“As always Laura does an excellent job with our girl, she's always so happy to go in the mornings and is a happy puppy when we pick her up in the afternoon. She gets plenty of exercise and Laura gets plenty of entertainment out of her.”

“Blondie stayed over at Jane’s for daycare and I could tell they spend a lot of time with the dogs. Jane was very flexible with pick up and drop off times which I appreciated and Jane kept me updated with photos during the stay. Next time I’m gone for many hours and I need a Baytown dog sitter, I will be calling Jane! Thank you for taking care of Blondie.”
“Luna had a great time playing at Sarah's. I really enjoyed reading the notes at the end of each day where Sarah told me about all the fun things that Luna got to do and new friends she was making. Will definitely book again.”

“This was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving our dog with someone we didn’t know. As you can imagine we were a bit anxious. Namita and Sean did everything right to alleviate our concerns. They were super responsive to all communication, arranged a meet and greet so everyone (humans and dogs :)) could be introduced before the day of our trip, and sent great updates w/pictures while we were away. Great experience all around. We will definitely trust our dog with them in the future.”

“Dejé a Valentino de 6 meses por primera vez con Rosa por tres dias y Ella supo darle todo el amor y cariño para que se sintiera bien, incluso tuvo que dar de comer con su mano para que no dejara de alimentarse. Nos enviaba fotos y videos y estuvimos viendo como se comportaba, definitivamente lo volveré a dejar cuando lo necesite, y si quieres dejar tu mascota en buenas manos, déjalo con Rosa”

I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs and love both! I also know how to administer medicine and have potty trained in the past. I understand the anxiety and fear that comes with trusting a stranger to care for and love your dog as you would. This is why I am committed to ensuring your pet enjoys their time with me and is as comfortable as possible. As I have 2 sweet doggies of my own, I will not accept any booking request without first doing a meet and greet to ensure we are a good match for you and your pet. I stay at home full time, which allows me to spend plenty of time to play and entertain pups! My schedule is extremely flexible. Sundays are my most busy days as I am heavily involved with my church. However, I can work my day around your pet’s needs if necessary. My home has a yard that is fenced in. I take safety very seriously and would never allow my pets or any pet I’m caring for to be put in harms way. I am your pets advocate while they are in my care. Dogs will only be off leash in the safety of my home and fenced yard, otherwise they will be leashed. Pets will not leave my home unless I’ve received verbal or written approval from the owner. I send multiple pictures a day for peace of mind in knowing your pet is content in my care.

About: I’ve had animals around me basically my whole life. Right now I have 2 dogs, Kiki and Chloe, but growing up there were always pets in my home. I’ve also helped take care of pets for family friends, so being around animals has always been a normal part of my life. I love dogs of all ages, especially puppies and senior dogs. I know every pet is different and has their own personality, so I always try to make them feel comfortable and loved. What makes me different is that I genuinely love doing this. For me it’s not just about making money. Of course getting paid is nice, but I really enjoy spending time with animals and taking care of them. I treat every pet like they’re my own and give them all the attention, patience, and love they deserve. Right now I’m on summer break and have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available most days and at different times throughout the day. I’ll be starting college in August, but my schedule will still be pretty flexible. I’m available for walks, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, and just keeping your pet company. About: I have taken care of large to small size dogs since I was young as my brother had boxers and now has miniature schnauzers. I have fed, bathed, walked, played with, and groomed my dogs and my families fur babies. My schedule changes every week but I’m always willing to change up my schedule if needed. I have most evenings free and work close from home so I stop by during my lunch breaks to check on my fur baby. My dog is potty trained and mildly social, meaning that she will approach dogs but has never bitten or been aggressive and minds her own business. However, if a client feels more comfortable I can crate my dog for the comfort of the client and their pet.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
