“Melody is excellent! I’m very grateful for her. I used her for the first time back at the end of February or beginning of March. My eight year old cat had stopped eating and was not doing great. I had to leave the country for about a week. During that time, Melody took him to my regular vet, at least contacted her vet and possibly took him there too, helped coordinate getting him a feeding tube placed, communicating with me throughout, and managing his unexpected tube feedings. Oh, did I mention that I changed the frequency of visits, length of visits, and also added an extra cat to her plate while all of this is going on? It was no small undertaking to say the least. Throughout all of it, and even this most recent visit, Melody takes excellent care of my pets.”

About: My first word was kitty. Not kidding! Since my very first word, animals of all kinds have always been a huge part of my life. I have either owned or cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, fish, birds, frogs, horses, goats, and…well, the list goes on. Not matter what four legged (or more or less legged!) friend you need care for, I’m your girl. I have experience caring for all ages (bottle-fed to seniors) all sizes, and many, many different needs. I am experienced in providing wound care and other medical needs, and I am comfortable with animals of all temperaments. My years of experience has taught one thing: ALL animals are unique, and each needs to be cared for individually. My work is freelance and gig based, so I often have large stretches of time open and my day to day routine is very flexible. I typically try to book Housesitting stays about a month in advance, but if I am available, I am happy to book last minute! Call it a cruel twist of fate, but my landlord doesn’t allow pets. So, I have TONS of love to share with yours! While I won’t be bringing any of your furry friends home with me, I am always willing to come to them and provide care in the space they are most familiar with and comfortable in. I have four of my own and I would adopt more if my husband would win the lottery and buy us a dog farm lol. I do not mix my dogs with your pets to ensure safety of all puppers! I will care for your pet(s) just like I would any of mine. I don't have children, I have fur babies :-) My house has a large fenced backyard with trees and is just like being in the woods. I will follow the instructions you leave for me, feed them at the times that you request, and dispense any medication as instructed. I am great with communication and will absolutely send you pictures and updates throughout the day because Id want them as well! I work from home and my schedule is very flexible, so I will be able to check on the babies all day and play as needed. If I am coming to your home overnight, I will need access to wifi for work, that is mandatory. I would love to take care of and play with your furbabies; they’re family too. I have a fenced in backyard, but I can also leash walk your pets as needed. We also have a great nature trail within 5 minutes of my home for higher energy dogs.

I'm currently available to look after your pets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at anytime. I would like a day in advance so I have time to prepare. I have three cats and a dog. One of my cats is in her senior years so she requires special foods. I like to keep my animals environments very clean and stress free for them. I have no problem with giving medications to any animal. I don't mind what size or how old the animal is I think they all deserve great care.
