took care of our elderly dog, and when his condition suddenly worsened, they gave him the most attentive and compassionate care without ever sparing their time or effort. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful that we entrusted our beloved dog to Yoko. Yoko and your husband, thank you so very much.”

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
