About: Hi! I’m Corey — a pet-loving guy who truly understands how deeply animals become family. I’ve spent the last 15 years caring for dogs, including two beloved seniors who recently passed in 2021 and 2025. Betty, an English Bulldog who was “thicker than a bowl of oatmeal,” and Sadie, my blue-tick coonhound/beagle mix who was a true treat connoisseur with a heart of gold. Losing them has been incredibly hard… but also a powerful reminder of just how special the bond with a pet really is. Caring for other people’s pets has become a form of healing and therapy for me. I miss the snoring, the wagging tails, the playtime, and the pure happiness a dog brings into a home. Being around animals fills me with joy, and I pour that love right back into the pups I watch. About: I have two dogs of my own. Both are very friendly and get along with other dogs. They have been to the dog park multiple times. I am home most weekends, evenings, and throughout the day on weekdays. I will treat your dogs like my own. I have flexible rates if you need me to watch more than 1 of your dogs. I have flexible rates if you need them watched for an extended amount of time. I have a son who has been raised with dogs since birth so he will treat them well and is not afraid of dogs at all. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to helping care for your fur baby. I am available mornings, evenings, and weekends. I also have experience caring for a dog with seizures who requires medication, so I’m confident with administering meds and supporting pets with special routines or extra care needs. In addition to my own pets, I’ve regularly helped neighbors and friends with pet sitting and daily care. I’m attentive, calm, and safety-focused, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also groom and bathe my own dogs, and while full grooming isn’t typically part of my services, I’m absolutely willing to help if an urgent situation arises. I’m self-employed and work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate a wide range of needs. I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks and check-ins, including hourly relief when needed, and I can do multiple drop-ins throughout the day. Because I’m home often, I’m also able to give pets consistent attention, supervision, and routine support. Care looks a little different depending on whether I’m in your home or mine, but my top priorities are always safety, routine, and clear communication. I expect to communicate frequently during your pet's visit with me. In my home: For daycare or boarding, I require that dogs are crate trained, since dogs will be crated overnight and anytime I’m not home. I also require up-to-date vaccine records to keep everyone safe. I have two dogs of my own, so I carefully monitor introductions and compatibility. We do have a yard, but it is not fenced, so all outdoor time is supervised and on-leash. In your home: During our meet & greet, we’ll go over your pet’s routine in detail (feeding, potty breaks, walks, medication, etc.). I ask that any important care instructions are also listed in your pet’s Rover profile in writing, so everything is clear and consistent. I’m happy to follow your household routines as close as possible during the visit.
