“Linda was great! Typically when I return from being away, Jax has severe separation anxiety but his demeanor was completely different when I returned. He was happy to see me but I could tell he was well loved while I was gone. That is the most important aspect I look for when using a care giver. My bonus was the house was spotless. I will be using Linda as often as I can get her.”
“Lori was awesome with our golden retrievers. She walked them, kept them busy, and was very flexible with some schedule changes. In addition, she even cleaned up around the house. Our dogs were happy with her and she kept us updated with photos and txt messages. We highly recommend her!!!”
“Liza took wonderful care of our dog. She was on time, easy to communicate with and sent photos every day. She asked good questions during our meet and greet and followed through with all the instructions beautifully. She left the house in perfect shape after staying over. I would highly recommend Liza!”

“Holly was absolutely amazing with dogsitting my shy dachshund Rudy while I was away. She was so thoughtful and communicative. Could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much Holly! Highly recommend her.”

“Carlee took excellent care of our two dogs! She was super responsive and thoughtful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would be happy to have her stay with our dogs again - they were living their best lives with her 😊”

“Georgina is a fantastic dog/house sitter. She took amazing care of our little chihuahua. He warmed up quickly to Georgina and she sent me lots of photos and updates, which I appreciated! I could tell he was well taken care of while we were gone! She also kept the house clean and went above and beyond and washed the sheets at the end of her stay. I will definitely book Georgina again in the future!!”

“Reid was great! He took the time to do a meet and greet prior to watching Dale, which I really appreciated. Our home was clean when we got back from being gone for two weeks. He sent photos of Dale and updated me often. Thanks again Reid! Definitely recommend and will use his services again.”

“Elise did a good job of taking care of our house and our pets while we were out of town for two weeks. She was quick to respond to communications, followed instructions, respected our house, and left everything the way it was before we left. The pets didn't even act like they missed us that much, which is a big complement. Thanks!”

About: I grew up in a house of animals. We had 2 dogs, 3 cats, 5 chickens, lizards, snakes, birds and more. I understand the importance of cleaning, feeding and spending time with pets. I especially love cats but love getting to go on walks with a dog and play with them :) I am a student and have a part time job. I often have times in the mornings and day and can find some time at night. I stick with a clients wants and needs and follow what they ask of me. I have a vehicle and can take a dog some where for a hike, also in case of an emergency can transport.
“I couldn't recommend Haley highly enough. It's hard to find people you trust and can rely on - and with Haley you get both. (Plus daily photos and great communication.) She's one of the only people we will have watch our dogs. We appreciate you!”

About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life, I have even helped rescue a few dogs! I have experience in dog and house sitting. I am working part time currently so I have plenty of time to take care of pets. I am trying to get 10k steps everyday so being able to walk dogs will make it 100x more enjoyable. I make sure dogs are comfortable with my presence and are able to relax as if they were with their owners still. I make sure to follow instructions that are provided for the best experience possible.

“Eliza is our new favorite sitter! She did an excellent job caring for my reactive/anxious pup, was very communicative, and left the house even better than when she arrived. Would highly recommend Eliza to other pet parents!”

“Cam did a great job taking care of my cat and watching my house while I was gone for about a week. He left the house clean and everything was in good shape when I came home. His daily text updates with photos of my cat was really appreciated and made me rest easy so I could better enjoy my vacation. I strongly recommend Cam and plan to rebook with him next time.”

I care deeply about my dog and his safety as I would for any other dog. We live on about 25 acres so he has lots of room to run around which he loves.

About: As a former veterinary receptionist, I have extensive knowledge of animal health care and am prepared to administer medication and treat minor wounds. I have also worked as a professional dog hiker. In this role I walked up to 8 dogs of various sizes in the mountains near Victoria, BC, Canada. Through this role, I gained extensive experience as an obedience trainer. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes, as well as cats, birds and reptiles. I have been taking care of animals my entire life. I was the owner of an adorable labradoodle named Max, who passed away in 2020. Since then, I have been a reliable dog and cat sitter for many friends, family and neighbors. I am currently a graduate student in the Environmental Philosophy program at the University of Montana. I only have 13 hours of class a week, which gives me plenty of free time to stay at home with your animals and go on many walks. I do not have class Friday-Sunday and am available for full-time care on these days as well as all evenings. I am also able to leave campus in between classes for walks. As I am not permitted to have animals at my current home, I am extremely eager to house-sit or drop in to your home to care for your pets. As a former veterinary receptionist, I can ensure a safe environment for you pets and am prepared to care for them in the case of a medical emergency. As a former professional dog walker, I am also eager to drive to your home to pick up your dog for a big mountain hike or a simple walk around the neighborhood.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clinton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clinton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clinton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clinton. On Rover:

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
