About: I have been taking care of animals for 36 years. I use to run a non profit 501c3 dog rescue for 15 years when I use to live in NC I can handle medical animals, use to giving medications and animals with disabilities. My passion is animals, changing laws and saving lives. Cats and dogs accepted. Have even had pigs, chickens, birds and reptiles. Many references available. I work from home so I am available almost all the time. I do have a 12 year old , very responsible daughter who does accompany me sometimes. When permitted , of course . About: Ever since I was little I have had an overwhelming love for all animals. No matter where I go I am constantly pointing out an animal, asking its owner more about them, and stopping to pet them! I have grown up with/had dogs my entire life. I have also been pet sitting for friends and neighbors since I was a teenager. During these years I have cared for many animals with different personalities and needs. My own dogs are definitely quirky and I understand that every dog is different and deserves personalized care. I also provide daily medications for my dogs, so I am very used to following specific routines and comfortable giving pets the extra care they may need. I will always treat your animals with love and patience, while, of course, giving them lots and lots of attention. Animals are family! My daily schedule is flexible because I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree online, while allows me to build my schoolwork around a consistent routine. About: Hi, Everyone! My name is Cara. Thank you for visiting my page. My strong admiration for animals has only grown more with the more animals I meet and as a result, it brings me genuine happiness. It is a rewarding experience to be able to take care of any animal that needs it while their owner is away. Since starting Rover in August 21’, I’ve had 10+ repeat clients and have established great friendships with families/people in the community as a result. I have a M-F teaching position 8am-4pm and summer months off. I am currently a part time Binghamton University graduate student studying for a masters degree in early childhood special education. A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away to ease your anxiety. About: I've been taking care of pets since before I remember. Growing up I cared of neighbors', family members' and friends' pets on a multitude of occasions to go on long walks, feed, bathe, and give attention to whilst they are away. Ive taken care of newborn kittens and puppies as well as elderly fuzzy friends who need meds and daily iv's/shots. Ive even assisted a cat birth and successfully resuscitated a kitten! Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
