About: I am retired and have recently relocated to northern jersey. I am an avid animal lover. I have always had my own pets. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my fur baby of 13 1/2 years and am not quite ready to adopt at this time but sincerely miss having an animal in my life. I am helping to care for a dear friend’s cat and although truthfully I am more a "dog" person, I now find myself beginning to appreciate "cats”. Cats are really fascinating (and a lot different) than dogs. I believe that I am a person who you can trust with one of your most prized possessions, your "fur-babies". I love walking, so dog walking is a win win!! Drop in visits are also no problem!! Unfortunately. I am unable to offer pet sitting at this time. I love to walk and especially enjoy walking for a furry companion. Home visits for either dogs and cats are also something I enjoy doing. I am currently unavailable for pet sitting. However, I do prefer walking small or medium dogs and will give them the exercise and/or company they need.

“Lauren was wonderful with our 4 cats. I would definitely recommend her as a pet sitter and will be asking her to drop in daily for us again. Our oldest cat required medicine in her food which Lauren was no stranger to, as she has done that with her own animals. The most timid of our cats came out for head scratches by the end of the 5 days - a sure sign that she is gentle and knows animals. She was also able to drop in around the same time each day, which was important for the cat that needed medication and was good for the animals. They are probably less anxious with a routine visiting time. 2 thumbs up!”

“Tatyana took care of my 5 cats while I was away for 3 weeks. She did daily visits, fed them and cleaned after the cats like a pro. She sent pictures daily and reported about each cat one by one: their mood, behavior and eating habits. She was quick with replying back every time I reached out to her. I recommend her 10 out of 10.”

“Andrea was very easy to work and communicate with through the whole process, and put us at ease for our first time using Rover. She sent great photos and didn’t mind the occasional love bites one of our cats tends to give.”

“Chelsea is truly exceptional! She took excellent photos of our cats and they loved her! We returned from our vacation to our cats being totally stress free, which we contribute to the great care of Chelsea. We are lucky to have found her!”

“Maia takes such good care of our kitties! We feel very comfortable knowing that she is checking in on our place while she’s away. Thank you Maia!”

“Rebecca was amazing! My cat can be anxious around strangers, and I was super nervous using rover for the first time, but she was so fantastic (with both of us). I couldn’t have asked for someone better. I will definitely be going back to Rebecca anytime I need someone to drop in my cat.”

“Jenn was great. She met with me before hand to go over everything and was incredibly friendly. She kept me updated on my two cats and sent photos every single time. Love her !”

“Alina was fantastic. I'm so happy I found her. She stepped in to take care of 2 cats 2 times a day for over 2 weeks on pretty short notice. Communication wasn't easy since I'm overseas in a different time zone but it worked. I loved getting her pics and notes everyday, seeing how well she cared for Tara and Kora. She obviously loves cats and I was thrilled to see how comfortable and happy they were with her. She went above and beyond for me and them. I highly recommend Alina and won't hesitate to book her again.”

About: Animals are the center of my universe. I grew up with animals of all kinds; cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, birds, fish, ferrets. I’m currently a mom to a female golden retriever, two beautiful ferret daughters and a baby boy bird. I hope to retire one day and own an animal rescue farm. I believe it is our job as humans to give all sentient beings the absolute best love and care and to make sure they feel safe. I am keen to make sure wildlife is safe wherever possible. I’ll pull over on the side of the road to help turtles cross to the other side of the reservoir. On a daily basis I will prioritize every animal from the moment I wake up. I can and will do it all. Feeding, cleaning, walking, playing, giving them love and attention. As I mentioned above, animals are the center of my universe. I want each and every animal to trust me and feel safe with me while under my care.

“Jenny was an absolute delight as a cat sitter for Ms. Chunky! From the start, she was professional, communicative, and genuinely caring. She took the time to meet us beforehand and made sure she understood Chunky's needs and quirks. Throughout her visits, Jenny kept me updated with timely messages, fun photos, and sweet little anecdotes about their budding friendship (which I'm convinced is now lifelong). Her attention to detail was fantastic—she even went above and beyond by checking on a package for me. It was clear she genuinely cared for Chunky, treating her like royalty with treats and affection. Jenny's reliability and warm demeanor made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and fun sitter for their furry family members. Thank you, Jenny!”

“Erick was great. His communication was exceptional and he really took the time to understand the layout of our house and our pets routine. His updates were very thoughtful and we appreciated the pictures he sent. Would recommend!”

About: I’m a recent college graduate with degrees in Education and History, and I’ll be starting my career as a teacher this September. For the I’m looking for meaningful summer work—and what could be better than spending time with animals! I’ve been caring for both my own pets and others’ for over 8 years, and I bring the same level of responsibility and attention to detail to pet sitting as I do to the classroom. I’m punctual, dependable, and full of energy—whether your pet needs long walks, playtime at the park, or just some extra love and attention, I’m happy to provide it. I’m also experienced with a wide range of pet needs, including puppies. I am available Monday - Thursday (after 2:30) as well as Fridays and weekends (any time)! I begin teaching high school in September and availability will differ. In my own home, I spoil my little babies 🥰 I feed my cats dry food twice a day, stock their water fountain with water, keep the dry food stocked, and clean their litter boxes. I give them outside time as long as they stay close or just have the back screen door open to let them see, smell, and hear the nature. Occasionally, I will take them in walks in the kitty stroller with the dog on the leash. When taking care of other people’s cats, I treat them with the same love I would my own. I am happy to care for them in all the same ways, including spending time with them, not just running in and out to feed and clean. I also usually provide photo updates. I take care of my dog by feeding him dry food, letting him out every three hours, taking him on walks as often as possible, giving him snuggles, playing fetch, giving treats, etc. so pretty much treat my dog like a king. I am happy to do the same for you!

Lynda L.
“I have known Lynda a long time. We call her “Ellie Mae Clampett”. She is truly the most involved caregiver for animals I have yet to encounter in my 60+ years. Lynda has taken care of our 2 golden retrievers until these two dogs were 16 and 17 years old. She frequently involved herself with our English Shepard and now with our newer golden. A dedicated animal lover to the core. Lynda has also cared for an Eclectus parrot that was in our home for several years. That bird was very hard for anyone to get close to…Lynda did and handled him easily and with his permission. If there is anyone I would have in my home to responsibly take care of my animals…Lynda is a first choice always. Trustworthy and sincere should be her middle names.”
