“Isabella was on-time, followed our instructions perfectly, and went above and beyond sharing pics of her visits and bringing our kitty treats and having play-time with her. We WILL hire her again!”

“Jasmine did a spectacular job taking care of our kitties! She was sweet and very communicative! I felt at peace on our trip knowing they were in such good hands. Thank you so much!!”

“As always, above and beyond care from Anna. Anxious pet parents, look no further for someone who will calm your fears. Anna gives such thorough photos and updates while you're away and those photos make it clear she loves caring for your animals.”

“Our booking was awesome! Tracey cared for our animals as if they were her own and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of while we were away! Definitely recommend!”

“We had a short notice trip and thankfully we're able to find Anthony available. After a meet and greet with our 2 adult dogs and 1 puppy we knew it would go well. Even our puppy who is a little hesitant of new people loved him immediately. Anthony did good with sending pictures, keeping the house clean, and making sure to send updates.”

“Taya was outstanding! I could see the 'boys' change from the initial stand offish to enjoying her arrival and playtime with the daily videos. Being in England it was comforting to know they were being well cared for. We will be using Taya for all our future trips.”

“Liz took exceptional care of my two kitties while I was away on a week-long vacation. She came over daily to give them both wet food, clean their litter boxes, and give my problem child cat his daily dose of miralax. 😀 I feel it’s important to note that my cats are not simple creatures. One of them eats too fast and needs his wet food served on a puzzle feeder. The other one eats too slow and will walk away from his food unless someone is holding his plate while he eats. Liz followed all directions (no matter how ridiculous the request) and more importantly, she didn’t make me feel silly for asking. Liz is reliable, so warm and friendly, and gentle with animals. I came home to happy, well cared for fur babies (who are probably wondering when they will see their new friend next) I will be rebooking and absolutely recommend her to others!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
