“Alysha was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Gucci. She was extremely patient, kind, and attentive, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Gucci takes a little while to warm up to new people, but she took the time to make him feel comfortable and cared for. It was clear that she genuinely loves dogs and treats them with compassion. I am so grateful for the excellent care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated sitter.”

“Ms. Susan has been keeping my Bugsy for awhile now but this was this last stay was the longest hes ever stayed anywhere and of course I missed him but was never worried! She sent daily pics and updates. 5 stars every time!!!”

“Roger is really the best! Super accommodating and you can tell he really loves your fur baby! Duke had the best time. My second time booking with Roger- and I think Duke has found his favorite sitter.”

“I boarded my dog with Megan & Jaime for the weekend, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was warm and welcoming, and she made my dog, Taj, feel right at home. Her house is beautiful and has a huge fenced-in yard—perfect for dogs to play and relax safely. She even sent me a photo of Taj lounging in the yard, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. Taj even came home with a new toy! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving place to board their dog!”

About: I’ve had multiple dogs growing up as well as lots of other animals! I often dog sit for my siblings and love having them. I like my home to feel like their home with little adjustment. I work at 5 am and come home for lunch and am back home by 12 and am home for the rest of the night. I live right by my job and they are very flexible with me. I love being home in the evenings and having someone to take walks with is ideal! My apartment is open to pets, furniture included unless specified. I will happily keep pets off your furniture if needed. I take regular walks with a leash for exercise to make up for the lack of hard at my house.
“Candy was absoultely fabulous with Cody and was a treasure to find. Cody had never been left with anyone besides family and very close friends that know him. I am very selective about this. Candy readily agreed to a meet and greet to make sure it was a good match. Cody was right at home the minute he was let out of the car, especially when he saw the Bayou. It was very hot the week that Cody was staying with Candy; she still found ways to entertain and make comfortable Cody and his new friends. Cody is a major water dog and really enjoyed his time in the Bayou, not to mention the boat ride. Thank-you Candy for taking such good care of my baby and helping me to have a good vacation just knowing how much you care about the pooches that you are caring for. I also loved the updates and photos. We will be back and I would highly recommend Candy for anyone that is looking for a pet sitter in this part of Louisisana near Lafayette.”

“An amazing sitter. I went on a 5 day cruise and was so nervous about leaving my fur baby with anybody. Thankfully, Tenashia took my very last minute request and the experience was a 10/10. Very responsive when I checked in on him. She cared for my dog as if he were hers, and I couldn’t be happier. Super friendly, when I met her I knew my baby was in good hands. Will definitely book again.”

“This was the best experience we have had so far on Rover! Lindsey was phenomenal at taking care of our extremely active dog. Received daily photos of my dog and constant communication about how his day went. Will be booking again!”

“Louie seemed happy and well taken care of when we picked him up from his stay. I’d be comfortable bringing him back to Allyson. You can tell she cares about animals and their wellbeing.”

“Brianna took great care of our fur babies and sent lots of pics/videos to keep us updated daily! She cared for them like they were her own. I would highly recommend her to sit/care for your own.”

“Everything was perfect. Raven took very well care of our dog. Her house is very clean and the dog staid together with her family and her own dogs. She walkes the dogs and she even prepared special dog food. She was also flexible when our picking up was delayed a little. Communication was fast and easy. Thank you!”

“Karyn graciously accepted a last minute booking and was wonderful to work with. She took the time to send multiple videos of Bear to reassure us that he was in good hands for the night and was settling in and getting along with her pup Dakota and her long term stay Stella.”

“Jahzah is amazing! She provided regular updates with the cutest photos, which gave me a piece of mine while I was away. My dog was clearly happy and well cared for. I will definitely take my dog back to her. I felt like my dog was truly on vacation as well! :)”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
