“Adam and Amanda are the best! There are plenty of other dog sitters who live closer to me, but there’s a reason why I am willing to drive 45 minutes one way to drop off Rocky. I know he will be taken care of and loved. Which is a peace of mind for our family.”

“Abby was super awesome. We did one overnight and our pup was well taken care of and was returned to us happy! She was really flexible on pick up and drop off times which is always helpful. We will definitely be coming back, thanks Abby!”

“Dylan was very nice and gave me daily feedback and pictures of my puppies. The puppies had plenty of room to play and stretch their puppy legs. I would definitely rebook.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kendra did an amazing job watching my fur baby Rylo! She kept me updated throughout his stay with plenty of pictures and messages, which truly put my mind at ease while I was away and showed how much fun he was having. It was clear he was well cared for and loved. To top it all off, she even sent him home with a sweet gift 🥹💖. I’m so grateful for her care and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter! I will definitely be booking again for future stays.”

“Our bur baby had a wonderful stay! As first time Rover users we were a bit nervous, but so grateful to have found such a loving home to have Alma stay for our vacation. We were delighted to get pictures daily and happy to see our girl in such a happy place 🐾 🐶 🥰 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”

“Amy and her family were great! Cleo is an old dog, I usually take her with me but this time we were traveling for a funeral. It was our first time using Rover or leaving her with others, I was nervous. Our drop off time was early in the day but they were accommodating. Amy kept me posted on how Cleo was doing and sent pics every day which was unexpected but very much appreciated. Cleo clearly got lots of love from the whole family. I highly recommend Amy and Grant P. (and family.)”

“Damacia was fantastic! Our Goldendoodle puppy loved playing with her dogs and was very well-cared for. She came home clean, happy and tired! We’d definitely recommend and will use Damacia in the future. We are so grateful to have found her!”

“I was extremely satisfied with the care Bentley received while with Amanda and her family. Her fur babies were very welcoming to Bentley and I felt he was happy with his new friends. To my surprise, they went on a “field trip” where they were allowed to run off leash and smell and play in a very large confined space . I worried he would not want to leave with me and leave his friends behind. I highly recommend Amanda and will definitely use her in the future!!”

About: • Home full-time • Only 1–2 guest dogs at a time • Large fenced backyard • Constant supervision • Family environment • Daily enrichment and play • Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR Certified • 30 years of dog experience • Meet & greet required for every new client. Dogs have been a part of my life for over 30 years, and caring for them is one of my greatest passions. I've raised and trained my own dogs throughout my life, volunteered with pet shelters and continued expanding my knowledge by learning from professional dog trainers, working with a canine behaviorist, attending obedience classes, and reading about canine behavior and psychology. As a Stay at home Mom, I'm home most of the day allowing me to provide constant supervision, companionship, and individualized care. Your dog will enjoy a large, securely fenced backyard, a calm cage-free environment (unless you provide your own crate), and lots of love and attention. I intentionally limit my care to no more than two guest dogs at a time so every dog receives personalized care. A meet-and-greet is required before the first booking to ensure everyone is a good fit. Guest dogs must be at least one year old, house-trained, friendly with other dogs, and comfortable around children ages 4 and 7. I do not accept puppies or cats to my home. My goal is to provide a safe, loving home where your dog feels like part of the family while you're away. Where dogs spend the day like part of the family! As a stay-at-home mom, I'm home throughout the day, allowing me to provide frequent potty breaks, playtime, companionship, and constant supervision. I intentionally accept a limited number of dogs so each one receives individualized attention. Enrichment activities; Snuffle mats Enrichment treats (owner approved, of course) Puzzle toys Backyard sniff sessions Fetch Sprinkler or kiddie pool (seasonal) One-on-one play and belly rubs Your furbaby spends the day: playing sniffing socializing supervised backyard time relaxing indoors napping showered with attention You pick up a tired, happy dog after! Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home has a large, securely fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play, and dogs are never left outside unattended. I provide a calm, cage-free environment unless you prefer to bring your dog's own crate. Baby gates are used to separate areas of the home when needed. I accept a maximum of two guest dogs at a time to keep the environment safe and low stress. All guest dogs must be at least one year old, house-trained, fully vaccinated, non-reactive toward other dogs, and comfortable around children ages 4 and 7. I do not accept puppies or board cats. Meet-and-greets are required before every first booking to ensure everyone is comfortable and a good match.
“Laura was fantastic! She sent updates and pictures everyday. Nellie had the most fun with Laura and her family. I loved how they really adopted Nellie into the family for the week!”

“Star appeared to have a great time with Laura and family and be well taken care of. She had a nice large yard to run in and both caregivers were clear dog lovers and she immediately took to them. I would definitely use them again!”

“Christine and Nick were amazing! They took such great care of our Frenchie for a week while we were out of the country. They sent daily pictures with updates. Took her on walks and she played with their two dogs. Their dogs were GREAT with her and well trained. I highly recommend them!! Thank you so much!!!”

“Radka and James were fantastic! They treated our Chai like a part of their family. She didn’t want to leave. Chai was well exercised and had a great role model in their dog, Scooter. When we need boarding again, we will not hesitate to contact Radka and James!”

“This was the first time I ever needed to board my dog. Ms. Tracey was absolutely wonderful with my Sullivan. She took great care of him and sent us plenty of pictures so we would not miss so much. I would recommend her to anyone looking to board their dog. She is definitely at the top of our list if we ever need this service again. Thank you so much Rover/Ms. Tracey.”

“Deven and Tyreek provided excellent care for our dog while we were away and sent photos of her every other day. We really appreciated the piece of mind they provided so that we could enjoy ourselves!”

“Lisa is amazing and took great care of my boy, Henry! She provided updates and photos while dog sitting and has a nice home with fully fenced backyard to accommodate any dog. Henry enjoyed his stay and we'll definitely look to work with her again for dog sitting needs.”

“I’ve boarded my dog with Cassandre twice now and he loves staying with her! Cassandre sends a lot of photo updates every day, which I love. Parker gets lots of walks and attention for her and I know he’s being taken of. He comes home tired from all the fun he’s had! I would recommend Cassandre to anyone looking for a responsible and fun Rover for their pup.”

“This was our first-time using Miranda and she made us feel comfortable from the very start. We started with a pre-stay meet and greet to make sure our dogs got along, and everything went perfectly. Miranda did an awesome job with Draco from the time we dropped him off until the time we picked him up. She sent us many videos and pics and in all of them he looked super happy. It really seemed that he had acclimated and became a part of her family, and they treated him as such. He also really enjoyed playing with their son and their beautiful chocolate lab. We will definitely be using her again in the near future. Draco looked like he was having such a great time in all the pictures and videos, and we were worried that he wouldn't want to come back home to us LOL.”

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
