I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a Black Lab Pitbull mix, and I currently help care for my brother’s dogs—a German Shepherd, Boston Terrier mix, and another mixed breed. My home has a calm, cozy lake-house cottage vibe. We’re located in a quiet development on a low-traffic dirt road in the Lakeville/Hawley area. The neighborhood is peaceful, especially in the winter, and while summers can be a bit busier, it remains very walkable and relaxed. We have both a front yard and a backyard with a hill that leads down toward the lake, perfect for fresh air and scenic walks. Inside, the environment is calm and comfortable, with two couches (including a pull-out couch) and beds upstairs where dogs can relax and feel at home. There are no other pets in the home, and I’m home often to provide supervision, attention, and care throughout the day.
About: Ever since I was little I have had an overwhelming love for all animals. No matter where I go I am constantly pointing out an animal, asking its owner more about them, and stopping to pet them! I have grown up with/had dogs my entire life. I have also been pet sitting for friends and neighbors since I was a teenager. During these years I have cared for many animals with different personalities and needs. My own dogs are definitely quirky and I understand that every dog is different and deserves personalized care. I also provide daily medications for my dogs, so I am very used to following specific routines and comfortable giving pets the extra care they may need. I will always treat your animals with love and patience, while, of course, giving them lots and lots of attention. Animals are family! My daily schedule is flexible because I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree online, while allows me to build my schoolwork around a consistent routine. Being that I have plenty of flexibility throughout my day, this provides ample time for dog walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention and care they deserve. In every environment, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort. I really enjoy learning about dogs and am constantly researching their behaviors and body language. I believe understanding how a dog communicates is such an important part in taking care of them. I always take the time to get to know each dog’s unique personality, energy level, and individual cues so I can better understand how they are feeling and make them comfortable around me. My dogs in my own home are truly part of the family and are very spoiled and pampered. I make sure they receive lots of attention, love, and enrichment, and I take their comfort and happiness very seriously. Caring for my own pets, for my whole life, has taught me how important it is to notice the little things and truly understand animals. When caring for pets in other people’s homes, I follow their routines and instructions closely and treat their home and belongings with the same respect I would my own. I am always mindful of keeping any doors and gates secure, providing plenty of supervision and attention, and making sure each pet gets the exercise, interaction, and care they need. My goal is for every pet I take care of to feel just as loved, comfortable, and well cared for as the animals in my own home.
About: As recent empty nesters (we lost our senior pup Charlie🐾 in 2024 to old age) we look forward to providing a loving and calm home for your pup to land while you are away. My husband and I work freelance in advertising and I am also a part-time librarian. We have started pet sitting to add back some joy to our quieter days. We enjoy a good couch potato for company while we send emails, but we also would love a companion for our daily walks on our quiet dirt road! We have cozy beds waiting in every room, including the premo spots- in front of the fireplace and access to all the people-couches - so your pup will always be comfortable as they inevitably follow us around the house in your absence. We have experience with managing modified diets as well as administering oral medications, please feel free to share any special needs or rituals your pet may have. Our WFH lifestyle means that we can accommodate any needs your pet may have. If your dog has a specific midday potty break followed by couch time, we can make it happen. Does your dog need a song sung before they will eat their breakfast? No problem. Can they only lay down for bed with a specific plushy and their blanket freshly folded? We've been there. Please let us know about your friend's quirks so that we can do our best to fill in for you while you're away. We have a spacious clean house that your pet will have access to with a variety of dog beds and toys for their stay. Please feel free to provide a crate if your dog prefers, we have room! If sitting in your home we will be mindful of house rules and make sure to maintain consistency for your pet so they feel secure while you're away.

A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away to ease your anxiety. I have a white pitbull fur baby (Minnie). Shes a loyal, sweet and well behaved dog, I’m so lucky and thankful for her every day as she brings me so much happiness. Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
